A random pokemon journey

He had a point I had to admit. I wasn't like those people who coincidentally got involved with dealing with the bad guys, I CHOSE this. From the start I had never shied away from going for the throats of the criminals big or small. As he said there wasn't many people who chose the same. I took a deep breath and forced my own self depreciation down as I focused my mind on what was important, stopping Cyrus. Professor Rowan seemed to pick up on this change as he just smiled and stood there as I stood up and stretched.-

"I needed that, thank you." I said sincerely. He just nodded "If you really want to thank me make it hurt. Anyone capable of this deserves no mercy for they aren't human any more, just a monster in human skin." he said with steel in his voice. It was only at this point that I understood that it wasn't that he wasn't upset about the lakes but that he held his rage boiling just below the surface. I nodded seriously as I pulled on my connection to Rune and Tank who I hadn't balled yet to call them to me.-

Rowan seemed to marvel at my pokemon when they arrived kicking up a brisk wind from their rushing over. "The next you'll hear of me will be word of my success." I said as I mounted Runes back. Rowan nodded "God speed Alex." the old man said before Rune kicked off the ground and into the air rising rapidly to the clouds with Tank following closely behind. Rune didn't hold back at all and shot through the sky at full speed even using it's own flying type energy to remove drag so he left a trail from his speed.-

While he flew I pulled out the two skill tickets I had not used yet and tore them apart. I got Grooming and Parkour from the tickets and only had a slight twitch in my eyebrows as the knowledge of them poured in my head. The first was quite in depth about the various ways to groom various different types of pokemon, some of which I knew others I did not. The second skill however was much less in depth as it roughly boiled down to knowing how to move and land precisely in nearly any environment. I waited quietly as Rune shot through the air at an extreme speed.-

He knew where we were going and even if maintaining this speed wasn't sustainable it didn't matter since we'd have time to rest when we arrived. I saw the mountain long before we arrived as it stood high above the world around it. I felt the gazes land on me far more intensely this time as we approached but I merely ignored them even when they intensified dramatically the instant my foot touched the floor of the ruined temple at the top of the mountain.-

I released all my pokemon from their balls and even put Hade's keystone on the ground. "There are some seriously bad guys coming here in the near future and it's our job to stop them. Rune, Tank you are both on the sky. Nothing gets close to this place from the air, no holding back. Vulcan, Gaia you will cover this mountain in lava and sand to slow down any weaklings that approach. Yani, Hades, Cratos all of you will stay here with me and support the others. Get to it!" I commanded and my pokemon sounded off collectively before moving to fulfil my orders.-

Rune and Tank shot into the sky to keep guard there while Vulcan blurred as it ran off to the sides of the mountain and Gaia walked to the center of the temple. She began to glow with a blinding brown energy as sand began to manifest in the air around her in terrifying quantities that started to rise on unseen winds and spread around the top of the mountain. Soon a massive sandstorm raged around the peak of the mountain in such a large area that everyone in the region could see the brown swirling wall of sand that even caused the clouds around the mountain top to rotate around it.-

Soon bright red lava became visible as it flowed slowly down the mountains sides and many began to worry that there was something terribly wrong on the mountain but the league gave assurances that it was not an issue. Even with these assurances however people were nervous about these ominous phenomenon with a few even thinking it was the work of a legendary in a bad mood. They weren't far off really as both Vulcan and Gaia were filled with a fierce desire to rip Cyrus apart that mirrored my own cold simmering bloodlust.-

I had gone so far into my murderous rage that I had come full circle to a scarily clear mental state. Anyone near me would have felt a suffocating pressure on them as my aura roiled beneath my skin like the flames of the sun just waiting to burst forth and burn away everything. I held my spear in my right hand and focused my gaze on the only way into this place and waited. Once the set up was complete the drain on our energy was barely noticeable and we waited patiently for our foe to arrive.-

Cyrus didn't keep us waiting long as three hours later Rune and Tank started fighting within the sky causing lightning to flash and energy to explode as bodies dropped from above. A beam of energy shot through Gaia's sandstorm clearing a path to the temple where a dead faced man with sharp blue eyes and hair walks up in a silver vest and black pants. He sees me and my pokemon but does not seem surprised at all. "The moment you appeared in Sinnoh I knew that at the end of this you and I would face each other here at the apex of creation."-

"I must admit that you surprised me by isolating this place as you have. It is as if you knew that I would need to come here for my plan. Tell me how much you truly know of my plans?" he said as he stared at me. "I knew every single part of it. The red chains, the erasure of this world for one without spirit or emotion, everything. You will fail." I said firmly.
