A random pokemon journey

Divine intervention

Cyrus nodded calmly "Perhaps I will." he said calmly before throwing out two pokeballs causing a cat like pokemon with a red feather looking frill on it's head and black fur to appear as well as a long robust serpentine pokemon, a Weavile and Gyarados. "Shall we see?" he said confidently. I appraised both of these pokemon of his in an instant and frowned as they were higher level than I anticipated, MUCH higher. The Weavile was level ninety seven and the Gyarados was level ninety six which was slightly problematic.-

Not massively as all of my pokemon minus Cratos were well into the elite levels with even the lowest amongst them being one twelve. They all punched above their weight class as well so if anything even against the one twelve Yani it would be like fighting a pokemon at one thirty. Still both of these pokemon were close enough to the elite level where there was no chance they would go down easy unless we wanted to burn ourselves out. "Yani, Hades deal with them." I said firmly and neither argued. Yani might not want to fight but even she understood that this was not a battle she could opt out of.-

"Oh and what makes you think I don't have any other pokemon with me?" Cyrus asked calmly as our pokemon clashed. "I more than anyone know how powerful Gaia's sandstorm is and nothing short of almost champion level was going to punch a hole through it. Your subordinates lack the power for something like that which means you left behind your pokemon to reach here." I said as I stood at the ready in case he made a break for the altar behind me to summon the two primordial pokemon.-

He nodded in appreciation "It seems you've engineered this moment precisely to stop me. You've made a slight miscalculation however." he said pulling out two long crystalline red chains from his own bag at his hip "I don't need to reach that altar." he said as he held the chains aloft and the very air seemed to tremble as a ripple of energy rolled over the top of the mountain. The world held it's breath as two heavy presences descended upon the mountain as the void between dimensions ruptured and the owners of these auras stepped into the world. I was all but forced to my knees from the sheer overwhelming power that these two gods radiated.-

On the left stood a massive blue and silver quadruped with a large silver metallic fin on it's back and sharp features and red eyes that glared down at Cyrus imperiously, Dialga lord of time. Opposite Dialga stood an equally oppressive pearl white and red pink being standing on two legs and with softer more curved features and bright pink eyes that also glared at Cyrus with indignation, Palkia lord of space. The two red chains left Cyrus's hands and extended to float around these two gods putting them under his thrall while I could only watch helplessly under their powerful oppression.-

My right hand started to burn however and the oppression on me lifted like harmless mist. I was forced into a passenger position within my own body as a new and familiar presence filled me. Dark mist rose from my skin as the presence began to exert it's power on the world through me. Cyrus looked confused and even a little anxious at this change however "Quickly erase the world so that it may be made anew in my image!" he yelled at Dialga and Palkia.-

In an instant however my body moved faster than even I could process and seemed to almost manifest next to Dialga and stab out with my spear that was also covered in this dark power. "BOOM!" the red chain barely resisted before it shattered in a violent explosion releasing Dialga who looked at me with what appeared to be a conflicted expression. My body moved again and the chain around Palkia also shattered violently. "NOO! Do you have any idea what you have done!? I was going to build a perfect world and you destroyed it!" Cyrus roared in outrage.-

The presence within me began to shift like flowing sludge and the dark power coating my body concentrated into my right hand before my arm swung to the side yet seemed to not move through the air but strike some invisible barrier instead. The power spread from that point of contact as a hole in reality was forced open and a portal appeared while the presence in my body relinquished it's hold over my body. I collapsed with heavy breaths as a tsunami of exhaustion rolled over me and my entire body ached in pain.-

From the portal two long tendrils of darkness shot out and grabbed Cyrus as well as myself before dragging us both into the portal. I felt that wretched sensation of being pulled in every direction at once from the inside out before landing on solid ground. "Where is this?" Cyrus demanded angrily from nearby. I caught my breath before answering "The distortion world, home to the third god involved in the creation of the world that you didn't know about, Giratina. My patron." I said with a self mocking laugh. It was honestly so fucking obvious what had happened that it was almost hysterical.-

Giratina had used my blessing to perform a bit of divine intervention to stop Cyrus instead of busting a hole in the world to act personally against him. The reason it was almost funny was that more or less the whole event played out exactly like it did in the game with me taking Giratina's place. That begged the question why I was dragged into this realm as well however as I was no longer needed? Cyrus was stopped and Dialga and Palkia fucked off to their dimensional rifts outside reality to govern space and time like always.-

Yet I doubted Giratina had no purpose behind dragging me into the distortion world, again. It had something it wanted me to do here and that was more than enough to make me rather nervous. "That darkness, it was this Giratina's power wasn't it? What purpose does this being serve when space and Time are already governed?" Cyrus demanded. "Originally it was matter. After a certain incident though it was warped into antimatter. From creation to destruction though I personally believe it's purpose was to uphold a balance between the two you tried to enslave." I said seeing no reason why I should lie to a dead man walking.
