Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.624 Cosmo Blazer

CH.624 Cosmo Blazer

Yeah. You know what I’m doing. I got a new set from the fissure, , so I’m opening some packs. 10 of them, as is standard.

Let’s get into it.

Spoiler

Pyrotech Mech - Shiryu is a nice attacker. 2900 attack and piercing is good. And it is a Pyro-type, and I don’t have all that many of them. I mean my strongest Pyro-type monster, ignoring Uria and Helios Trice that have undetermined attack, is Volcanic Doomfire. And Pyrotech Mech - Shiryu is the next strongest after that.

Inari Fire is a fire fox. I’m giving it to Unika, nothing more to it.

The Big Cattle Drive is a really cool card, and it could really help some decks. But the restriction it has kills it and makes it basically unusable. If it only prevented you from using other spells or traps, it would be so much better while still having a downside.

Bacon Saver can stop an attack by banishing itself from the GY. But only once per duel. It isn’t bad, but it really doesn’t need that once per duel restriction.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Hawk is another monster that will probably go to Unika. It is a Beast-Warrior who uses a bow and fire. Could there be a better fit?

Fire Formation - Tenki is just a great spell.

Crimson Sunbird I already had. Got it a long time ago from the Fusion challenge. But crazy that it was actually printed for the first time in this set. TCG really doesn’t know how to import cards.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Gorilla is interesting. Since it can set spells from the deck, I think it will just make new Fire Formation spells. I need to use him at some point, as there might be some broken Fire Formation spells, assuming that they made more of them. And I don’t see why they wouldn’t have.

And Fool of Prophecy is fine. He summons level 5 or higher Dark Spellcasters from the deck, but I already had that effect on Temperance of Prophecy. Actually, Temperance of Prophecy can get both Light and Dark Spellcasters, so it is better than Fool of Prophecy.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Hazy Glory is … not that great for me. I don’t need to tribute summon in the first place, and just adding stuff from GY to hand really isn’t all that special.

Hazy Flame Cerbereus is fine, but nothing special.

Hazy Pillar is basically the same as Hazy Glory. Cool, but pretty useless for me. … do Hazy Flames have any level 8 monsters? I don’t think they do, but if they did, if you had both Hazy Pillar and Hazy Glory active, could you summon those monsters without tributing? Because I feel like you should be able to.

Fire Formation - Tensen is nice. The attack boosts, both the temporary and continuous, are nice.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Raven can, like Gorilla, get me Fire Formation Spells. It also protects Fire Formation Spells and Traps.

Heraldry Change can end the battle phase. The other part doesn’t matter. Sadly that means that Heraldry Change is just a worse Negate Attack.

ZW - Ultimate Shield can ‘resurrect’ banished Xyz monsters and can give Utopia a 2k defense buff. Not bad, but still probably one of the worst ZW monsters.

Heraldic Beast Leo has 2k attack, kills itself at the end of the turn it was normal summoned, and searches other Heraldic Beasts. Fine, but could be better.

And Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Lion Emperor is okay. It just recovers Fire monsters from the GY, but you can’t summon that monster that turn.

I got higher rarity cards two packs in a row. I’d say that is a great start, but for some reason, I feel like I won’t get any more higher rarity cards this opening. Let’s see if I’m right with the next pack.

Spoiler

Heraldic Beast Unicorn banishes itself, from the GY, to resurrect a Psychic-type Xyz monster. Sure its effects are negated, but that is still an amazing graveyard effect.

Garbage Lord is just a level 5 you can special summon. But I can normal summon for free and without tributes, so I don’t need it.

Heraldic Beast Eale specials itself from the hand. I don’t need that.

Hazy Flame Sphynx is untargetable by effects and can potentially summon Fire monsters from hand or GY.

Leotaur is basically just a 2k monster. Because how do you define a ‘normal monster’ in this world? Maybe a monster that can’t use magic? Still, it is nice.

Fire Formation - Tenken is an okay defensive card.

Dimension Gate is great. Not for what it does, but it should help me make stabilized portals between this world and the Monster World.

Ignition Beast Volcannon is … pretty bad. All it does is targeted destroy a monster and burn for its attack. But it dies in the process. If it didn’t die, I’d say it is fine, but since it does, it is bad.

And ZW - Tornado Bringer is nice. Good attack boost and targeting immunity to boot.

Spoiler

Mermail Abyssnose special summons Mermail monsters, so that is nice.

Jurrac Impact is here to remind me of what I did in the Monster World. Though I don’t regret it. And it is fine, but I have better cards for that.

Garbage Ogre just searches Garbage Lord.

Hazy Flame Griffin just special summons itself.

Double Shark can double attack, and it also reduces the level of your level 4 Fish monsters to 3.

And Hazy Flame Basiltrice is pretty cool. I can summon it with a ton of material, so it will have boosted attack, targeting immunity and destruction immunity. And the banishing effect is pretty nice as well. I may not have liked the other Hazy Flames that much, but this one is really nice.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Xyz Remora is just a free 3 material Water Xyz monster. Kind of.

Dice-nied sucks. It is way too specific.

Star Drawing is a decent Xyz material, as it can be a level 5 and you get to draw a card when using it for an Xyz summon.

And Crimson Blader is good in the TCG, but it doesn’t matter for me.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Zerozerock is kind of a cool idea, protecting your 0 attack monsters. Sadly it isn’t that useful for me.

Xyz Double Back is fine, but it does destroy the resurrected monsters during the end phase.

Red Duston feels like something you give to your opponent, I just need to find the card you use to do that.

March of the Monarchs is obviously amazing. Just because I don’t have to tribute summon doesn’t mean that I can’t. And some of my God cards still need to be tribute summoned.

Heraldic Beast Basilisk is just a suicide bird that takes down whatever killed it.

Infernal Flame Vixen is quite pretty, but her effects are okay at best.

And Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights is pretty nice. He grabs three Noble Arms from the GY on summon, and can destroy a lot of Spells and Traps with the detach effect.

Next pack.

Spoiler

After the Storm is meh GY recovery.

Abyss-scorn is cool, as it is a double trap. Either you get an attack boost, or you get to destroy your opponent’s stuff.

And Heraldic Beast Twin-Headed Eagle can get Xyz material onto an Xyz monster.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Xyz Dimension Splash is way too specific. I guess I can banish it myself, but even then, is it really worth the effort?

Amarylease is basically a Hazy Flame. Well, it reads like it is in this set to help Hazy Flames. But I suppose it works decently in any archetype that wants to normal summon level 6 monsters.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Abyss-scale of Cetus does remind me that I have that other Abyss-scale card I wanted to use as a base for an undersea armor set. But Abyss-scale of Cetus is good, 800 attack is nice and the trap negation is also good.

Dododo Bot is fine, but just a shame you can’t normal summon it.

Spikeshield with Chain reads like a card that would have been made for Superheavy Samurai. It is fine.

Quick Booster is interesting. It shuffles a Quick-Play Spell to the deck, but if it is destroyed, you can search for a Quick-Play Spell. Both are potentially good effects, even if one is way better.

And Ultimate Fire Formation - Seito is crazy. It does a ton, summons like all the monsters and you even get new Fire Formation spells and traps.

Next pack.

Spoiler

Fire Formation - Tensu gives an additional normal summon. Which I don’t really need.

Goblin Circus probably won’t even work for me, and even if it did, why would I use it?

Xyz Tribalrivals protects Xyz monsters that have 2 or more materials.

And Blackwing - Gladius the Midnight Sun does special itself, but that is all it does and the condition is a bit too specific.

But at least I can confidently say that I was wrong about one thing. My prediction I made after pack 2. Yeah, I was wrong. I got four higher rarity cards, which is great.

A few days after the fissure, I got a call from Narra Kingdom. I naturally answered, and was happy to hear the King on the other end.

He’d thank me for dealing with the miasma blob, as well as keeping the damage to the city to a minimum. He also extended some thanks from the business owners of the buildings I took into Storage, as I ran the Storage auto-repair on them, so some problems in the buildings were repaired.

Yes I also scanned them for data reasons, as well as checked them for any contraband. But I didn’t notice anything illegal, so I didn’t have to report anything.

The King continued by thanking me for giving half of the worms monster cores to them.

The worm had nine of them, by the way. I kept five for us and donated the other half for the kingdom so they could have reconstruction funds. … and then I had Lawrence purchase them all, as I could put them to use. It was honestly just a way to shove some money to Narra Kingdom without it seeming like a donation.

From what I know, the money was used to fix the square, as well as for the first smartphone purchase by Narra Kingdom. They just got two of them, but it is still something. And the King promised he would keep his with him, and he wouldn’t be having someone else answer it if I called.

So at least I no longer have to deal with randoms answering the phones of other people.
