Chapter 150
Boom!
Kalibak swung the Beta Club, tearing through the air with a screeching howl as it aimed straight for David's head. But in the next instant, an iron fist, moving even faster, slammed into his massive skull, and the shockwave exploded violently.
His head rattled, and his huge, burly body, like a kite with its string cut, smashed through the tower wall and tumbled inside.
The eyes of the beast-like Steppenwolf narrowed.
Kalibak, inheritor of his nephew's bloodline, unmatched in strength on the planet Apokolips, even hailed by some as the God of Strength, was sent flying by a single punch.
"Interesting."
Mantis lowered his arms.
Like an insect hunter with an instinct for the hunt, he detected a familiar scent on David in the brief moment of attack.
Kalibak's terrifying force, enough to topple a mountain, was completely absorbed by David, who didn't even retreat a millimeter in midair?
"I'm going to tear you apart!"
Hovering steadily in the air, David looked down indifferently and slowly retracted his fist. Kalibak's head spun, and he staggered to his feet from the rubble, letting out an enraged howl.
"Vengeance for my father, you monster!"
Steelbone's eyes, red with pain and rage, flared beneath him as he raised his fist, rocketing towards his father's killer, Kalibak, like a launched missile.
Buzz!
"Out of my way, you pile of scrap metal."
Kalibak bellowed with disdain, and a white neural laser shot out from the iron rod in his hand, hitting Steelbone with precision. A scream came from Steelbone's throat as he endured the agony of a thousand cuts, his body stiffening and falling from the sky.
"Don't get in my way."
Without a glance, he leaped through the air towards David.
Swoosh!
David extended his palm, capturing Kalibak's body in midair with a powerful gravity field. With a flick of his wrist, Kalibak was sent flying like a stone, creating a massive crater in the ground.
David also effortlessly caught Steelbone, who was dazed with pain from Kalibak's neural laser, ensuring he landed safely on the ground below.
Kalibak, inheritor of Darkseid's bloodline, had extraordinary strength. Steelbone, newly transformed and not yet fully accustomed to his body, failed to withstand even one of Kalibak's blows, losing most of his combat power.
Above the city, a swarm of Parademons filled the sky, their wingbeats merging into a constant hum.
Aquaman, clearing Parademons alongside the Flash, saw the enemy leader fall from the high tower. He leaped, trident in hand, plunging towards the pit with a strike that carried the force of ten thousand tons, only to be caught by a large hand.
What do you think?
