Chapter 1: Reincarnation (1)
I have a multitude of questions in my mind as I blankly stare at the mirror in front of me.
I don’t believe in superstitions like reincarnation—
But this wasn’t a dream.
My mind was hazy and confused.
I kept denying the fact that I had possessed a character from the game Seoul Arcane Online.
And then, I let out a painful scream from the sharp headache that suddenly hit me. At the same time, knowledge that I never had before suddenly came to my head.
Lee Shinwoo?
Who the hell is that?
I don’t remember ever making a character like him in the game. And the worst part?
My chances of survival in this world are slim.
Unlike the protagonist in Seoul Arcane Online, Kang Min-hyuk. He possessed everything that every protagonist in a novel or game has.
A blessing from five divine gods and a cheat system that supported his monstrous growth.
Also, his romance route, which connected him to multiple heroines who would take particular interest in him as the story progressed.
But Lee Shinwoo.
He was nothing. Just an extra.
An orphan born in the slums. He never lived like a decent human, not until he met his uncle who saved his pathetic life. A man who saved his life out of kindness when he was dying on the street.
And now, for some reason, he was accepted into the Korean Hunter Academy—
Because he awakened with a rare affinity for time magic.
My time magic is indeed rare, the most unique of them all.
The original owner of this body tested its limits.
I can stop time for five seconds, within a 10-meter radius.
It’s useless against long-range magic.
If the enemy’s stronger than me, they can kill me before I even react.
I sighed.
Then, suddenly, unknown runic letters appeared in the air. For some reason, I could understand them perfectly. It was written in my language.

"Huh?"
"What is this?"
I stared at the screen, still processing what was happening. System? A new talent?
I didn’t hesitate this time. I picked the option: “Yes.”

“…No way. It actually worked.”
A system… like the ones given to protagonists by the divine beings?
I never thought I’d get something like this.
"Status window."
I muttered.
[Name: Lee Shinwoo (Kim Suho) - Level 1. Occupation: Magi (Mythical-rank) HP: 1000/1000 MP: 200 Strength: 3 Agility: 5 Intelligence: 2 Luck: 3 Charisma: 1]
"Magi… Judging from the name of the job, it doesn’t seem to be a job that involves direct combat. In the world of Seoul Arcane Online, the lowest rank is Common and the highest is Legendary. I’ve never expected that the rumor of a hidden rank above Legendary actually existed."
A/N: The known ranking system in Seoul Arcane Online is as follows — Common, Rare, Epic, Unique, Heroic, and Legendary. Hidden or transcendent ranks above Legendary are considered myths among players.
I let out a sigh of relief. Seeing the word "Mythical" in front of the job made me think it was a pretty useful one—perfect for my dual attributes: time and spatial magic.
In modern society, being told to fight monsters would be insane. But in this world, that’s something awakeners normally do.
With that thought, I opened the skill tree, hoping there were at least a few decent skills.

“…This…is my skill tree?”
Moreover, when I looked at the skill description and effects, it didn’t seem bad at all. In this world, strength is everything, whether it’s magic or combat. However, no matter how strong you are, if you don’t have a movement skill, the enemy will kill you before you can cast your AOE spell on them.
“Magi… Is this supposed to be my class? I’ve never heard of it. Maybe this is a bug?”
I decided to use the skill, expecting it to be helpful, even though I didn’t know how to use it yet.
The method of using skills wasn’t any different from the game. Nothing special was needed. Just my will was enough. But for now, I wanted to use my skills freely in an environment where I could train as much as I wanted.
“If I had to shout the skill name every time I used it, that would’ve been really embarrassing.”
What do you think?
