Chapter 401. The Devil’s Playground
Seven Sins System Chapter 401. The Devil's Playground
He gasped, his eyes widening in shock. But before he could make a move, I snapped my fingers with a flick of my wrist. Suddenly, a tiny flea-shaped tentacle wriggled on the head of one of the goons stationed outside the curtain.
In an instant, the tentacle erupted into a monstrous black slime, its surface covered in myriad eyes that glowed a menacing red. It oozed into the room, expanding rapidly until it was at least a third the size of the chamber.
The goons and the red demons recoiled in horror, their gasps drowned out. The slime hovered, its red eyes flashing with a warning.
With a low, guttural growl, the slime unleashed its fury, spewing forth a torrent of acidic liquid. The acid sprayed like a fountain, but instead of targeting the beings in the room, its aim was precise. Each droplet homed in on the intricate magic formations etched into the walls and floor.
The acid sizzled on contact, eating away at the runes and sigils. Small smoke billowed from the scorched surfaces as the magic formations crumbled.
Before they could recover from their shock, the slime wasted no time in launching itself at them with lightning speed. It surged forward, engulfing the goons and red demons.
With a sickening thud, the slime slammed its gelatinous body onto them, trapping their struggling forms within its viscous mass. Their bodies got completely wrapped up in the dark, sticky goo, leaving just their noses sticking out.
The goons and demons thrashed around, their muffled cries echoing as they attempted to break free from their slimy prison. But the more they struggled, the tighter the grip became. Panic flashed in their eyes.
I watched with satisfaction as they squirmed helplessly. They had underestimated me, and now they would pay the price for their arrogance.
The great leader raised his hand. I tensed. But before he could unleash his skill or magic, my tentacles sprang into action, bursting forth from behind my back.
One of the tentacles lunged forward with lightning speed. Its gaping maw opened wide, razor-sharp teeth gleaming as it clamped down on the great leader's outstretched arm.
A startled cry escaped the leader's mouth as pain shot through him. His hand faltered.
Meanwhile, the other two tentacles wasted no time in seizing the opportunity. Like sinuous serpents, they coiled around the leader's body with startling efficiency, binding him.
The leader struggled against the vice-like grip of my tentacles, his movements growing more frantic. Sweat beaded on his brow as he fought to break free, but the tendrils held firm.
With a triumphant hiss, my tentacles tightened their hold.
His scream pierced the air. I watched with a mixture of satisfaction and amusement as he writhed in pain.
With a fluid motion, I lifted my body and sat up like a dead man raised from his grave. Then I activated my true form.
Horns sprouted from above my brow, twisting upward like twisted tendrils of obsidian. Six bat-like wings unfurled from my back. And two tails, slender and sinuous, coiled behind me like the stems of rose plants.
A cruel mockery smile tugged at the corners of my lips. "You shouldn't play with the devil, mortal," I taunted, my voice dripping with malice. Yeah, I echoed his own words back at him.
His eyes widened in recognition. But it was too late for him to repent, too late to beg for mercy. In the presence of true darkness, there is no redemption, only oblivion. And as he stared into the abyss of my gaze, he knew that his fate was sealed.
"Blood Curse," I spat, venom lacing my words. My grudge burned hot within me. “Stone.”
A dark aura descended upon him like a shroud, wrapping around his form with a chilling embrace.
[You have cast Blood Curse on a kraken!]
A triumphant smirk twisted my lips. The dark aura coalesced around his lower half, tendrils of shadow snaking around his legs and tentacles.
With a gasp of horror, the kraken thrashed against the invisible bonds, but it was futile. The curse had taken hold, turning his once-flexible appendages into frozen, lifeless stone.
