"Good morning, Boss!" Dom greeted.

Iris smiled. "Good morning, Dom. What are you so excited about so early in the morning?"

She already had an idea why but still asked him.

Dom waved his phone. "Director He called just now to inform me about the ratings of last night's episode of MusicFest Tonight. Boss, it's the highest the program has gotten this year so far!"

Iris chuckled.

"Director He says that he'll send something later today to thank you," Dom added.

She nodded. Of course, this made her excited and allowed herself a few moments to enjoy the feeling. But soon, she went into business mode.

Dom also quickly recovered. The two of them were discussing today's schedule when Jin Liwei came out fully dressed in a business suit.

"Good morning, sir boss!" Dom greeted.

"Morning," Jin Liwei said with a nod. Then he asked his wife, "Ready for breakfast?"

"Yes." Iris made a final check on her casual outfit in the mirror.

She didn't wear any makeup today, just a bright lip gloss. There would be another quick rehearsal this morning. Then her glam team would get her ready for another live performance on an afternoon TV program. After that would be another series of guestings.

Iris, Jin Liwei, and Dom headed to the dining area where the twins had just finished eating their breakfast with the nannies. The cats and dogs were also there.

The family chatted while Iris and the other two ate their own breakfast.

Afterwards, they said goodbye to the reluctant children.

Jin Liwei wanted to drop off his wife before heading to the company, so Iris rode in his car.

Dom took her executive van, directly heading to the studio ahead of her. This was also to make sure that the security around the studio was tight when she arrived.

"I know you're busy," Iris said. "You don't have to accompany me every time."

Jin Liwei took her hand and kissed it. "But I want to."

Despite being together with him this long and already having children together, she still felt her heart flutter when he looked at her like that, kissed her hand like that, and spoke to her like that.

She fought a foolish smile from spreading across her face and looked away. "Do what you want."

"En. You're going to be busier than me. I have to make sure that you stay healthy."

She glared at him. "Speak for yourself! You still haven't gained all the weight you lost when…when Grandma Li…." She sighed. "I know that there's still a lot to do when it comes to settling our inheritance from Grandma Li, but there's no need to do everything by yourself. What's the point of hiring subordinates if they can't function without you checking every little single thing?"

Jin Liwei gave her hand another kiss before pulling her for a tight embrace. "I know, love. But I just can't completely be at ease because those assets are from my grandmother. I need to make sure that everything is accounted for and each asset goes to whom my grandmother intended them to go."

She sighed again. "Just take care of yourself."

"I will, love. After this is settled, I won't worry you any more about my health. I promise."

"You better do as you promised," she muttered. "I instructed our chef to send lunch for you again today. Make sure to eat all of it. Ketchup will tell me if you don't!"

"That's right, spotlight!" Ketchup's voice sounded inside the car.

Fortunately, the driver was already used to it or he would have crashed there and then.

"Daddy better do as he promised mommy or the cute and mighty Ketchup would tattle like a good kitty baby! Meow~"

Iris chuckled.

Jin Liwei sighed but there was a smile on his face. "Alright, Dad promises."

"Love ya, Daddy~ And of course, Ketchup loves Mommy the most! Meow~"

Too soon, they arrived at JJ's record company. They could see a swarm of people waiting by the main entrance. There were paparazzi and a lot of curious bystanders.

There should also be some Black Stars there, but Iris had already requested her fan club to refrain from crowding in front of JJ's company. Most of her fans complied, but there were still some who were stubborn and insisted on waiting to see her no matter what. These were relatively new fans who hadn't yet fully assimilated into the Black Stars fan club.

Iris didn't worry about them too much. In due time, they would learn how to conduct themselves better as Black Stars. If they still refused to follow the fan club's rules, then they weren't real Black Stars to begin with. The fan club's admin team would eventually kick the unruly ones out.

The car headed to the underground parking lot where the crowd outside couldn't reach.

Jin Liwei hugged and kissed her before letting her go with great reluctance.

"Go and have fun today, love," he told her.

"Thanks, darling. You, too. Take care of yourself."

"En."

The husband and wife finally parted.

Iris only felt a little reluctant to leave him. She felt more excited about returning to work full-time. Although today's schedule was extremely busy, her excitement and anticipation were through the roof. She couldn't wait to do her thing, especially to once again perform in front of a live audience at this afternoon's TV program.

Jin Liwei knew how his wife was feeling. He felt a little abandoned but quickly readjusted his feelings.

He watched as Dom and the security escorted her inside the building before instructing the driver to leave.
