I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 109: New Weapon's Enchantments?

[Enchantments: Predator's Edge, Relentless Maw, Hunter's Triumph]

[Predator's Edge: The Odachi retains the Black Maw's predatory nature, allowing it to carve through flesh and bones—even reinforced armour—with unnatural ease.]

[Relentless Maw: Just as the Black Maw fought across both land and water, the Odachi maintains its deadliness in any environment. It will never dull or lose its momentum even when submerged underwater.]

[Hunter's Triumph: The Odachi resonates with those who prove their strength. Once conquering a mighty foe, its weight becomes seemingly lighter, its swings more fluid, and its cuts deeper.]

'This...'

This weapon that Lillian held in her hands... she couldn't help but be in awe of it. Why was such a beautiful weapon like this in the possession of such an unknown trader?

And why exactly did he have a tier 5 weapon in his collection?

Lillian held the odachi in one arm and felt that the weight had incredulously increased. She quickly pulled her hand back to its hilt and stabilized it.

She breathed a sigh of relief before staring at it in awe. This weapon was forged from the remains of a Prime beast—a monster of the B rank.

Not only that, but the tier of this weapon was in the fifth tier. These tiers mainly depend on how many shells the monster had formed before its demise.

This meant that the drake, formerly known as the Black Maw, was a Prime Gore—a monstrous terror that had evolved five times.

Lillian shuddered at the thought of facing such a nightmarish creature. The corrupted Catacomb Dweller had haunted her enough alongside the bastard Beetle she had turned into a Shard.

After admiring the blade, she sheathed it and turned to Marionette with puppy eyes.

The red-eyed woman stared down at her with a raised brow before turning to the trader and asking:

"The odachi..."

"I know... such a beautiful weapon, isn't it?" the trader muttered, tapping his fingers against the wooden cane.

He then became slightly unsettled the longer Marionette gazed at him intently. It was at that moment that Lillian spoke up.

"She was asking how much it was."

"Oh...? That was a question, eh...?"

He held his chin, fidgeting with the rim of his hat. He pondered the price.

"235,000 Semis... I think that should cover it..."

Lillian widened her eyes. She knew the price for an item like this would most likely be some kind of 'over-the-top' price, but... to think it was this expensive!

Now that she thought about it... wasn't this double the amount she currently had in her bank account? This was insane!

She nervously turned her eyes back to Marionette. She stared at the black-haired woman, who folded her arms and closed her eyes as she fell into deep thought.

She must be weighing her decisions. Lillian wouldn't blame her. This was indeed quite the—

—Ding!

"Thank you for the patronage!"

In mere moments, Marionette had transferred the money needed to pay the trader.

Lillian stared at her with a guilt-ridden expression. Did she deserve this weapon? She bit her bottom lip.

She then pinched Marionette's sleeve and tugged at it, staring up at her.

She then asked, cutely: "Could I please... buy another?"

"..."

Marionette stared down at her silently.

The trader glanced between the two—patient, prepared to service them.

While the trader seemed calm, he was in fact overjoyed at being able to sell an item for such a cost. He was even hoping they would continue to buy from him.

However, he was soon brought back to reality.

"Not now. We may after we finish our lessons," Marionette stated, softly pinching Lillian's right cheek.

The white-haired girl squealed slightly. She was eventually released and gave a sigh.

"I see..."

Lillian then stored the weapon and hugged Marionette—grateful for her hospitality.

She then quietly muttered, "Thank you for the weapon."

Marionette stiffened a bit, glancing around and noticing the brief gazes that had been cast their way.

"No... problem... let's just head to class, Lillian," she whispered.

Lillian's ears twitched at her words. If she didn't know any better, she swore she heard a hint of shakiness in her voice. But that wouldn't be the case, right?

It would be so out of character for the lovable assassin.

Nothing eventful happened on their way toward the Academy Building. Nothing except Lillian's obvious good mood as she strolled forward, clinging to Marionette's left arm.

She didn't really care if this caused her to draw strange or curious gazes. After all—isn't physical contact one of the many ways to express one's gratitude and affection?

'When did I become so touchy...?' she wondered before glancing at the raven-haired woman.

She wasn't sure why, but the entire time she was latched onto her arm, Marionette had stubbornly hidden the lower half of her face with her right hand.

She was curious why she was doing this and had even thought about asking. However, she felt she shouldn't be too... 'snoopy' about it.

Lillian glanced around. She stared at those who conversed with one another, and those who stood before vending machines to fetch either drinks or snacks.

Her eyes eventually glanced past a hooded figure dropping a suspicious box into a bin.

She didn't focus on this sight; instead, she focused on the incoming purple-haired girl, pouncing toward her.

"LILLI—"

Before this girl could even finish shouting her name or collide with her, Marionette swiftly raised her right foot.

Millis collided with the surface of Marionette's shoe, scraping down it before landing on the ground.

She rubbed her face, wiping the dirt off with a handkerchief she had in her inner pocket.

She then spat on the cobblestone road before getting up and—

"What da hell is the big idea, eh!? Stop cockblocking, red-eyes!" Millis frustratedly pointed at Marionette, who scoffed, lowering her hand.

"Cockblocking? Why do I need to do that when I'm obviously the better pick?"

"W-wha!? What the?! Why, ya little..."

Lillian stood before the two, sighing. She rubbed the gap between her brows before staring at Marionette and Millis.

"How about you two just..."
