Chapter 27 How Fierce is Hong Xing? It’s Lo Brother Who’s Fierce!

It was 6 PM, and the streetlights, which should have lit up, were unresponsive. The people living in Kowloon had either gone to stay with friends or relatives for the night or returned home early. The major streets in Kowloon were patrolled by police officers. They politely and kindly turned away the civilians but ignored the gang members.

The Yian Gang had gathered over a thousand sharp fighters by this time, and smaller affiliated gangs also joined them. The Digital Gang and the Stronghold people immediately got wind of the news and began to retreat. They gathered all their manpower in the Stronghold.

“Blue Steel said that the higher-ups only give Lei Luo one night,” one of the leaders said. “If we survive tonight, we’ll be the strongest gang on Hong Kong Island!”

Sang Gou sat in a chair, speaking fiercely to everyone. As one of the largest gangs on the island, they still had a few thousand members. But despite his rallying words, the people underneath him weren’t all in agreement. Tonight, they would face all the gangs on Hong Kong Island.

No one had imagined that Lei Luo would be so capable, to unite all the gangs against them. Blue Steel had never even dared to think of such a thing.

At this moment, they recalled Lei Luo’s title of the “Underground Emperor.”

Some were eager for a fierce battle to establish their prestige, while others, more cautious, wanted to maintain their strength for the fight. Sang Gou knew this, but he couldn’t do anything about it.

Li Tai’s death had been too sudden. He was supported by Blue Steel and had been constantly embroiled in conflicts since he took the throne, never having time to solidify his base.

On the other side, Chen Zhai’s Ah Yao had a gloomy expression. Before this, the Stronghold and the Digital Gang had united and seized many territories. He had thought it was the beginning of his glorious reign, but now disaster had struck.

However, at least tonight they were guarding the Stronghold. This was their home turf, and it should be no problem to hold it for one night. As the time silently passed, it was now 8 PM. Kowloon’s streets had fallen into darkness.

From afar, the Kowloon Stronghold lit up like a giant beast in the night. Meanwhile, outside the areas where the light didn’t shine, groups of people appeared with weapons—machetes, welded steel pipes, and spiked clubs.

Countless people surrounded the Stronghold from all sides. This was the first time in Hong Kong’s history that all the gangs united to take action. The members, standing shoulder to shoulder, suddenly felt excited, their spirits rising. A sense of boldness filled their hearts.

“Damn it! Brothers, charge!!!” Someone shouted in the dark.

The once silent Stronghold came to life as figures rushed out from every entrance. Molotov cocktails were thrown, bursting in fiery sparks on the ground. The battle immediately entered full intensity!

At this moment, a group of people, incredibly fierce, broke through the crowd. The senior gang leaders, who were commanding from the back, narrowed their eyes. By the light of the flames, they saw who it was—Hong Xing!

Liu Chen, holding a reinforced wolf’s tooth club, led his men to smash through a roadblock like a giant hammer. Once the blockade was broken, they charged in like tigers among sheep, unstoppable!

“Impressive, these guys are well-trained, they have the skills!” One of the leaders remarked.

Hong Xing, leading the charge, triggered the other gang members to follow suit. For the leaders, profits were the top priority. But for the red sticks, their reputation was what mattered most!

Liu Chen hacked down the Digital Gang members who tried to block him, his momentum ferocious, causing others to flee in panic. He didn’t chase them, but instead checked the map and the actual environment in his mind, leading his team into an alley.

As Lei Luo’s trusted subordinate, Liu Chen and his group had only one goal tonight—decapitation. With their military training, they showed far superior tactical ability compared to the average gangsters. By the time the other red sticks entered the area, Liu Chen and his team had already disappeared without a trace.

The great battle at Kowloon Stronghold had begun. Meanwhile, outside Kowloon, Hong Kong Island remained calm as usual. In the Central district of the main area, an upscale club was hosting a gathering of Hong Kong’s elite.

James and the island’s power brokers were in the middle of their conversation when someone hurriedly walked over to whisper in James’s ear.

James smiled, stood up, and spoke to the others, “Ladies and gentlemen, tonight, I would like to introduce a friend.”

At his words, the room turned their attention to him.

“James, who is it?” A woman in a white long dress asked, smiling.

She was stunningly beautiful, with mixed heritage, resembling a rose. The jewelry she wore shimmered in the light, and it was clear that it was valuable.

Her voice made everyone else lower theirs in response. James smiled warmly at her.

“My dear Shirley, tonight’s gathering is all because of him,” James replied, causing everyone to become even more curious.

Shirley, too, looked at James with anticipation.

The door opened just then, and a tall, commanding figure stepped into the room. It was none other than Lei Luo!

Having undergone two rounds of physical enhancements, Lei Luo’s appearance had changed, becoming even more heroic. As he entered, those in the room couldn’t help but mentally praise his presence.

James laughed heartily and walked up to Lei Luo, putting his arm around his shoulder.

“The famous Chief Investigator, Lei Luo. I’m sure everyone is familiar with him by now.”

“Come, Alo, let me introduce you to everyone,” James said enthusiastically.

James began introducing Lei Luo to the people present—sons of wealthy businessmen, self-made magnates, and members of the Hong Kong government’s leadership.

Throughout this, Shirley kept smiling as she watched Lei Luo. When James finally brought Lei Luo before her, she stood up and extended her hand.

“Chief Investigator Lei, nice to meet you. I’m Shirley.”

“Haha, Alo, Shirley’s family is one of the leading business families, the Big Merchants of the White-Headed Eagle. She’s their precious daughter,” James added.

Lei Luo smiled as he shook Shirley’s hand, neither too firm nor too light, showing just the right balance that made Shirley feel positively inclined towards him.

She had heard many things about Lei Luo, but the rumors had been less than flattering. However, upon meeting him tonight, Lei Luo felt entirely different. Just then, a mocking voice interrupted the conversation.

“Lei Luo, aren’t you supposed to be at Kowloon tonight? What are you doing here?”

The voice came from a young man, arrogantly leaning back with his feet propped up on the coffee table, exuding an air of condescension. At the sound of the voice, everyone’s expressions immediately became subtle.

Lei Luo turned his gaze toward the direction of the voice, and his eyes locked on the young man, whose expression became dangerous.
