Volume 14 Chapter 18: Those Three Are A Group?

Beads of sweat trickled down his body; despite Keith's weary state, his eyes never left the two dummies before him. This is difficult. It was the same training he had undergone when he first trained using gravity. There was no need to change something that wasn't broken.

However, it was more challenging this time.

To use gravity required an astronomical amount of mana. Moreover, increasing the amount required even more!

"Mnnnh." Keith bit his lower lip as the dummy slowly bent down. However, his mind slowly darkened.

Mana exhaustion.

He had been practicing for 30 minutes, and that alone was enough for his mana to be exhausted. Keith took a deep breath and took out some fruits and potions. Scarfing it done, the blurriness he had before slowly disappeared as he returned to work.

That was his method; to exhaust his body to the point of blacking out and then recover using fruits and other potions. Increase his mana capacity.

This notion would have been absurd if anyone had heard this; Keith was one of the individuals with the highest mana. However, it was not when he thought about the amount needed for gravity. While Keith continued to do so,

“Keith, are you alright?”

“Hello, Professor Aidiun. I'm alright, why?”

"..." Are you seriously alright? The man glanced to the side to see a bunch of bottles and peels on the ground. Clearly, he had been going at it for some time.

"Ahh, I'm trying to force my capacity to increase."

That caused the elf to frown, "That's dangerous." Forcing your vessel to increase in size was a dangerous game.

Keith shook his head, "I'm going to take the risk." Sometimes, there was a need to take a risk,

"And I'm doing so with breaks in between." He wasn't foolish. His plan was to waste as much mana as possible through gravity. Afterward, he would take a small break to regulate his body.

"..."

"I could increase my gravity by three times if I continue." Three times. That was his end goal. Three times may not seem a lot. But if someone was a hundred, they would be 300.

Aidiun nodded, "Impressive." And those bruises. Deep red calluses covered Keith's palm. Etched onto Keith's entire arm were a bunch of bruises and scars. Clearly, he had been working his butt off.

The elf added, “How about you try to think of another way to use it as well?”

"Hmm?"

“Think about how to use your gravity. You’ve been trying to focus on the person himself. But what about the entire area? That way, you can lower your concentration. But you just need to be careful of the situation.”

“That could work as well!” Keith clapped his hands together. Most of the time, he thought about just adjusting the gravity of the person, not adjusting the gravity surrounding it.

Actually, he never realized it.

Fighting the Goliath T-rex and the variant, when he used gravity, it was more so on the body rather than the area. Even when he did, it was a strained thought. The realization was only hitting him now.

"Let's do this." Keith had to try it now. But that was when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

“Eh?”

“I need to bring you back. I had orders from above.” Aidiun smiled as he held his shoulders tighter. When he returned home, he understood as well.

“I’m so sorry, Eri!” Keith patted the Fox girl’s head, but that only caused her to pout and look away,

“…Liar.” That one word was enough to cause Keith to freeze on the spot. 1000 hits of damage. It was clear that she was waiting for him to return home all day long. Lei and Mir were used as cushions to snuggle by the door.

He couldn’t help but hug her even tighter, “I’m so sorry! How about I take you out the whole day tomorrow?”

“…Promise?”

“Mmhmm! We can run around the city all you want!”

“Okay!” Eri was quickly bought off as Keith tossed her up in the air.

Witnessing those who witnessed this scene, Cadmus shook his head in disapproval, “You’re way too soft.”

"Shush!" Keith glared at the dragon, which caused him to look away.

Long Yueying added, "But weren't you the one who stayed by Eri's side the whole day, Dear?"

"Yueying!"

"But you were." Cadmus may have made jokes, but he also cared for Eri.

"Oh," Keith smirked at the dragon, who blushed now. There were no words that needed to be said as he headed to the kitchen to cook.

“I don’t see the three; where are they?” Carolyn, Scarlet, and Alfia were not here having their meal. Actually, most of the people were not present.

Jack explained, “Oh, all of them went to a dungeon. Herrick, Melor, Leona, and Gabriel are in one group while the others are the same.”

“Those are an interesting pairing.” The four were easy to guess: Gabriel had gone with them in case an emergency occurred. He would be there as backline while Leona acted as another support.

The princess trio intrigued him the most. He never thought those three would go together.

“…Will they be fine alone?” That was something that he was pretty curious about.

“They should be? They have quite the high power potential.” Super assault mages. Despite the three being long-range mages, they still have the capability to wipe out droves of monsters.

Keith shook his head, “I meant, what if they would go against one another and blow up the floor by mistake.” Firepower was not the issue with them; if it was, someone else would have gone with them. The issue at hand was the craziness they had. You have;

A cat, dog, and bird together.

That was not a good combination by any standard.

“...” Cadmus and the others paused.

Diana waved her hand, “There’s really no need to worry about something like that. They’re old enough not to fight in the dungeon.”
