Chapter 158: Desperate Countesses - 1
After the war between the [Circle of Ouroborous] faction and the [vampires] faction, the entire vampire community fell into disarray for a short while due to the uproar caused by a single human killing one of the vampire countesses with alarming ease.
Once the war ended, and hundreds of vampires, along with one of the five countesses and ten noble vampires, were devoured by the high demon, who was also a ruler of Hell known famously by his awakener’s title as Infinity, the vampires lost a major figure and their influence within Solarta.
The effects of this loss were visible even within the Second Tower Realm.
While all this was unfolding, a question was raised among the noble vampires: who would replace the dead countess as the new fifth countess?
Many noble vampires were eager to claim the title, but something unexpected happened.
The strongest vampire currently in existence, Lillian Brenlith, elder sister of the late Countess Lyara Brenlith, stepped in and reclaimed her title as the fifth countess and the strongest among the five.
She took control of the Brenlith Clan as its new Clan Leader.
As expected, none of the damn noble vampires dared to oppose her, because they knew if they did, they would die on the spot.
The other four countesses were more than happy to welcome her back as the new Countess Brenlith.
Soon after, a discussion took place between the five countesses and the noble vampires of Nightingale regarding a new threat: Damian Ignatius.
None of the vampires, including the five countesses, were foolish enough to let this problem blow over.
They had all witnessed firsthand how powerful this human had become.
Not to mention, he was a ruler of Hell and they were certain he hadn’t even used his full power when he fought the former countess during the faction war.
He was a very powerful and extremely dangerous threat, one they might not be able to stand against.
Even the strongest vampire in existence, Lillian Brenlith, wasn’t sure she could win if a confrontation were to arise...
That left only one option: to make peace with him in a civil manner and stay the hell out of his way.
This decision was made by the new Countess Brenlith, and the other countesses agreed.
However, many noble vampires were against it.
They were too proud to even consider being afraid of a mere human.
Their stupid little brains couldn’t comprehend that this "mere human" could wipe out their entire clans.
In the end, no one was able to go against the rule of the five countesses, and it was decided that the noble vampires would invite the "monster" in question to Nightingale, hoping to appear ’friendly’ and make peace with him in the process.
But they made a fatal flaw in that plan.
Damian wasn’t just any being.
He was a ruler of Hell, the progenitor of the human race...
They couldn’t just summon him to their place on their terms.
That was a blatant act of disrespect, especially when dealing with such a powerful monster.
It only angered him more.
He outright rejected their poor attempt at peace and declared openly that vampires were now his enemies.
This made the noble vampires even more nervous.
Following this, the five countesses decided that the situation could no longer be allowed to escalate.
It was becoming a threat to the very survival of all vampires and obviously, they did not want that to happen.
That’s why they are here now, in the territory of the [Circle of Ouroborous] faction, standing before the very being they have come to make peace with, hoping to prevent a war between him and the vampire species.
The countesses were not ignorant.
They knew what kind of being he was, not just a high human anymore.
He was the progenitor of the humans, a high demon, a fallen angel, and a ruler of Hell...
They didn’t know how all of that was possible, but they knew it was true.
And they had no intention of finding out what other terrifying abilities he might possess.
Damian, the great progenitor of the human race, looked down on the five countesses with an expressionless face as he asked.
"Tell me this" Damian narrowed his eyes at the five countesss of vampires. "Have you come to figth or talk? because if its to fight we can start right away"
"You are the ruler of Hell, the progenitor of the human race... do you really think we would want any kind of conflict with you?" said the countess with the strongest presence and the tallest stature, a female vampire with scarlet-red hair that reached her plump hips, green irises, and a very milfy figure.
She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.
"So peace it is?" Damian simply asked, resting his face on his fist atop the armrest as he crossed his legs.
Damian didn’t ask for their names or anything else and simply went straight to the topic of discussion because from the memories of the vampires he possessed, he already knew all about them and the kind of influence each one held in the world of vampires.
"Yes, that’s all we are after," another countess with jet-black hair said, taking a deep breath.
Damian narrowed his eyes at this black-haired countess.
She had a similarly mature, curvy figure with dark eyes and pale skin, making her incredibly attractive, just as attractive as the scarlet-haired vampire.
She was Countess Amaya Kuroyami, the master of Sir Lucian Holloway.
"Hmm..." Damian thought for a few seconds as he assessed them using his senses, Eyes of Heaven and Earth, the blessings of the concepts of Knowledge and Wisdom.
While this moment lasted only a few seconds for the five countesses and the high humans in the throne hall, it felt like years, all because of the human progenitor...
or more precisely, his beauty.
Damian was naturally a charming man, in fact, he might have been the most naturally beautiful mortal to exist.
And he was also blessed not by one, but two goddesses of beauty.
With all these blessings, he might currently be the most beautiful man in existence, unless someone from a higher plane appeared.
In fact, he was as beautiful as the goddesses of beauty who had blessed him, if not more.
Even though Damian was only releasing a small portion of the effects of the Blessing of Beauty, it was still more than enough to charm these vampires.
If he were to release it completely, every single female in his presence would lose their minds trying to have him for themselves, they would fall head over heels in love with him.
And let’s not forget, he also possessed the Blessing of Love. Twice.
But unlike the weaker high humans, the countesses were very powerful, strong enough to rival lower to higher-tier gods of the lower planes.
This level of charm was nothing to them...
And yet, the countesses still couldn’t believe their eyes.
Just how beautiful was this man?
If he were any weaker than them, he would already be at their mercy, in their bedrooms, being thoroughly enjoyed.
But that was nothing more than a pipe dream.
One of the countesses, with white hair, found her nether region becoming wet just imagining herself under him in the bedroom.
After a few seconds, Damian smiled slightly before saying, "Fine, we are not enemies anymore. I won’t kill any more vampires unless they deserve it... Off you go."
"That’s it?"
The five countesses looked at each other as if they expected something to go down here, but it seemed nothing might happen, and they might not have to die today.
The scarlet-haired vampire, Lillian Brenlith, narrowed her eyes.
She didn’t think this would go this smoothly.
In fact, all it took was a few sentences, and the conflict between this monster and the entire vampire race was gone just like that...
"We will be off then..." the brown-haired vampire with a young but strong presence, Countess Kathryne Dracula, said before turning around and heading to the door.
But just as they reached the door, Lillian Brenlith, the strongest countess, stopped in her tracks as a grin formed on Damian’s face because he knew why they were here.
Well, he knew why Lillian Brenlith was here, which was not about making peace, but little did she expect Damian to show little to no interest in them, making Lillian Brenlith think that Damian wouldn’t even accept any kind of proposition she might have.
Damian knew exactly what she wanted from him.
It’s not that hard to deduce.
It was probably related to the problem of extinction they were facing.
Since Damian had become a human progenitor and had already started to create high humans, he had factually prevented the extinction of the high human race.
She probably thought Damian might have some sort of solution to saving them as well.
Damian actually thought about this, along with the help of all the information he had from the memories of the beings he devoured and the blessing of knowledge and wisdom.
But he didn’t really think he possessed any solution to this...
It’s just that the universe willed him to evolve into a human progenitor.
Unless the universe willed another vampire to evolve into a vampire progenitor...
There was nothing he could do in this regard.
But at the same time, his blessing of Wisdom told him that he shouldn’t conclude everything based on only the things he had at hand.
He had to learn about everything related to whatever Lillian Brenlith came up with...
Who knew?
Some kind of magic might occur...
But Damian couldn’t just show his interest in the vampires.
That would make it seem like Damian was asking the vampires for something.
It should be the other way around.
The vampires should be begging for his help.
He wouldn’t just offer his help; it had to be earned, and not at a small price either.
That’s why he was acting like he wasn’t interested in them.
Damian watched as Lillian turned around with an intense expression. "Can we talk?"
What do you think?
