Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 476: Destination

The Western Ocean was the second-largest ocean on the planet, covering twenty percent of the entire surface, with an average depth of 8,000 meters and a maximum depth of 30,000 meters.

It was also the place where the Sea God Kyogre first appeared in public view.

Countless Water-type Pokémon lived throughout the Western Ocean, and many island nations relied on it for survival. Of course, most of the islands were uninhabited.

The recently discovered Top-tier secret realm was located on one of those uninhabited islands in the Western Ocean, and this island was only about the size of a small town.

Because there had been no human interference, the island had a large number of Aipom, which was closely related to the abundance of banana trees on the island.

With plenty of food and no natural predators, what else could they do after being well-fed Naturally, they just kept producing offspring.

But now, their peaceful life was disrupted due to the appearance of a Top-tier secret realm.

Just today, many humans brought Pokémon they had never seen before.

Of course, the Aipom didn’t agree to let these strangers into their territory.

Then they were taught a lesson and had to slink away from the area now occupied by the humans.

Julian and the other four arrived at the island under John’s lead.

By the time they arrived, many nations had already gathered.

With John's arrival and the earlier arrival of Celestria, both superpowers had now shown up.

Countries friendly with Drakoria immediately surrounded John upon his arrival.

Now, with representatives from dozens of nations on-site, they were naturally split into three major camps.

One was those friendly with Drakoria, another aligned with Celestria, and the third was the neutral faction.

The neutral faction had the largest number of countries.

Some of the neutral countries actually wanted to side with Drakoria or Celestria, but since they had nothing substantial to offer, neither nation was willing to include them.

After all, nations weren’t charities. If you had nothing good to bring to the table, why should they go out of their way to support you?

Besides Drakoria and Celestria being major powers, there were three more powerful nations.

They were Gallia, Volkaria, and Anglia.

Gallia and Anglia were close allies with Celestria, while Volkaria was a neighboring country to Drakoria, and their relations were quite good.

In contrast, Volkaria had extremely poor relations with Celestria.

Two of Volkaria’s Champions had been killed by Celestria, which was precisely why Volkaria never became the third superpower.

To be recognized as a superpower, beyond having advanced technology and a sufficient number of Elite trainers, the most important criterion was having no fewer than four Champions in the country.

Currently, Celestria had five Champions, while Drakoria had six. In this respect, Drakoria had an advantage.

As for Gallia and Anglia they both had two Champions each, while Volkaria had three.

If Volkaria hadn’t lost those two Champions, their Champion count would’ve matched that of Celestria.

So how could Volkaria not hate Celestria? Their path to becoming a superpower had been cut short by them.

And if it wasn’t for Drakoria secretly intervening, it might not have been just two Champions who died.

Aside from these five major powers, other countries like Wyvernia, Aryavarta, Babath, Pannar, and Australis had only one Champion each.

Of course, many countries had no Champions at all—Pseudo-Champions were the strongest they had.

And in some countries, due to systemic shortcomings, powerful trainers could even overthrow national leaders and rule over the country with impunity.

“Mr. Walker.”

The leader of Celestria's delegation was also a Champion. At this moment, he walked over with five young men behind him, and next to him was the Poison-type Champion of Babath.

However, that Poison-type Champion looked a little evasive when meeting John’s gaze.

“Murano, you’ve got guts, but don’t let me catch you slipping,” John said coldly.

Trying to assassinate his grandson—this wasn’t over.

If it wasn't for the wrong occasion, John would’ve already killed Murano on the spot.

He was a Steel-type specialist, and Murano's Poison was nothing to him.

Babath's Champion didn’t say a word, but the aura he emitted was filled with anxiety. Though his expression was calm, inside he clearly wasn’t.

He stayed silent, but Celestria's Champion, Colin, spoke up: “Mr. walker, perhaps there’s some kind of misunderstanding.”

John turned to look at Colin. His oppressive gaze didn’t cause Colin to flinch, but the five young men behind Colin instinctively took a few steps back.

“Don’t think I don’t know this bas***d dared to act because of your orders.”

Since both Babath and Wyvernia were near Drakoria they were basically supported by Celestria to keep Drakoria in check. The fact that Champions had emerged from those countries had a lot to do with Celestria’ influence.

Colin smiled: “Mr. Walker, this must be your grandson, right? What a remarkable young man.”

He smoothly changed the subject.

John didn’t press the issue either. After all, the other party wouldn’t admit anything anyway, and as long as 'he' knew the truth, that was enough. Just don’t let him get the chance—otherwise, he’d take them out one by one.

“Hmph, of course my dear grandson looks as handsome as I did when I was young.”

Julian: 'Grandpa, you were not as handsome as me when you were young—I’ve seen the photos.'

“Truly a hero among youth. Mr. Walker, with a grandson like this, your legacy is surely in good hands.”

Julian’s name was well-known—not just in Drakoria, but even within the higher circles of Celestria.

Ordinary people didn’t know the name Julian.

But the upper ranks of Celestria knew Julian, because his talent had caught their attention.

In fact, it wasn’t just Julian—geniuses from Drakoria and other countries were all known to Celestria.

And the reverse was true as well for Drakoria.

'Know yourself and know your enemy, and you’ll win every battle.'

If your country could produce a genius trainer, then so could other countries—especially hostile ones.

When a genius trainer emerged, you had to pay extra attention.

And if the chance arose—then secretly take them out.

Rowan, Asher, Ember, and Pierce were all highly gifted, but not well known. Why was that? Mainly because their families wanted to protect their safety.

Domestically, no one would dare touch them, but abroad—well, that was a different story.

These four had long been on Celestria' watchlist. As for why Julian was the first target—

The main reason was that Julian’s whereabouts were easy to track. He spent most of his time at Imperial University, which gave plenty of time to plan out a scheme to kill him.

But the other four were different.

Pierce had been stationed with the military for a long time, and with the military’s strict protocols—not to mention even a random Butterfree flying in would get checked several times before being slapped and thrown out—it was impossible to get close.

Asher, Rowan, and Ember were all traveling for field training, and their whereabouts were unpredictable, so it was hard to catch them in a trap.

[T/N: I want to warn everyone beforehand that since this many countries are in one place some offensive things will be said and done. I will try to cut as much as possible or alter some words but some things might have to be kept for not breaking the flow. Plus killing and insulting people is going to be done in this arc.

I want you all to just read it as a fantasy and that was also the reason why I didn't use real country names in the first place. So yeah just assume Drakoria as your own country if you want, and from now on I'm thinking of not providing real references of these fantasy names but if guys want to know just ask in the comments and I will reply.

Lastly, thanks a lot for reading and loving this till now, I didn't think I will continue it till now and get this good of a response. So yeah thank you guys for all the love and support <3.]
