His Genius Wife Is A Superstar

Everyone cheered and downed the contents of their wine glasses. Since they still have another rehearsal and performance tomorrow, nobody dared to overdrink tonight. Most of them, like Iris Long, just drank water or juice instead of alcohol. The others only took a sip.

JJ, however, didn't have such a concern. He chugged wine as if it were water and even asked the waiter for another bottle when it ran out.

Iris and the others didn't bother with him. Having worked with him long enough, they knew that although JJ was temperamental, he was still an extremely reliable, disciplined, and hardworking producer.

"Boss Iris, look!"

She and the others glanced at the musician who just exclaimed. He was holding his phone and waving it.

"Our song, 'I, the Dreamer', has climbed to the number one position for the day!"

Everyone cheered once again, louder this time.

This morning, "I, the Dreamer", debuted at number two in the music charts. Although it was a little bit disappointing that the song didn't debut at number one at the get-go, number one was already good, especially for Iris Long who just emerged from a long hiatus.

In addition, the song was in full English. The Chinese version hadn't launched yet. Iris' team was already looking forward to see how the Chinese version would fare compared to the original English version.

But before the day ended, the original English song quickly climbed to the top within a day. Everyone was delighted.

"Congratulations, Boss Iris!"

"Congrats!"

Iris stood up and raised another wineglass. Her glass was filled with plain tepid water.

"No, the credit is not mine alone to enjoy," she said. "This is all thanks to all of you for helping me bring my musical vision to life. Thank you, everyone, and congratulations!"

"Yeah!"

She also made sure to give Enrique Valdez and JJ a grateful nod.

Enrique Valdez raised his own wineglass to her. He was chilling in his own seat while eating dinner.

JJ was already intoxicated. Thankfully, he was a cheerful drunk this time. Much more pleasant than when he was a hot-headed sober.

The group didn't stay in the restaurant for too long. After finishing dinner, they all headed home. It would be another busy day tomorrow.

The next day, Iris woke up when she felt someone sucking on her lips. She inhaled a familiar scent. Without opening her eyes, her arms wrapped around the person's neck while she started returning the kiss.

"Wake up, baby." Jin Liwei moved his lips from her mouth to her neck.

Iris opened her eyes and extended her neck, giving him easier access.

They messed around for a few more moments before Iris' eyes drifted to the crib bed.

"The twins haven't woken up yet?" she spoke.

Just as she had spoken, the couple heard a cute squeak. It was one of the babies waking up and stretching.

The husband and wife froze. Their eyes were trained on the crib bed. Both of them wished that the little ones would give them a little more alone time.

Unfortunately, the inevitable still happened.

Little Mochi sat up and rubbed his eyes. Then he zeroed in on his parents and broke into a big smile.

"Mama! Dada!"

His little arms reached for them.

Iris patted Jin Liwei's chest.

He sighed, looking extremely reluctant, but still got off from above his wife. His upper body was bare. He didn't bother putting on a shirt.

Little Mochi now stood bouncing in the crib bed while reaching out for him.

Jin Liwei carried him.

By this time, his other son, Little Matcha, also woke up. Little Matcha wasn't fully awake yet, but he also reached up to his father.

With another sigh, Jin Liwei carried his other son. Then he carried the twins to the bed.

Iris threw the blanket away and grabbed her babies one after another. The twins snuggled to her.

"Good morning, my babies," she greeted them with a smile and kisses on their smooth, plump cheeks.

"Meow~"

"Meow!"

The two cats, Ice Cream and Popcorn, had also awakened. They both jumped to the bed and joined in asking their mommy for attention.

The guard dogs, Pudding and Chowder, wagged their tails at Jin Liwei while nudging their noses at him.

Jin Liwei once again sighed. He originally wanted to join his wife and children on the bed for another minute or two but the dogs wouldn't even allow him that.

"Wait for me, love," he said to Iris. "I'll just let the dogs out to pee."

"Okay," she said.

"Ice Cream, Popcorn, you come with us, too," he called out to his cat children.

Popcorn immediately jumped off the bed to follow his daddy who was putting on a T-shirt. Ice Cream looked reluctant to leave her mommy, but nature was calling. With a reluctant meow, she followed the others.

After the group went out, the nannies came knocking on the door next. The twins didn't want to let go of their mommy, but Iris had to start getting ready soon. She had another full day today.

Her mother's heart squeezed upon seeing her babies' adorable eyes which were looking at her with innocence. If only she could take them with her today. But it was too dangerous.

The Black Stars—her real, loyal fans—were fine, but a lot of other people, especially the media and paparazzi didn't have a concept of respecting the privacy of celebrities and that of their families.

Things would go even crazier now that she just made her big comeback. As her new songs became more and more popular, more people would also come flocking to see her in person.

She didn't want to risk her children's safety just because she wanted them to be with her all the time.

After appeasing her babies, Iris finally went to take a quick shower and started her daily morning skincare routine. The nannies also changed the twins' clothes and brought them out for breakfast.

By this time, Jin Liwei had returned. He gave her a quick kiss before hopping on for a quick shower as well.

While Iris was finishing up her skincare, there was another knock on the door.

It was Dom with an excited look on his face.
