Million dollar bride

Chapter 15: Return

Key stopped the car in front of the airport's entrance. There was a group of people screaming at the door, mostly teenagers. They took their phone to take pictures, and one of them took a video of what was happening inside the airport.
Key pushed his way through the crowd to take a look. A girl in a pink off-the-shoulder dress with polka dots. Curly hair falls down her back. Her beautiful face and charming smile melt the hearts of many passionate boys. Her smooth, gentle movements make everyone fall in love.
It is Maria. She walked in a leisurely manner. Her head held high, smug.
Key stood in a corner to watch and shook his head. He had never felt fond of this girl. If David hadn't asked him to pick up Maria, he would probably be on a date with someone he likes by now. The more Key looked at Maria's arrogant attitude, the more depressed Key became, sighing.
But this girl was the one his master ordered to pick up, he couldn't refuse. Although David never shows any loving feelings towards her, he still treats her well. Because they've been friends since childhood.
When she saw Key, Maria's face turned to a scowl. She thought David would come to pick her up. That way, Maria can brag to her friends that she has a handsome and rich lover. Of course, David never admitted this.
But who knows, David asked his assistant to come to pick her up. She mumbled a bit before walking towards Key. She asked voice annoyed. "Why didn't David come?"
"The general manager was busy, so he asked me to come and drive you home," Key said, tone calm and clear.
Key opens the car door. Maria sat inside with an angry expression.
Key went around the driver's seat and started the car.
Maria took her phone from her bag and called David but he didn't pick up. Frustrated, she turned to ask Key, who was still concentrating on driving. “After all, what does he do, where can I not call?”
"He is busy," Key answered briefly.
“Busy to the point of not picking up a call from me?” Maria rolled her eyes angrily.
“You also know how busy a CEO's job is, don't you? Please sympathize with him.”
“But he texted me that he was coming to pick me up.”
Key said calmly. "Because of unexpected work, he can't come to pick you up."
"I don't believe. You lie.” Maria shouted, her face red with anger.
"You don't believe me, I don't know what to do." Key shrugged, looking innocent.
"Take me to see him."
"I'm afraid this is not possible."
“Who do you think you are to speak to me in a condescending tone? You are just a dog beside your master. Follow my orders or I will tell Uncle Roy to fire you. After all, he is David's father, a bigger position in the company than David." Maria threatened.
Key had no choice but to drive towards the dance center.
At this moment in the dance studio, David is instructing Ella on every move. He is very good at dancing the Samba. Even the instructor and other students looked at him with admiration. The main reason, David didn't want Ella to dance with Nolan.
"Good." The teacher said loudly and walked out of the dance room, some other students also stepped outside to take a break.
Ella wanted to go back to her seat, but David pulled her hand back. “We continue to study. Didn't you say you want to master the art of dancing? I will guide you."
"Aren't you tired?"
"No."
“But you still have to go to the company.”
“I only work half-time and leave everything at the company to Key. Come on, let's begin." David pulled her into his lap. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held her hand. They review the moves they have learned.
In the melodious music, they dance together passionately. Time seemed to stop and this world was only them.
Suddenly, David lifted Ella into his arms. She panicked. “Put me down.”
David commented. “You are so light, you need to eat a lot. You should not go on a diet, it's not good for your health right now." His voice was filled with worry.
“Put me down, please,” Ella repeated.
"Okay. But on one condition." David smiled slyly.
Ella asked. "What's the condition?"
"Kiss me and I'll let you down." David's face leaned close to Ella's.
Ella felt her cheeks heat up and her heart made frantic sounds. How can she do this?
She hesitated.
Unable to wait any longer, David leaned down, his forehead almost touching hers, his thin lips pressed against hers. The man's kiss was gentle, Ella could hear his raspy and heavy breathing. The moment his lips touched hers, every corner of her body seemed to be filled, she closed her eyes to receive that passionate kiss.
Much later, David dropped her, asking. "Do you like me?" His voice has some emphasis.
His breath brushed over her forehead, cool and pleasant, yet his words startled her, her heart suddenly racing. His gaze was like a torch, both enchanting and gentle. She didn't know how to respond for a moment, subconsciously wanting to avoid his direct gaze.
But David didn't intend to give her a chance to hide, he reached out his hand to turn her face, forcing her to look him straight in the eye, speaking in a low voice, word for word. “Tell me, are your feelings real?”
His breath was passionate and burning, but his tone was sincere as if waiting for an answer.
Ella remained silent, not speaking.
But David was still very patient. He lowered his head, looked at her, and said softly, "Tell me the truth, Ella..."
Ella's heart was completely stirred by his breath, I don't know if it was because it was too quiet around or because he was so close to her, just felt her heart jump again and again until she was about to open her mouth when a soft cough came from the door, causing both of them to turn their heads to look.
Maria stood outside the window, seeing it all. Her face darkened.
