A God Killed Me By Accident, But I Reincarnated As The 4th Son Of The Marquis

Volume 14 Chapter 26: Team Up

Volume 14 Chapter 26: Team Up

Patting Knight on the head, "Alright, let's do this. We need to search for a water source." Water and food were crucial during this test. The first was more so than the second since he could get them through hunting. Keith stared at Knight, "Do you hear a stream?"

"Negh!" "Let's go." Jumping onto his back, the horse sped forward before arriving at the source. A beautiful stream of water flowed before them.

"Then we'll set up camp near here." Storing some water into the jug, Keith headed into a well-dense location. A location filled with trees made it difficult for monsters to spot him. There, he started to look over the items that he had on him.

Hmm, they took a good amount of my food. Keith did prepare a good number of ingredients to last throughout the week. However, the instructor told him there was no need for that much. He had no choice but to place it in his storage and leave it there.

I have two days' worth of rations. Two days, when compared to seven days, was not that much. This is really going to test our survival skills. He didn't need to worry about it so much since he could cook. For the others, it might be a challenge.

"Snort!"

Hearing the sound that came their way, Keith turned his head to see it was a boar.

Keith grinned, “Well, we got ourselves some tasty food.” Boar meat was a staple he used in the wild. Staring at the boar some more, it was nice, fat, and juicy.

"Let's-"

"Negh!" The one who made the move was Knight! The war horse took out the boar without even trying at all! Keith could only let out a dry chuckle, which caused the horse to nudge his cheek.

"Here," He brought out a carrot to feed him. Of course, he had to give him the treat for the insta-kill work.

"Since you're well-fed, it's my turn now."

Butchering the food, he started to cook. Boar stew was a good way to go. But while he was doing this,

Drip! Drip! Drip!

Droplets of rain slowly dropped down from the sky. Keith calmly stared before a grin formed. So that’s what they’re going to play with this. Turning to Knight, “Knight, we’ll be making camp right now.”

“Neigh!”

The same could be said about a certain lady. Krystal had taken down a beast. Food source and a safe shelter. She was similar to Keith in that she understood the importance of finding a secure shelter.

Her base was between two trees, their leaves blocking the water from drenching the tent. Krystal frowned. It's raining. She accounted for it somewhat. However,

Drip! Drip! Drip! The sounds of droplets trickling down so fast like bullets made her concerned.

Over at another area,

Jack scratched his head, almost causing a bald spot! Dammit, my tent is going to be drenched! It was a challenging situation. Should I move to another location? But the rain. Just looking at the droplets falling down, there was no way he could go out. While he thought of what to do,

Horses? Sounds of horses galloping could be heard. They were only getting closer as well.

"Coen?"

“Hello, Jack.” Coen had a distraught smile as he got off his horse.

“So I’m guessing the rain got to you too.”

"Mmhmm." Coen sighed, "I chose a horrible location, and my tent got drenched." Unlike Jack, who chose a somewhat okay location, his location didn't have leaves to block. The rain just poured onto his tent.

"...Can I stay here for the time being?"

"Sure." Jack nodded, "But I'm in a no better situation." His condition was about to become his.

Coen then suggested, “Let’s work together.” The final never stated they couldn't work together. Two heads were better than one in this situation.

"Sure. The first thing we need to do is to find a stable area to rest. I doubt the rain is going to stop." His tent was about to be drenched. If they couldn't get a good night's rest, this whole week would be hell.

Coen added, “How about we place an extra layer of leaf on top of the tent. We'll layer it." That would give them a barrier from the water.

"Then we need to go and collect a lot." The two started to get to work. Once they found enough, they took a deep sigh.

“That’s good.” Jack and Coen took a deep sigh. The situation was better.

“How are we going to proceed?" Finding a stable shelter was important; now, they needed to focus on the rest.

"We need to think like Keith." This was the standard they should follow. He was one of the few people who would head out and camp.

Jack thought for a moment, "We're going to need food and water." Those two were crucial. Damn, I wish I had some cookies. That would be helpful.

“Mmmhmm, besides food and water, we’re going to need to wait for the storm to die down.” This weather was not safe to fight in since they had horses. One mistake would make them get hit with pellets of rain. Today should be the eye of the storm, and it will probably go down afterward.

Coen laughed, “Mmhmm, let’s go out and hunt afterward.”
