He found a quiet corner in his quarters, a space he had carefully cleansed and warded to minimize distractions.

His first attempt was a frustrating failure. He meticulously followed the diagram, drawing the lines with the jade paste, chanting the incantation with focused intent.

But when he activated the array, nothing happened. The stones remained inert, no energy flowing through them.

He felt a wave of disappointment wash over him, but he refused to be discouraged. He carefully reviewed the diagram, comparing it to his own creation.

He realized that he had not properly calibrated the array to the specific type of healing he desired.

For his second attempt, he focused his intent on a specific injury, a small cut on his hand. He visualized the array's energy flowing to the wound, accelerating the healing process.

As he activated the array, the rose quartz crystals pulsed with a soft pink light, and the fragrant herbs released their soothing aromas.
