I Received System to Become Dragonborn

Chapter 854 854: Out From Circle

Yara burst from the mist like a storm.

Thorne saw her first. His instincts flared just in time. He raised his massive sword in front of the group, taking a defensive stance as his boots dug into the earth.

Around Yara, dozens of chunks of torn rock and soil floated in the air, orbiting her body. She didn't bother hiding it. She wanted them to see it.

"She's flaunting it," Thorne growled. "She wants us to know what's coming."

Yara's crimson eyes met his for a split second, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. She stretched out her hands and let her Magic flood into the orbiting boulders.

In an instant, the swirling stones shimmered violently. Veins of glowing red energy webbed across their surfaces like living magma.

Then she thrust her arms forward and the ground shook.

The glowing boulders launched at once, screaming through the air and hammering the barrier with unrelenting force.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Each impact rocked the dome of protection. Light rippling violently across its surface. The golden barrier pulsed, flared, and cracked under the assault.

Though it was reinforced by both Esther and Selene's Magic, the structure groaned under the overwhelming pressure. Cracks spiderwebbed across it.

"She's strong," Jan said flatly, voice grim. "Really strong."

No one disagreed. Their faces were pale, eyes locked on the barrier as fractures widened with each thunderous hit.

"This won't hold," Selene said, her voice sharp with urgency. "Be ready to fight directly."

"We don't even know how many of them there are," Hund muttered, drawing his sword. His knuckles were white from the grip. "This is trouble."

He exhaled slowly, a grin flashing despite the tension. "Ah well. Fuck it. Just need to kill them."

Before anyone could respond, another attack hit the barrier. This time it came from the opposite side.

A spear cloaked in spiraling blue Magic crashed into the weakened barrier.

CRACK!

The impact was brutal, the barrier shrieking as it buckled. Then more attack came.

Bolts of fire. A hail of razor-like wind and nnother enchanted arrows.

CRACK!

BOOM!

CRACK!

The final blow came not with a roar but with a shuddering silence as the barrier's light flickered… then shattered like glass under pressure.

The shield was gone. Shards of fading Magic floated in the air like dying fireflies.

They were exposed.

Their weapons raised and hearts racing, Jan, Mark, Thorne, Selene, Esther, Annette, Kaela, and Hund stood together in a loose ring. Their eyes sweeping the mist.

Yara stepped forward leaving the thick mist behind her, the crimson light still pulsing from her gauntlet.

Jan's party can see that from behind her, more shadows moved. A second figure appeared. It was Darel with his sword glowing blue in his grip.

Then another and another appeared one by one .

The enemy was here. And they weren't just strong but they also organized, coordinated, and deadly.

"Positions!" Jan barked.

The forest exploded into chaos from that moment.

Jan's party knew they couldn't afford to be boxed in. Surrounded like this, they would be picked off one by one. Their only option was to break the formation fast.

Meanwhile, Darel's party advanced through the forest with confidence. They moved in a wide arc, stepping between the trees like wolves closing in for the kill.

Ten of them in total, fanned out around Jan's party. They believed they had full control of the battlefield.

"No way out," Darel muttered, eyes locked on Jan's group. "They're trapped."

Yara chuckled under her breath, her gauntlet still glowing. "This won't take long."

But just then Selene moved.

She stepped back from the front line and whispered something under her breath. The air shimmered around her as she swept both of her gloved hands in a smooth wide circle.

A ring of purple Magic erupted around the eight members of the party and before any of the enemies could react, the eight of them were flying airborne.

In a sudden whoosh of light and pressure the party lifted into the sky as if gravity had momentarily ceased to exist. Leaves tore from branches below them, swirling in the updraft of Selene's spell.

"What the hell?!" Varn's voice rang out as he stumbled to a stop, wide-eyed. "What kind of Magic is that?!"

Before he could get an answer, Selene move again.

Still in the air, she thrust both palms forward and a surge of kinetic force launched her allies across the treetops. They flew like arrows through the mist — past Yara, past Darel, past the others — then landed just behind the enemy's formation.

The landing wasn't soft but it was precise. Boots hit dirt, knees bent, and weapons drawn before the dust even settled.

Jan, Mark, Thorne, Hund, Kaela, Esther, and Annette stood behind Darel's party, cutting off their path and reversing the trap entirely.

Selene landed lightly behind them moments later, dusting her gloves.

"You surprised?" she said with a smirk, her eyes locking onto Varn's stunned face. "You thought we were some rookie adventurers?"

Jan's party grinned.

The tension snapped like a bowstring. With no warning or even an order they charged.

Jan dashed forward. Now he slung his bow and taking out his dual daggers that flashing in his hands as he went straight for Darel. Mark followed a heartbeat behind, flanking left Darel with terrifying speed.

Thorne roared, swinging his giant blade in a heavy arc toward Varn, who barely raised his axe in time.

Esther and Annette moved in tandem. Annette sending a burst of defensive light to cover Thorne while Esther launching radiant projectiles to suppress the enemy's support line.

Hund grinned wide as he slammed into one of the enemy frontliners with brutal, reckless power.

Kael using her dual daggers suddenly dissapear from her position. The spear man who was watching her wide his eyes shock.

"Damnit!" the spear man cursed. He then concentrated and stab his spears toward one spot in the mist. He maybe can't see her but he is not a rookie either, he can sense her movement.

Kaela scoffed. "Huh, pretty nice."

Then she dissapeared again.
