Chapter 13 - Fulfillment of Desire
Chapter 13: Fulfillment of Desire
The soft rustling behind him made Yang Yi’s heart pound uncontrollably. His powerful blood energy surged, stirring a fire deep within him. When he finally turned around, he felt his mind tremble at the sight before him.
As the cloth bindings came undone, the fabric that had once restrained her slipped away, gently swaying in the still air. Meng Jiangnv’s long, silky hair cascaded down her back, resting against her flawless skin. Though she faced away from him, Yang Yi could vaguely make out the delicate contours of her figure, a vision both alluring and ethereal.
For a moment, he lost himself completely. Taking a deep breath, he snapped himself out of his daze and quickly turned his back once more. If he stared any longer, he feared he might explode on the spot.
Not long after, the sound of water splashing filled the air. Meng Jiangnv, feeling shy, did not call out to him. She simply focused on washing away the dust and grime, enjoying the rare luxury of cleansing herself in this dark and suffocating underground palace. Yang Yi waited patiently. After some time, he turned back, and what he saw took his breath away. Meng Jiangnv was now fully submerged in the water, with only her head above the surface. But it wasn’t just that—her face had been cleansed, revealing a breathtaking beauty that even he hadn’t expected.
She was a true masterpiece, like a lotus rising from clear water, untouched by impurity. No wonder she was a legend in the tales of later generations. He had always known she was beautiful, but after seeing her without dirt covering her features, he realized just how exquisite she truly was. Words like “stunning” or “gorgeous” felt inadequate. Even the most revered beauties in history paled in comparison.

“Y-Young Master…”
Her soft, trembling voice brought him back to reality. Seeing his intense gaze, Meng Jiangnv lowered her head, her hands instinctively covering herself beneath the water. She didn’t dare meet his eyes.
“We agreed, didn’t we?” Yang Yi said, his voice slightly unsteady. “Let me help you. There are places you won’t be able to reach on your own.” He stepped forward, moving behind her.
The moment his hands made contact, both of them drew sharp breaths. Yang Yi fought to maintain control, his entire body burning with suppressed desire. Meanwhile, Meng Jiangnv, who had never experienced such closeness before, felt her body tense at the unfamiliar sensation.
Neither spoke. Time blurred as only the sound of water shifting and quiet gasps filled the dimly lit underground chamber.
……………………………………………………………………………
At some point, the water vat disappeared, replaced by a soft bed conjured from the system storage.
Meng Jiangnv, her body still tingling with lingering sensations, lay curled up beside him, her expression a mix of shyness and contentment. She had never felt anything like this before, and though her body was exhausted, her heart was full.
Yet, beneath her happiness was deep awe.
Her thoughts were in turmoil.
Young Master is like a god. He can create anything out of thin air. Water, food, even a bed… What is he, truly?
She wanted to ask but knew it wasn’t her place. If Yang Yi wanted to tell her, he would. Until then, she would simply accept his mysteries without question.
……………………………………………………………………………
“It doesn’t matter,” Yang Yi reassured her, running his fingers through her damp hair. “You are mine now, regardless of anything else.”
“Even if there’s no proof, you are still my wife.”
He understood what she had been worried about. Her voice was soft as a whisper, tinged with lingering shyness. “Thank you… Husband.” Meng Jiangnv spoke the word naturally, as though she had already accepted the role long before this moment. After all, she had already called him that countless times earlier—though those cries had been much less controlled.
“Eat something and restore your strength.”
Yang Yi retrieved flatbreads and fruit from his system storage, handing them to her. Though he also had meat, it was uncooked, and without firewood, there was no way to prepare it.
Still, the underground palace’s design allowed for long-burning lamps. It stood to reason that lighting a small fire for cooking wouldn’t be a problem. Meng Jiangnv took the food with both hands and ate slowly, savoring every bite.
“Husband… How much food do you have?” she finally asked, curiosity flickering in her eyes. “How long can we survive with it?”
“More than you can imagine,” Yang Yi replied with a confident smile. “Enough to last us a hundred years, if needed. Eat as much as you want.” Her eyes widened slightly, but she didn’t press further.
Yang Yi chuckled. “And I have other things too, but now isn’t the time to reveal them. I’ll show you more once I’ve dealt with the remaining survivors.” Meng Jiangnv’s expression shifted slightly. “Husband… are you planning to take action?”
Yang Yi nodded. “They are all as good as dead. It’s better to end their suffering quickly than let them waste away in agony.”
He then added, “Besides, if we don’t deal with them soon, their exposed corpses will begin to rot, creating deadly toxins that could endanger us.”
Meng Jiangnv listened in silence before speaking softly, “Then… please be careful.” She didn’t suggest sharing the food with the others. She had seen too much of the real world to be naive. Even if they fed the survivors, what then? Would they take care of them for ten years? For a hundred?
She wasn’t a fool. She knew the truth of human nature. Survival came first. Letting too many people live would only expose them to greater dangers.
……………………………………………………………………………
After finishing her meal, Meng Jiangnv leaned into his embrace and drifted into sleep. Yang Yi exhaled slowly, his mind still restless. Her delicate fragrance filled his senses, but he forced himself to remain calm. With his powerful physique and endless stamina, a single encounter wasn’t enough to fully exhaust his energy. However, for her, this was already overwhelming. Now wasn’t the time to indulge further. Carefully, he adjusted her sleeping position, making sure she was comfortable before standing up. Stepping out of the shadows, Yang Yi summoned his war halberd from the system space.
It was time to see just how well he could wield it in reality.
What do you think?
