Volume 1 Chapter 15: Spending Time Together

Michael wanted to teach him! A talent like that should be nurtured as soon as possible. 

Sophia stopped that, "There's no way I'm going to let this happen!"

"That kid will become the strongest!" Michael could already imagine it. 

"There's no way my baby is going to be practicing. Let's leave now!" May and the maids nodded to that. Like that, Keith was quickly carried off without a thought! They were no point in staying here. Not unless she wanted Michael to infect him with these ideas! 

But the damage was done. Rumors about Keith being a prodigy were known to everyone in the estate. 

What am I going to do? At night, Keith was lost in thought about what he did today. His move was overkill for a baby. 

"You're still up?" William entered his room again. He scratched his head as he talked, "I heard what you did at the training ground." 

"..." The news has gotten to you, huh? Keith didn't know whether to laugh or cry about this. Not knowing what his son thought, William patted his head, 

"Good job."

William was embarrassed. Keith realized this might be the first time he complimented one of his children. 

"Abbu!" Keith gave a big smile. But William asked, "...I want to see it too."

"..." Wut?

"Can you show me the swing?" William tilted his head as he asked. 

You want me to do that now? It was late at night! But seeing William's expression, that was a yes!

A few days later, Keith and Sophia strolled the garden again. This had become the usual for them. While they were going to the garden, they saw William.

Sophia frowned, "What are you doing here?"

"Ah!" Keith waved his hand. 

William explained, "I have some free time today. I want to spend some time with my son."

Sophia blinked her eyes a few times, "No nee-"

"Can you say that when he looks so excited?" William pointed at Keith, who looked super excited about him coming here. He was moving back and forth in her arms. 

Yay! Father and Mother are together! This was the first time he would see the two together. Sophia sighed in defeat as she allowed William to follow them. The two sat at the table while Keith was free to play around.

While he did, William and Sophia stared at one another without a thought. It was a strange sight indeed. Both didn't say anything. 

Sophia continued to stare at William while the latter paid no mind. He stared at Keith. 

He's weird. That was what Sophia thought. It was only one time William had met with Keith. Yet, he acted like they had known each other for a while. 

"Why have you come?" Sophia questioned. But William continued to have a calm expression as he stated, 

"As I said, I wanted to see my son again."

William was curious about his son, who had become well-known throughout the estate. Yet, that wasn't the only thing. Keith was known by the nobles around the northern region! They wanted to meet with him! And he understood. 

No wonder they wanted to meet him. There were too many rumors about Keith to count. William also added,

"People are asking me to set up his introduction." That was the other thing they kept asking him.

"..." Sophia was silent. William understood her feelings at this moment. The wives who came to greet her also discussed Keith. 

"I wanted to ask if you're alright with setting the introduction on his birthday?" William suggested. Hearing that, Sophia nodded, 

"That would be fine." Killing two birds with one stone. Keith's birthday was close. Nobles would definitely attend it. Setting up his introduction then was perfect. Those nobles would meet him once, and that would be it!

"Mmhmm." William had the same thought as his wife. 

But then he questioned, "Are you sure we shouldn't be doing something about that?" He saw a swarm of birds surrounding Keith.

"It's fine. This is how he plays with them most of the time." She had gotten used to it. But for William, he was amazed.

Keith continued to play without knowing what his parents thought about the sight. He was moving his hands, making the birds follow him. And they followed his every command. He was like a mother duck, and the birds were the ducklings.

But something caused the birds to pause. They quickly hid behind Keith.

Hmm? What's wrong? Keith turned in the direction where the birds stared. His expression turned bright. 

Aria! It was none other than Aria! He hadn't seen Aria for quite some time now. But seeing it come down, Keith dashed over. The owl nestled its head onto Keith's face. 

Did you miss me too? Seeing how affectionate it was, it seemed that was a yes. Keith hugged the owl tighter. 

While he was doing this, Sophia's eyes widened. She looked at William, "How is your familiar so close to Keith?" That owl was a monster that William had contracted with.
