Chapter 1336: I Also Want To Be Like Him (Part 1)

The first form of the Soul Slayer War Arts— Vortex of Lost Souls—and the second form— Vortex of Astral Souls—that Evan had used against Velgoth in the Azragoth World are intrinsically connected.

The second form is entirely dependents on the first; without it, the second form can't be activated.

However, the third form of the Soul Slayer War Arts is completely different from the previous two.

Unlike the first form, where one literally pulls out the soul of the target and traps it within the Halberd of Destruction—later using the captured soul through the second form—the third form operates on a completely different level.

As its name—Annihilation—suggests, the third form is the embodiment of pure destruction.

Because the current Halberd of Destruction that Evan possessed was only a replica, he only had access to the knowledge of the first three forms of the Soul Slayer War Arts.

He had never tried using the third form before, as the information he received upon first acquiring the Soul Slayer War Arts made it clear that to use the third form, he would require the Power of Law, a strong soul, and an extremely high level of physical capability.

If he attempted to use the third form without meeting these requirements, even his very existence would collapse due to the overwhelming toll it would take on his body and soul.

Now that he had become a Rank Four Core Evolver, he finally possessed the Power of Law. His soul was already far stronger than most Core Evolvers at the same rank, and with the Dragon Blood Flowers that Anastasia had given him, his physical capabilities had also reached a very high level.

Sylvan, who had sensed that Evan was preparing to use a powerful move, had exited the Shadow World earlier to construct a secondary barrier around it.

He had just finished reinforcing the barrier when his expression suddenly changed.

"F*ck..." The old man couldn't help but swear as he watched the Shadow World trapped within his barrier crumble—or rather, be completely obliterated by a blinding golden light that radiated pure destruction and chaos.

The space and time inside the barrier collapsed like a fragile mirror. The grand castle of the kingdom vanished, the ground was swallowed by chaos, and an oppressive silence engulfed the entire area.

The golden light within the barrier grew increasingly brighter, and even the barrier constructed by someone like Sylvan—a Rank Six Core Evolver began to tremble.

Rank Five Core Evolvers are also known as Disaster-Level Existences.

Although Evan had not yet reached Rank Five, Sylvan had long since considered him a disaster-level existence, even before his breakthrough to Rank Four.

For disaster-level beings, it only took a single attack to annihilate an entire kingdom—a kingdom that spanned hundreds of thousands, or even millions of kilometers.

Understanding Evan's capabilities, Sylvan hadn't used his strongest barrier—but it was still powerful enough to withstand any attack from a typical peak Rank Five Core Evolver.

So seeing the barrier shake made Sylvan sweat like a pig.

"Just what kind of dope did he take before starting this fight..." Sylvan cursed while reinforcing the barrier further. "Why the hell is he so strong?"

Although the blinding golden light of destruction within the barrier had become overwhelmingly powerful, Sylvan was ultimately able to prevent it from destroying the entire kingdom by strengthening the barrier in time.

Around a minute later, the effects of Annihilation began to fade, and the golden light slowly dissipated.

As the light fully disappeared and the scene inside the barrier came into view, Sylvan couldn't help but suck in a breath of cold air.

"Damn... It's a good thing I reacted in time and stopped the aftereffects of that attack. If not..." Sylvan stepped forward and entered the area without lifting the barrier.

"If I hadn't reacted in time, I am afraid this entire kingdom—and even its surroundings would have been reduced to the same state."

Sylvan looked at the darkness surrounding him, a clear indication that not only had the space been annihilated, but even light itself had been erased from the area.

Due to the destruction of the spatial layer, he could sense the presence of the Void Space, confirming that the area had collapsed into it.

However, even the presence of the Void Space felt faint—indicating that the power of the attack had nearly destroyed even that.

"It's because his Law Power still isn't strong enough. If it were stronger, not only material space, this attack might have even destroyed the Void Space completely, and this entire area would have been swallowed by Nothingness."

As Sylvan murmured to himself, he finally remembered Evan and began to look around for him.

Using his spiritual senses, he located Evan, floating in the darkness like an asteroid.

Sylvan immediately approached him, and upon sensing his condition, couldn't help but frown.

"His body's a complete mess..." He muttered under his breath and placed a hand over Evan's chest, only to discover that all the bones in his body had shattered—some even reduced to white powder.

Most of his internal organs were in total disarray, and all of his energy was wildly chaotic.

Most importantly, the Power of Destruction, usually contained within the Halberd was rampaging throughout his body.

Sylvan looked at the Halberd of Destruction floating beside Evan and noticed that it, too, was in an unstable state.

"Elora," He tried to call, but there was no response from the Halberd.

"Damn it, there was no need for him to use an attack that was so far beyond his current capabilities..." Sylvan muttered as he pulled out a high-grade healing potion to administer to Evan.

While Evan remained unconscious, a few notifications flashed through his status window.
