TECH TYCOON SYSTEM

Chapter 2: Capital Investment

Next Morning – 6:00 AM

steve woke before the sun. Not out of habit, but strategy.

Mumbai mornings were chaos—but chaos bred opportunity.

He slipped on his worn jeans, a plain black T-shirt, and stepped out into the humid air. The street below his building was already stirring—vendors setting up, chai stalls lighting their burners, rickshaws honking like angry geese.

He needed ₹450. Fast.

Legally or not didn’t matter.

7:30 AM – Local Train to Dadar

He squeezed into the sardine tin of a train, standing pressed between a snoring old man and a group of college kids laughing about memes.

Steve's mind was elsewhere.

He had 237 rupees, no favors to call in, and no time to waste.

He pulled out his phone and tapped open the system interface.

System Tip: Item Resale Not Yet Unlocked Unlocks after first purchase and successful sale. Suggestion: Complete optional quest: [Seed Capital] Objective: Earn ₹450 within 24 hours through any method. Reward: Resale Function + Reputation System Activation.

Steve smirked.

“A quest system, huh? Just like a game… except the world’s real, and I don’t get a restart.”

He looked out the train window, eyes scanning the neighborhoods flashing by.

Then it hit him.

8:15 AM – Dadar Market

The second-hand electronics market in Dadar was a chaos of noise, rust, and deals whispered under breath. It was where scammers learned their trade and amateurs got robbed.

Steve fit somewhere in between—he had no money, but a razor mind.

He found what he was looking for: a broken iPhone 11, cracked screen, water damage, seller asking ₹200.

“₹150,” Steve said, voice flat.

“Bhai, ₹200 is already loss,” the seller protested.

Steve tapped his phone screen and showed a listing on OLX: similar damaged phones selling for ₹2,000+. “You’re selling garbage. I’ll sell a story.”

The seller hesitated.

“₹170. Final.”

Steve handed over the cash.

10:45 AM – College Hostel Room

With tools borrowed from a hostel roommate and a YouTube video on bypassing water damage detection, Steve cleaned the phone, dried the internals, and made it boot.

Barely.

Good enough.

He posted it online with photos: “Slightly damaged iPhone 11 – Minor Screen Issue – Urgent Sale – ₹2,000”

Within hours, his phone buzzed.

Buyer confirmed.

Cash on delivery.

4:00 PM – Local Café Pickup

Steve handed over the phone, took the ₹2,000, and walked away without a word. He didn’t smile. Didn’t gloat.

Just checked his system screen.

[Quest Complete: Seed Capital] Funds Gained: ₹1,830 Reward: Resale Function Unlocked Reputation System: Activated Future Commerce Dashboard: Online

The screen shimmered as new tabs opened—Buy, Sell, Inventory, Market Trends, World News Feed.

Steve looked up at the sky, the smog hiding the sun.

In a city built on struggle, he had found the one thing everyone else lacked.

Leverage.

That night, back in his room…

He sat cross-legged, system screen open.

Purchase: Nanobot Medical Kit – ₹450 Confirm? [Y/N]

He tapped Y.

The screen glowed.

Then—a soft metallic thud.

A sleek black case materialized on his floor, humming faintly.

Steve stared for a moment. Not shocked. Just… amused.

  1. “Let’s see what the future feels like.”
