Volume 1 Chapter 6: Meeting His Brother

I got scolded so much! Keith couldn't help but let out a big sigh from his mouth. After he got cleaned, Sophia lectured the daylight out of him. 

He wasn't the only one who got chewed out. Sophia punished the maids as well. 

I have to apologize to them one day. Guilt was written over Keith's face. Thankfully, Sophia didn't fire any of them. The only thing they got was a pay cut. 

When Keith was about to sleep, he noticed the owl arriving at his window. 

"Abba!" Hello! Keith greeted the owl. The bird had been coming to his room for quite some time now. Bit by bit, the owl got closer to him. 

In the beginning, the owl stayed on the window ledge. It was now standing on the crib's ledge. 

Keith was happy about this. 

I want to touch your feathers. The owl's feathers were gorgeous. While Keith moved his hand around, the owl tilted its head. It seemed like the bird understood what the baby wanted as it jumped into the crib. 

The owl landed next to him. Keith was in awe as he stared. So cool! He rubbed the owl's feathers. It was so smooth and soft. He was gentle. It seemed the owl liked it as it purred a bit. 

Then do you like this? Keith started to rub the owl another way. He kept doing this until he fell asleep. 

While Keith fell asleep, Sophia stared at the crystal rose. The rose was placed into a magic item, preserving it. It glistened from the light of the moon. 

She couldn't help but smile at it. 

To think her son would find something like this for her. She was elated by this. She realized the smile on her face. It seems I'm going to be doing this for some time. 

She didn't mind as she went to bed happy. 

A few days later, Keith sat on Sophia's lap. He was drinking from his bottle. He was content as he moved his head back and forth. While he did,

"Keith, stop moving around so much." Sophia let out a small chuckle as she stared at Keith. Keith wasn't the only one who was happy. She was the same.

Sophia smiled more than before. 

The maids stared at the two. They looked so similar to one another. With them making the same expression, one could easily tell the two were mother and child.

Finishing the bottle, Sophia burped Keith. Keith was full of energy. 

Sophia noticed the energy and suggested, "Let's try and walk."  It was time for him to practice walking. 

"Abu!" I'm ready! He was the same. Keith really wanted to practice walking.

Sophia placed him on the floor. Keith got ready as he picked his body off the floor. Sophia and the maids clapped their hands as they watched. Getting up was the first. The next step was to walk. 

"Abu!" Keith took two steps before he fell down! Sophia gasped as she held him, 

"Are you alright, Keith?!" 

"Abba!" I'm okay, Mother! Keith raised his hand into the air, signaling that he was good. That caused Sophia to hug him,

"This is great! You have taken two steps today! We can stop here!" Keith raised his hand again! I can go on! Two steps weren't enough. Realizing his thoughts, Sophia shook her head,

"If you hurt yourself, it will be a problem." Keith was still a baby. There was no need to force him to walk too much.  

Keith pouted as he stared at his mother. 

A pout formed on Keith's mouth as he stared. 

Sophia and the maids were shocked by the appearance. It was deadly. Despite this fatal appearance, Sophia shook her head as she patted his head, 

"I don't want my child to get hurt." There was no way she could let that happen.

"Abba!" Keith patted her legs, telling her she didn't need to worry. 

Sophia picked Keith up, "Keith, do you want to look around the mansion?" Before Keith could continue, she shifted his focus to distract him!

That worked. 

"Abba!" Yes! Yes! Yes! Keith wanted to go around the Manor! The estate was humongous! The only place he went to was the garden, and that was it. 

Sophia smiled, "I'll show you around."

The two left the room and roamed around the estate. While they walked around, they caught butlers and maids cleaning the estate. They bowed their heads as they saw the madam and young master. Sophia gave a faint glance while Keith raised his hand, greeting them.

That surprised the butlers and maids. The two continued to walk when, 

"Mother." A cute yet cold voice called out to Sophia. Keith looked down to see a child with his maids behind him. 

The person had the same golden hair and green eyes as Sophia. He looked studious as he held onto a book. 

Keith tilted his head as he stared at him. Sophia asked, "Alvin, are you done with your studies?"

"Mmhmm." Alvin nodded. Once he answered, he noticed the baby in his mother's hand.
