Chapter 216 – Diary
Gao Yang and Luo Ni both walked towards the bookshelf, looking at the leather-covered notebook in Tin's hand.
"Is this a diary?" Gao Yang asked.
"Yes." Tin inquired, "Captain, can I take Xi Ran's diary?"
Gao Yang was unsure. Would reading a diary be disrespectful to the privacy of the deceased?
"This isn't Xi Ran's diary," Luo Ni said.
A quick look at " will leave you more fulfilled.
"Are you sure?" Gao Yang was surprised.
Luo Ni nodded, took the diary, and flipped through a couple of pages. "This handwriting clearly isn't Xi Ran's."
Suddenly, Luo Ni paused, then continued flipping through a couple more pages, speaking with certainty, "This is the Captain's diary."
"Captain?" Tin was a bit confused and looked at Gao Yang. "Why is your diary at Xi Ran's house?"
Gao Yang looked innocent: How would I know?
Wait, I don't even keep a diary.
"It's not Seven Shadows' Captain," Luo Ni explained, "It's the former Captain."
"Oh." Tin understood at first but then became even more puzzled. "But why would the former Captain's diary be at Xi Ran's house?"
"What are you guys talking about?" Gray Bear and Mamba walked into the room.
Luo Ni handed the diary to Gray Bear, who flipped through a couple of pages and was quite shocked. "Isn't this Captain San Kong's diary?"
Mamba also took the diary and glanced at it. "It is Captain San Kong's."
What do you think?
