Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 487: Kill With A Single Strike

The fifth level was like a domain of suffocating sword intent.

Kent felt the very air cutting him like a blade. His body was pressed down as if heaven were falling on him.

'This is powerful,' he said to himself as he used his senses to figure out the level of sword intent and qi currently filling the air.

"Level 5 Profound Qi." He muttered

Kent immediately knew there was no way he could match that with his Level 9 Enhance Sword Qi. He was only a step away from entering the Profound Qi stage, but knew he stood no chance.

"I should have practiced more and unlocked another memory from Jest before coming." He sighed as he gazed at the clone version flying down from the air.

This one was purple and wielding two swords.

The previous four wielded only one sword, but this man wielded two, and the sword qi swirling around them was enough to tell him he was out of his league.

However, Kent wasn't there with the hope of defeating the clone. His plan was rather simple; he came to test a skill he was envisioning.

His fascination with this skill started when he first witnessed Jest's memories.

Jest once participated in a sword duel, witnessing a duel between a certain young man who seemed to know only one sword skill.

Swing.

That was the name of the skill this young man created, and from what Kent saw, this young man even became second in the competition after he failed to defeat Jest.

It was a single move: he swung his sword and created a single sword arc from his sword qi and intent.

It was that simple, yet Kent could tell it went deeper than one could envision, and thus, he became fascinated by it.

The second was inside the sword gaze enlightenment. The Lunar Eclipse Slash skill he had mastered was also similar in that regard.

A single crescent arc flashed out from the eye and cleaved through any obstacle. That was more than a person could ask for, and Kent wanted to be able to do the same.

The third was the second form of the Annihilation Sword technique, Void Cleave. This skill was similar to the first two, but Kent saw some potential that the current Void Cleave doesn't have.

While the Void Cleave utilized the Void and distance, Kent wanted a skill that could be regulated by the user regardless of distance or condition.

So he wanted to see if he could do something similar.

Naturally, as someone who practiced the sword mind, he had been working inside his mind for the past weeks, hoping to make a breakthrough, but there was only failure at every turn.

However, that changed when he experienced the River of Hell Realm. The first two tiers were of no use; it was the third that caught his attention.

When the scythe cleaved through the River, something snapped in his mind that made him make a breakthrough in his quest to create a sword move.

He knew there were thousands of similar sword moves out there, but his own was something he planned to take a different route with. This meant he wouldn't be using the same trend as everyone.

So when he made the breakthrough, his urge to try it rose, and right now, standing 10 meters away from a being whose single movement could be the end of him, Kent couldn't help but smile.

His sword appeared in his hand, causing his energy to rise to its peak in an instant.

Then he raised the sword and trailed his index finger across it, making it shine under his touch.

"Just one strike will do," he muttered as his energy poured into the sword. Then he moved and executed a single powerful swing that caused a 3-meter-wide sword arc to flash out from his swing.

The white sword arc moved through the air, closing in on the clone in an instant. The strike was vertical, so the arc was also moving vertically.

In response to Kent's attack, the clone crossed its swords in defense, hoping to block it.

However, just when the arc touched the swords, the two blades disintegrated like paper put into a fire. They disintegrated, and the sword arc cut through the clone before it could even move or split its body.

Thud.

Kent's sword fell from his hands and landed on the ground right as his body also collapsed.

He passed out before he could even see what really happened.

The moment the arc left his sword, his mind gave out, and he lost consciousness. It was just that he fell a little too late, so it appeared he saw everything.

But the truth was, before the sword arc even left his sword, he had already lost consciousness. It was that serious.

Standing on the sword bridge inside the fourth level, Gaia, Dori, and Akira had their mouths wide open and their eyes housing their shocked expressions.

⟪That did not just happen. You all saw that right⟫ Akira said, watching her sisters.

⟪I saw what you also saw, Akira. We both saw the master use a sword move that contains a trace of the sword realm manifestation,⟫ Dori answered.

⟪That shouldn't be possible, right? He hasn't even reached the stage to start comprehending one. So why was he able to use it?⟫ Gaia asked, watching Kent's unconscious body.

⟪There are many variables in this, but the likely one is that he gained the insight from the soul realm, and while he doesn't know it, his understanding of what he saw went deeper.

His sword remembers and was able to bring out a trace of what he captured. It might even be that he doesn't understand what happened.

Master cultivates the sword mind, and as such, we both know what that means.

It means his mind and sword are the same. So whatever he envisions, he can translate with his sword.

So, while his body, rank, and understanding may not have allowed him to harness the sword realm, his mind was able to speak to his sword.

However, this is bad. His body cannot harness the power of a realm, meaning whenever he uses it, his own body will pay the price.⟫

Dori had many theories, but so far, this was the only one she found plausible and likely to align with what Kent had just achieved.

⟪Then what should we do?⟫ Gaia asked.

⟪Nothing. We wait for the master to wake up.⟫
