No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother

Chapter 59 - 57: What Is the Purpose

Chapter 59 - 57: What Is the Purpose

Liam said this and pulled her wrist, heading toward the door.

In the corridor, in the living room! The servants watched Liam hastily drag Maya along, quickly moved aside to make way, and watched wide-eyed as Maya was taken away. No one dared to ask what was happening.

In the garage, Maya was stuffed into the passenger seat of the car.

Immediately, Liam drove the car away, taking her to Sky Hospital for tests.

He didn't believe, didn't believe this woman hadn't done anything to him. He distinctly remembered his current state was exactly the same as when he danced with her earlier, all foggy and unclear.

If it weren't for the sound of her dropping the pen, they might have been doomed tonight; he would have devoured the woman before him.

At the hospital, the doctor quickly performed blood tests on both of them and conducted a comprehensive physical examination on Maya, including an examination of the clothes she was wearing.

In the director's office, Maya sat on the sofa, arms crossed, angrily waiting for the results.

She hadn't done anything, wasn't afraid of any tests, but being dragged to the hospital by Liam's distrust still left her feeling uncomfortable.

Even though she's used to being called shameless usually, she's still a girl and cares about her dignity.

Forty minutes later, the blood test results for both came out, as did the results for Maya's clothing checks.

The director said, "Young Master Spencer, there are no stimulants or catalysts in your and Miss Spencer's blood, nor any such substances sprayed on Miss Spencer's clothes."

Listening to the doctor's report, Maya gave Liam a fierce eye roll. Who's trying to cover up is quite obvious! It's him throwing stones to hide his embarrassment after being reminded and refused by her, dragging her to the hospital to play deaf!

Maya had a lot of mocking words for him but held them back, saying nothing.

She didn't want to say another word to him, not even a punctuation mark was necessary.

Regarding the hospital's examination, Liam couldn't accept it. He furrowed his brows and said, "Director, could there be an error in the examination? I definitely felt body discomfort."

"Young Master Spencer, this is a simple check. You should trust us; your blood is normal. It's best for both of you to keep a distance."

Liam understood the underlying meaning of the director's words, which were hinting that his desire for Maya was due to his hormones acting up, without any external reasons.

Liam was very unsatisfied with this result but couldn't find any stronger evidence, so he said goodbye to the director and left the office.

The siblings entered the elevator one after the other, and Maya got off at the first floor, not following Liam to the parking lot.

The man watched her leave the elevator, didn't keep her, and let her go alone.

He thought she would wait for him at the hospital entrance, but when he drove out, her figure had long vanished; she had no intention of returning home with him.

Suddenly, Liam's heart sank. What a Maya, she really did it, he didn't say he wouldn't drive her, yet she chose not to get in his car.

Fine! Since that's the case, don't expect to ask him for anything in the future.

However, Maya had no intention of asking him for anything, including tutoring.

On the way back, Maya felt calm. Although it was unpleasant to be dragged to the hospital at night, at least she proved her innocence, the innocence of not having drugged him.

Meanwhile, someone was extremely depressed.

Originally thinking he could catch her red-handed and humiliate her, he didn't expect to be the one humiliated instead.

When he returned home, the servants were complaining about Maya taking a taxi home without money, asking them to lend her money.

Listening to the servant's complaints made Liam even more frustrated. That woman, penniless, chose to take a cab just to avoid him. Fine! Very good! Splendid!

After Maya's innocence was proven, the man cared more about her indifferent attitude towards him, no longer dwelling on who was right or wrong that night.

When he went to his room, he saw Maya coming out with her backpack.

In the hallway, they both froze, both expressionless, not acknowledging the other.

A moment later, Maya spoke first. She said, "I've finished the exercises and left them on the desk. If there are no errors, please let Grandpa and Big Sister know that tutoring can end."

When Maya said that, she was confident they were all correct.

However, hearing her words, Liam seemed to have found leverage.

He slightly lowered his head, stared into her eyes, and asked, "You clearly know how to do them, clearly score better than Elia Spencer? Why pretend to be dumb and let me tutor you, what's your purpose?"

Maya understood Liam's implication, insinuating she and Grandpa had a plan, suspecting she was feigning ignorance to get close to him and gain benefits.

She looked into his eyes, took a deep breath, and explained, "I faked ignorance just to avoid Aunt Hannah giving me trouble. Of course, if you believe I conspired with Grandpa, I won't deny it either."

Maya only wanted to guard against Hannah to avoid her jealousy from her being too outstanding, so she pretended to be dumb, but still threw a smoke grenade at Liam to make him uncomfortable.

If he suspected she conspired with Grandpa, then let him; the angrier he was, the happier she would be, just as a revenge for his bullying.

Currently, her ability was only enough for this small act of revenge.

Liam looked at the girl's indifferent and nonchalant attitude, about to explode with anger yet was stifled by her with no words to say.

Watching the man's frustrated expression finally brought Maya some satisfaction; she walked slowly forward.

Liam felt the footsteps of the girl passing by him, her presence carrying a victorious stance. He hated her attitude, the way she saw no one in her eyes.

He didn't expect someday he and Hannah would be alike, not worth her notice.

Only after hearing Maya go downstairs and close the door did Liam let out a long sigh and walked into his room.

Entering the room, he fiercely threw his phone to the ground.

It was the first time he was ignored by someone, the first time seeing someone's face, really damn unpleasant.

Although the misunderstanding has been cleared, Maya is still avoiding Liam, not meeting him in the morning or at night, and during school, she doesn't even step out of the classroom and has moved from Spencer's house to live at school.

She just wanted to surpass Elia Spencer in the final test; that way, Grandpa wouldn't make it difficult for Liam, would let him return to the Owen Family, so she could return to Spencer's house to continue secretly reading her mom's diary.

This situation persisted for a week, Maya never appeared in front of someone.

When someone learned Maya moved to live at school, he was so angry he didn't go home for several days.

That day, on the sports field, students who failed or didn't pass their physical tests were retaking them; Liam, however, stood by the floor-to-ceiling window watching them and kept his eyes fixed on a particular person.
