Chapter 18: Chapter 18 She is a Swindler (1)
"Cancer?" Mia Ginger was stunned on the spot.
"She fainted from not eating for a few days," Louis Cox continued, "When we went to see the doctor, we happened to meet with a gynecologist, who thought I was her son and said she had been to the hospital before."
"I didn’t know." Mia Ginger pursed her lips, her mind a blank.
"At least prepare three hundred thousand first," Louis Cox glanced at her, his expression somewhat softened, "I mean, she should be hospitalized today, but she doesn’t agree. Please try to persuade her."
"..." Mia Ginger lowered her head and said nothing.
"Don’t worry about the money." Louis Cox thought she was troubled, just as he began to speak, Mia Ginger, who had her head down, suddenly raised her face to look at him, "Let’s go home first."
"What?!"
"Go home first, we’ll discuss the treatment later." Mia Ginger’s tone was light.
"You don’t want to treat her?" Louis Cox looked at her, his expression suddenly changed, instinctively adjusting the brim of his hat back, and said strangely, "Why have you become like this?"
Mia Ginger lowered her head and laughed softly, then turned around and headed toward the injection room.
Louis Cox was a bit baffled, and felt a ball of fire stuck in his heart, he gritted his teeth and slapped the railing heavily before going downstairs to smoke.
Mia Ginger didn’t go in, she just stood at the door of the injection room waiting.
More than an hour later, Little Patten helped Camilia Davis, who had finished her IV drip, out.
"You’re here." Camilia Davis was just over forty, about 1.63 meters tall, leaning against Little Patten made her look even thinner, her face lacking any vitality, but seeing her she was visibly happy, cautiously asked.
"Hmm." Mia Ginger responded indifferently and walked out first.
Camilia Davis’s cautious smile froze at the corners of her lips, Little Patten hurriedly comforted, "Sister Mia just had a quarrel with Brother Louis, she’s in a bad mood, in a bad mood..."
Camilia Davis forced a nod and followed them out.
Louis Cox had been waiting downstairs. As he saw the three coming out, his scrutinizing gaze lingered on Mia Ginger for a long time, then he quickly strode forward to hail a cab.
Little Patten helped Camilia Davis up first, Louis Cox holding onto the car door with one hand, watched as Mia Ginger followed them in with a blank face, gritted his teeth, and sat in the front passenger seat himself.
"Eastern Peak Village."
"Eastern Peak Village?" The driver glanced at him sideways, "I’ll only take you to the village entrance."
Eastern Peak Village is the largest and most chaotic urban village in Cloud Capital City, a mix of all kinds of people. Just a few days ago, a family murder occurred, security is extremely poor, and taxi drivers are always on edge going there.
Louis Cox squinted his eyes and sneered, "Just to the village entrance."
The taxi turned a corner and drove into the bustling streets.
Not far away, Lilian Jackson still hadn’t come back to her senses, her eyes fixated on the direction the car had left.
"Lilian?" A female doctor who came back from eating together smiled and called, "What are you looking at?"
"Nothing, let’s go." Lilian Jackson turned her head and smiled, but her mind still replayed the scene of Mia Ginger getting into the car earlier.
The young man with the hat had an extremely handsome profile, but his demeanor was cold and rebellious, creating an inexplicable sense of dangerous distance.
What’s their relationship?
Why did they come to the hospital for no reason?
Mia Ginger looked cold and silent; that man seemed to be about twenty-five or six, and seemed to show some forbearance towards her...
Lilian Jackson, lost in thought, entered the hospital.
In the departing car, the four individuals in the front and back seats remained silent.
The young driver said nothing either, speeding up the car. In less than an hour, he got them to the village gate, took the fare, and left immediately.
It was noon, the bright sunlight was filled with the sound of bustling crowds.
Electric bicycles and pedestrians crowded together, the sounds of laughter and shouts echoed from all around, young men with dyed blond hair in shorts were everywhere, it was the Eastern Peak Village she knew to the bone.
What do you think?
