Chapter 26 - 025 The Magical Greenification Coin
Chapter 26: 025 The Magical Greenification Coin
A scroll slowly unfolds, playing a scene of the blood-soaked apocalypse. The male protagonist, born into a prestigious family, is framed and injected with a mysterious substance, transforming him into a half-zombie. He can heal from injuries rapidly, and his blood can bring the dead back to life. Scientists from the supreme agency send people to capture him for research. The male protagonist refuses to become a lab rat. He has his own consciousness, blending in with the zombies—when he commands them to go east, they dare not go west. Gradually, he develops emotional bonds with the zombies. He dreams of building his own apocalypse kingdom. Sometimes, humans who scheme and plot are even less pure and clean than the zombies. Of course, as half-zombie with a human body, the male protagonist has desires; he forcefully takes the female protagonist, and she becomes pregnant. Her pregnancy is her golden finger, as wherever she goes, she attracts hordes of zombies who bow to her and swear fealty. Thus, the half-zombie and a human end up having seven little treasures, each with exceptional abilities. Can they end the apocalypse and create a new world? Is this an apocalypse-themed story with strong-arm tactics, or is it about the ultimate zombie boss?
Tian Sangsang grew increasingly engrossed as she read. She recalled that she used to be a part-time writer and had some understanding of web novel trends. She had read some apocalypse-themed novels before, but none had quite satisfied her. Mainly because she had watched too many post-apocalyptic films from the United States—those were truly full of passion and heroics. So, when she saw apocalypse-themed web novels, she was utterly confused. Wasn’t this a Xianxia tale? Or a mythological story? In the apocalypse, people miraculously awaken superpowers, gain crystal cores, and master elements like wind, fire, lightning, and water! After bingeing several novels, they all followed this pattern—as if having superpowers was mandatory in the apocalypse, and they all leaned heavily towards Hua Country-style superpowers.
So, the apocalypse isn’t about testing human nature or thrilling speed and passion, but rather a display of retro Hua aesthetics!
Perhaps this difference is due to variations in national circumstances. After all, if the apocalypse were to arrive, the battle prowess of our Hua Country citizens—it’s a miracle if they survive at all! Without relying on superpowers, what else can they count on?! Tian Sangsang felt, looking at history, heroes were often buried in the tides of time due to all kinds of reasons. Seizing the land and governing it are two entirely different things; courage and wisdom are vital, but above all, you need political awareness.
The novel flashes past, and suddenly—Tian Sangsang calls to pause.
In the scene, it truly was her! A chubby girl dressed in black, everything from crossing over into another world to yesterday’s and today’s events was playing out one by one. And the title of the novel was "The Rise of the Cannon Fodder Military Wife."
Tian Sangsang froze. Wasn’t she supposed to have transmigrated into the male protagonist’s narrative of *Rebirth of Business Genius*? Why was it titled *The Rise of the Cannon Fodder Military Wife*? Worse still, when she tried to keep watching, several large characters appeared in the air: "This work is currently serialized. For more of the story, see the next episode!"
At this point, Tian Sangsang had pretty much figured out what was going on. The title conveyed the meaning unmistakably—a salted fish turning over. But the question was, she was just an ordinary village girl—how did she become a military wife? Was the author implying that she would marry a soldier in the future? But military guys weren’t exactly Tian Sangsang’s cup of tea. Although she had been a leftover woman and never married, she knew that finding a match in the mundane world wasn’t easy. To put it plainly: when you marry someone, you’re not just marrying them but their entire family as well. You might think you’re marrying for love, but inevitably, what remains is a kind of complex, indescribable emotion.
Dreams are still worth having—what if they come true someday? In her youth, she liked the rebellious boys, the ones who defied heaven and earth, believing they were heroes. Later, her standards in choosing a partner mellowed: the man must be gentle—not outwardly gentle, but someone whose warmth radiates from within, making others feel comfortable. He should be filial, value family. That’s all there is to it—simple and heartfelt.
Following the earlier summary, the green currency earned through farming can be used to purchase anything within the Plane Time system. Once the green currency reaches its maximum limit and the space upgrades, you can freely access modern space resources (though not all planes). This allows the unlocking of modern space functions without charges; there may even be an opportunity to travel through time and space.
Basically, if you want to gain benefits, you have to work for it. If you don’t want to work, then this space is just there for show. But who wouldn’t want it? Of course people want it! Tian Sangsang was instantly filled with motivation. Laboring can help with weight loss and earn green currency—it’s killing two birds with one stone!
As the saying goes, life is about movement, and labor creates wealth. Tian Sangsang could almost see herself in the future: her hair flowing long, her body trimmed of all that fat.
Tian Sangsang walked into the courtyard house and discovered it had a basement, hallways, a kitchen pantry, bathroom, balcony, and on the second floor, bedrooms and a study room. The study was simple and elegant—an entire row of bookshelves filled with books. Apart from that, there was only a desk with the Four Treasures of the Study placed atop it. Beside it lay a scroll painting and a booklet. The booklet recorded the deeds of the space’s previous owners; the scroll painting was exquisitely detailed, with red tassels hanging from its edges. Slowly unfolding, an ethereal fairy emerged from the painting, smiling softly and glancing back and forth...
Upon seeing the inscription on the scroll painting, Tian Sangsang immediately clasped her hands together devoutly and murmured, "Thank you, fairy."
Seated in the chair, Tian Sangsang flipped through the *Space User Manual* and drew several conclusions.
One must not use the space for any illegal or immoral activities, nor for anything harmful to society or detrimental to Earth. Any such actions will result in immediate expulsion from the space registry.
Time within the space is frozen relative to the outside world, meaning no matter how long one stays inside, external time remains unchanged.
The space can be entered via consciousness or physical presence; however, entering via consciousness will leave the physical body in a deep sleep state.
No outsiders may enter the space.
Upgraded spaces may permit outsiders to enter.
Items within the space can be brought back into the real world.
The soil in the space has transformative and beautifying properties. Anything grown there matures quickly and blooms readily.
The space maintains perpetual freshness. For example, a loquat tree will keep its fruit fresh until picked, and the moment one loquat is plucked, another instantly grows to replace it. Similarly, items stored in the warehouse retain their freshness indefinitely.
The rules for upgrading the space are as follows:
The land within the space can expand indefinitely. Different sections are partitioned into areas like Fruit Field, Vegetable Field, Flower Field, Tree Field, Medicine Field, Grain Field, and Others. Each type must contain at least 200 different species. Likewise, the water bodies must host various aquatic lifeforms, seafood, water plants, and animals totaling at least 200 species. The space emphasizes land planning and water resource management while leaving decisions about green mountains, whether to rear monkeys on them, flying birds, other livestock, or building farms to the owner’s preferences. These conditions are just the basics—meeting them will enable the space to upgrade, which then transforms dramatically.
However, satisfying the requirement to identify and gather 200 species per category is already a daunting task. Tian Sangsang decided to get a notebook later to jot down every fruit, vegetable, and plant she recognized or didn’t recognize. Ideally, she’d save enough green currency to buy a computer and look them up online. Oh right, does the space have internet?
What do you think?
