Although sometimes Buddha isn’t always truly good, nor are demons always truly evil, in many people’s eyes, Buddha symbolizes good, and demons symbolize evil. This mindset is deeply entrenched, not something one or a few can easily change.

This is, in fact, a kind of tragedy. The reason demons are seen as evil is because they harm people, consuming and killing them or doing other misdeeds. Buddha is viewed as good because Buddha often defeats demons; slaying demons stops them from harming people, thus Buddha saves. Yet unbeknownst, demons commit small evils, while Buddha does great evils. The world sees only small evils and ignores the great, hence they only know demons as evil, unaware that Buddha can be more evil.
