Volume 1 Chapter 14: Genius!

After a few minutes, 

"You two need to stop pouting," Eric commented as he scolded. Derek and Alvin continued to have a dark expression as they sat with the group.

"You can only say that because you're holding onto Keith." "Lucky guy."

Eric shrugged his shoulders as he added, "Stop being sore losers about it. You guys didn't defeat ten knights. Try again in a few years."

The two grunted when they heard that. The outcome was expected. Alvin and Derek couldn't defeat ten knights in a row. They had the buff from Keith. Yet, it was not enough. Alvin could only finish eight, while Derek could only finish seven. 

Despite their dark expressions, what they did was still incredible as they had to fight people who were older than them.

Hah, these two. Eric sighed as he patted the two's heads, "You guys can do it. When I was your age, I couldn't beat five." The two were surprised when they heard that. They didn't expect their older brother to encourage them.

"Until you guys beat them, I will have Keith all to myself!" Eric picked up Keith again and lifted him in the air. 

"..." Alvin and Derek's expression dropped, and a cold stare followed. 

Eric added, "Have fun running laps around the barracks!"

"..." Cold stare turned into a defeated one. The two forgot about the punishment.

Cheer up! You guys can do it! Keith patted their legs. And the message got through to them. The two's expressions softened.  

"Little Brother knows how to cheer us up." "Don't worry, I will beat up 20 when I do this again!" Derek said something outrageous. But Keith continued to smile. 

Michael clapped his hands together, "Break is over, everyone! Now get back to training!"

Eric and the two got up, "We'll talk to you later, Little Brother."

"Ah!" Keith waved as he watched them go back to training. Michael shouted, 

"I want you guys to do 100 downward slashes!"

"Yes, Sir!" They all began to slash downward. While they did, Michael walked up to Sophia's group. 

"Sophia, to think you would come here."

"Is it surprising?" Her words caused Michael to laugh, "Of course it is. You never came to the barracks before." 

"..." Sophia was silent. Because this was true. 

She looked at the knights, "Are you sure you should make them do all of this? You're going to make them pass out."  

"To be strong, pushing them that far is a must." Michael turned his head at Keith, "This is your youngest?"

"Mmhmm." "Ah!" Hello! Keith raised his hand. 

Michael grabbed his hand, "Greetings, Young Master."

"You're not surprised?" Sophia questioned. This was the first person who acted normal in front of Keith's greeting. 

Michael scoffed, "He's only saying hello to me. And besides, his brilliance is known throughout the estate." 

Who didn't know about Keith at this point?

"Also, the kid got a good grip." Michael praised. For someone who didn't train, having a grip like that was surprising. A thought came, "Do you want to practice using a sword?"

His words caused Sophia and May's eyes to narrow. 

"No way, Keith cannot practice yet!" "The young master is too young!" What kind of a fool would give a baby a sword?! That was asking for trouble! 

Michael scoffed, "Of course not! He could try using this." He looked around and picked up a branch on the ground. He handed it to Keith, "Try it."

"There's no need for him to train," Sophia interjected. 

"When did you become like this?" Michael looked at Sophia strangely. She was being so overprotective. 

"You want to make him practice," Sophia emphasized. However, 

"Look at him. It seems your son is raring to go." Keith had the branch in his hand. There was a sparkle in his eye. 

"..."

Michael returned to Keith, "Try swinging your sword down like what they're doing there." He pointed at the knights. 

"Ay!" Alright! Keith tried his best to get up from the ground. He stood still. That caused Sophia and May to be worried. 

But Keith wasn't focused on them as he swung the branch down without hesitation! As he pulled up, he fell on his butt. 

I used too much force. While Keith looked at the sky, everyone stopped what they were doing. Their eyes widened as they stared at him. Sophia was the first one to move. 

"Keith, are you okay?!" Seeing him fall down was a fright. 

"Ey!" Keith bobbled his head. When he did that, Michael walked up to him!

"Genius!"

Ehh?

"Your son is definitely a genius!

"Of course he is!" Sophia said with a hint of proudness.

Michael scoffed,  "Do you understand what he just did?! That kid just made a clean cut!" That was absurd. A child who wasn't a year old was able to learn so quickly!

"Let me train the kid!"
