The substitute priest opened his eyes and spoke. He looked around and then saw the priests lying around him, his eyes widening in shock.

"How did this happen...?"

Tiel said. The substitute priest nodded his head as he rested in Tiel's arms.

With a strained voice, he asked,

"What about the other priests? What about them...?"

Tiel spoke while watching the continued attacks outside. Rowen's power was still colliding with the flame barrier that Ferdie had raised.

Could Karsus and Alpheus not stop it either? Or had they only managed to stop it to this extent?
