Chapter 381 [Wedding By Blood] [33]
"AHH!!"
Coretta screamed from the top of her lungs as she brought her exoskeleton hand down that held Jones.
The speed of her hand broke the sound barrier.
BOOOM!!!
The ground shook as she slammed Jones, a spiderweb spread for half a mile.
The dust and debris slowly started to settle down while Mariam and Orelena walked beside Coretta's massive exoskeleton.
Coretta's chest heaved as the aftershock of the slam rippled out.
Dust swirled in the air, thick and choking.
For a moment—silence.
Then—
A low, wet chuckle echoed from the crater.
From the shattered earth, something shifted.
Jones' voice, rough and amused, rose through the smoke.
"…That wasn't so nice, blind bitch."
The dust fully cleared—and there he stood.
A little bloodied but healing at an alarming speed.
The ground beneath him was cracked like glass, but his body… it was healing.
Orelena's eyes hardened. "He's regenerating faster than last time."
"Oh, Mother." Jones said, running his hand to fix his hair. "I learned a lot of new things after moving out."
Mariam frowned, raising her hand. "Is he not even taking this seriously?"
Hundreds of sharp, blade-like branches emerged from behind her as she readied herself.
Only Orelena hesitated.
In the end, that man was her son, and she wasn't confident in hurting him.
"Ah, how have you been, Lady Mariam?"
Jones finally took notice of the elf.
"How is Ragnar doing? Haven't seen him after our last battle."
Mariam's face twisted with rage.
Her life was thoroughly destroyed after that one battle.
The battle of Red Crown.
And....
As she looked, the crown slowly started to emerge on his head.
Her rage only spiked.
"Let's start the game."
Jones said, spreading his arms wider.
"Let's see how long you can last."
Mariam was the first to move.
Her body blurred, reaching him in an instant.
Jones smiled and took a step back.
Mariam's branches hit the ground where he stood before.
Tapping on the ground, Jones flew into the sky.
What do you think?
