Extra's POV: My Obsessive Villainous Fiancee Is The Game's Final Boss

Chapter 100: Welcome To My Hell

Chapter 100: Welcome To My Hell

When he arrived at the sitting room, Anders was seated there with an expectant smirk, almost as if he had been waiting for him.

"You know," the prince drawled, "I was expecting Octavian, not you. I thought the bugger had gone to prepare something before coming to kill me. It wasn't as if he could go against my orders and attack you and Liith directly."

"You thought wrong." Ren said, staring at Anders with intense focus. "Octavian came."

Anders sat up, his eyes wide. "And what of Lilith?"

"I won't be speaking this calmly with you if she were dead."

"Oh, thank goodness." Anders exhaled in relief before chuckling. "If you die, it's not that big a loss but Lilith? Nah. I can't let someone I control that tightly die."

He sat up in his chair. "Will I be right in assuming you're here to kill me?"

Ren said nothing.

"Very well." Anders poured himself a glass of wine and took a sip. "I won't deny you the opportunity to depart for the afterlife."

He downed the rest of the glass and stood up with a lazy grin. "Two of us against you would be a bit too much, right?" He glanced confidently at his right-hand man. "Lars, back to the palace."

Ren stayed quiet. Do not interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.

Lars didn't question the order. He gave the Penny Prince a curt nod before disappearing through the door.

The moment it shut behind him, Anders' lips curled into a dark smirk. "So. You think you can take me? By all means." He waved lazily to himself. "Try."

Ren didn't need to be told twice.

He lashed out first, surging forward with his new enhanced speed, his hands reaching for Anders face. Anders' eyes widened as he barely dodged, leaning back to avoid the hand and countering with a kick to the gut that sent Ren sliding back.

"Wow!" Anders praised, his eyes shining in delight. "You weren't this fast before. Amazing!"

Ren narrowed his eyes. Anders was exactly as strong as he had been at the start of the game. He was just as fast as this new enhanced Ren.

The Penny Prince cracked his knuckles. "Did you really think I'd let myself be killed in one blow like a pathetic wretch? Think again."

Ren reached into his shirt and his hand came out with a fistful of coins. With a thrust, the coins began bouncing around the room.

Anders opened his mouth to speak but Ren didn't wait to hear whatever he had to say. He teleported behind the prince, reaching for his neck. He was just a few inches away when—

Clang.

A swarm of small green hexagonal plates materialized out of thin air, interlocking to form a shimmering shield.

Ren's hand skittered on it before the shield flexed, the plates rippling and then expanding outward, shoving him hard. He sailed through the air before stabbing his hands into the ground, digging furrows into it as he stopped himself.

He stood, his eyes narrowing. That was it. Anders' trump card.

"Aegis." Anders chuckled in amusement, tapping the shield that floated beside him. "A Rank 5 artifact. Perfect defense. You like it?"

Ren didn't respond. It didn't matter what defence Anders had. He'll find an opening. Hopefully, before the arrogant fuck activated his Bloodbinding ability.

Unfortunately, the world wasn't that kind.

"Oh, I do love watching you think." Anders laughed. "But let's make things more interesting, shall we?"

A wave of energy pulsed from Anders, and in an instant, everything around them shifted.

Ren blinked. The room had changed, faster than he could process what was happening.

The walls twisted, peeling away into nothingness like it was alive, the very air vibrating unnaturally. The floor beneath them cracked and shattered, magma spilling from it and heating the air.

Ren leapt back, looking around. No! Fuck no!

The magma spread, eating some of the furniture that had been pulled in with them. Fortunately, the hot liquid didn't cover the whole place. It ran in rivulets along cracks in the floor.

"Welcome," Anders spread his arms, "to my Hell."

Ren tensed. Anders' private mansion was gone, replaced by his main Bloodbinding ability, tied to one of the rings in his hand. The fight had just become a million times harder.

"I know what you're wondering." Anders grinned. "Where am I? What happened to the place we were fighting?"

"That's the thing about me." He took a step forward, stepping into the magma like it was ordinary water. "I don't like fighting with too many interruptions. That was why I created this space. My own personal hell where the terrain is always in my favor."

Ren crouched in preparation. This pocket dimension had been crafted through multiple imbued runes.

One to create the space. Another to make Anders safe from any harmful thing in it. And another to make sure once a person was in, they couldn't leave without Anders' permission.

And that wasn't even the worst thing about this hell.

"You see," Anders mused, his grin widening, "every minute, I gain the ability to create a new rule to govern this space. And those rules? They're absolute. They cannot be broken as long as I draw breath."

His eyes flicked to the remaining of Ren's coins that had been dragged in with them, which still bounced around the place. "And this brings me to my first rule." A cruel smirk appeared on his face.

Ren didn't allow him to finish the sentence, teleporting to him. He pulled back his hand and as Anders' Aegis appeared in front of him, phased through it.

His eyes widened as he emerged from the other side. Anders was gone.

"Ha!" The prince laughed from the side. He'd used the Aegis as a smokescreen to move away from where he'd been. "You can't stop this Ren."

Ren teleported again and the Aegis appeared once more, blocking his vision.

"First rule!" Anders' voice echoed around the space as Ren's eyes landed on him a few paces away. "From here on out, there shall be no more teleportation."

And all the bouncing coins promptly dropped out of the air.
