Million dollar bride

In the capital X, David sat on the bed, straightening his legs. He thinks that when he is busy himself, he will eventually forget all about her. But that made him miss her even more. Her scent, the curves of her body, her soft lips, and everything about her were imprinted on his mind. Before, he had not interacted with any girls. Then suddenly Ella entered his life making everything completely messed up. He realizes he loves her. Everything about her made him feel like he wanted to hold her and not let her go.
But she kept her distance from him. Because of the marriage contract or because his mother did not agree to this marriage? He thinks he will turn the fake couple into the real couple. One day, he will make his mother accept Ella.
Ella goes to have lunch at a restaurant before going back to her house. At the restaurant, she runs into her friend Suzy and Suzy's husband Robert.
“Is it you? Long time no see. Are you ok?" Suzy said excitedly. Since she spoke a little loudly, everyone around turned their heads to look at them.
"I miss you so much. We haven't seen each other in a long time." Suzy walked over to Ella and hugged her.
Robert stood in the back, and in his arms, he held a very cute, plump baby boy. He smiled politely and greeted Ella. They chose a long table in the corner of the restaurant.
When the waiter brought out the food, Suzy looked at Ella and asked. “Heard you got married? Your husband is not with you today? Do you have a picture of him?”
Ella was silent and thinking. 'I don't have any pictures of him. Maybe I'll take a picture with him later.'
“Suzy, you shouldn't ask her that,” Robert spoke up, while still holding their baby in her arms.
Ella returned to reality. She smiled and calmly said. “My husband is on a business trip abroad. So I took the opportunity to visit my family. I'm sorry, I don't have any pictures of him." She said and sipped her drink.
“I want to know which man can make you marry him. You have never had a boyfriend before. I guess it must be a special and perfect man.” Suzy wondered.
But Ella just smiled and said nothing. She looked at the baby in Robert's arms and said. “The baby is so cute. You two only had one child?"
“You know, Robert - my husband - is very busy. Having a child is considered very lucky.” Suzy sighed.
“Aren't you also busy with teaching? Don't talk like I don't want children." Robert spoke up, correcting his wife's words.
"OK. I'm sorry, honey. We are both busy. And Wiwi is our great gift.” Suzy laughed and pinched the cheek of a baby named Wiwi.
They talked for a while while they ate and then Ella said goodbye to them and went to The Lancaster apartment. She stood outside the door and rang the bell twice and her father opened the door.
Ella is happy to see her father again and so is he. She hugs her father. “Father, I miss you so much. I'm here to visit you."
"I miss you too. Is my job okay? Why didn't you come to visit me until now?" Mr. Stephen asked, he was very happy to see his daughter again.
“The past few days, I have been too busy to visit you. But now that I have a few days off, I will stay here with you, to take care of you. I have a lot to say to you. Ella said and went into the house.
"Okay, we'll talk after dinner." Mr. Stephen said.
In the afternoon, Ella went to the supermarket to buy some ingredients to cook for dinner. She cooks a lot of delicious food. Both she and her father ate and talked.
After eating, Mr. Stephen went into the bedroom to rest and Ella washed the dishes. After placing all the dishes on the shelf, she wiped her hands and walked out into the living room. She opened her bag to get her phone. She stared at her phone, sighing slowly. No calls or messages. It's been five days he hasn't called her even once. Doesn't he remember her? Is he so busy that he doesn't have time to contact her? Questions kept swirling in her mind.
Ella hesitated, not sure if she should call David or not. Then she put it in her bag. She closed her eyes for a moment before turning on the computer, working.
"After all, what am I in your heart?" - Ella wondered. The wind is getting colder and colder, autumn is almost over, and winter is coming. The cold season in the coming year.
It's a cold winter, but is it as cold as her heart?
'He doesn't belong to me. Remember this.' Ella reminded herself.
When she raised her head to look out the window, it was already dark. She turned off the computer and took a shower. Stepping out of the bathroom, she passed her father's room and saw him fast asleep, she went to her room with peace of mind and lay down on the bed.
In the middle of the night, she heard the phone ring. She picked up the phone without looking at the caller.
"Hello." She said in a sleepy voice.
"You are sleeping?" A male voice asked over the phone.
"Yes." She said, still in a dream.
"I'm sorry for waking you up."
"Not your fault."
On the other end of the line, he could hear steady breathing. They kept silent for a while. After ten minutes, David said. "I miss you." His gentle voice made Ella sink deeper into her dreams. She thought she was dreaming. She dreamed that she and David were walking hand in hand under the starry sky, sometimes they even kissed passionately.
"Do you remember me?" David asked again.
And Ella replied in a dream. “Yes, I miss you too.”
David was silent again. His heart was filled with happiness. After a while, he said. “Sleep well, my dear wife.”
He hung up the call as soon as he finished speaking. His heart was pounding. He feels so comfortable, and he misses her so much, for more than a week there hasn't been a time when he hasn't thought of her. No matter how many projects, he just finished quickly to return, not in the mood to do anything.
While Ella was still in a dream. Her beautiful dream.
The next day, she didn't check the phone log. She didn't think David called her last night.
Ella goes back to work. Although David has gone on a business trip, she still has to go to the company to do some work. She doesn't want to leave herself alone, even though she knows she will have to confront Maria. She had to choose the solution of silence and ignore it.
