"And you just let him slip out of you detection huh?" looking at the group of ladies with one of their knees on the ground trying their best to avoid their gaze, a cold, composed beauty said as she swirled the wine glass she is holding in her hand, the black dress perfectly fitting her graceful curves further accentuating the terrifying atmosphere somehow.

"M-mistress, we confirmed that the target just returns to the city for now, those other people previously tailing him was dealt with by him alone, so we think there’s no need to worry too much about his safety for now" the lady leading this group starts explaining, her words making them feel like the air is getting lighter as if the beauty in front of them is starting to calm down.

"Haah... I even sent you five to make sure that he wouldn’t get out of your sight... to think that he had grown that skilled after almost a decade..." looking at the figures respectfully kneeling in front of her, the cold beauty muttered more to herself rather than to them, her words still reaching the ears of these ladies given that their senses are already immensely enhanced by their growth ascending the tower.

After all, these five are people who are currently on what can only be classified as Earth’s current peak in the tower, all of them being ascenders who had successfully climbed to the tenth floor of the Ethereal Tower, where the leader of the Six Great Legia is currently stuck as well.

"You all have gathered enough information about him to update the database, you’ve done more than enough, all of you can return to strengthening yourself now, the next attempt on the Temple of Despair will start in three months, after we gather enough Return Crystals for everyone."

Finally revealing something not unwelcoming on her beautiful face, a small smile that is directed towards the five in front of her, the cold beauty said with her tone becoming lighter as well, allowing the five to sigh in relief as they felt that they just dodged a disaster about to come for them, allowing them to stand up from their spot with peace in their minds.

"Also, is there anything else any of you would like to say about his current state?" before they can start to move out of this room though, their steps are once again interrupted by the person they are all calling Mistress, her question something that confuses them yet they still tried their best to answer as well.

"He’s... a monster, Mistress. I have never seen a second-floor ascender moving so peculiarly like that, and not to mention being peculiar, just his raw power alone is overwhelming, I even suspect he has a way to somehow break through the stats limitation of the tower..."

As she starts explaining those words, the leader also pauses every once in a while in order to allow her members to insert their thoughts about this as well, all of their words being listened to by the cold beauty with a smile on her face, and yet, the last one among them to speak piques her interest the most.

"Aside from all of that talent, he’s pretty much ruthless as well, Mistress..." the last among the five said, causing the other four to start feeling like they just stepped onto a massive trap, silently shaking their head in lament as they realized that this youngest one among them isn’t really aware of the thing going on between their mistress and the target they were ordered to observe.

"M-mistress, about that, please forgive Lyra for—" braving what could possibly be a scary punishment for them, the leader of this group starts moving in front, planning to protect the youngest among them from the ’punishment’ they are about to suffer from, but her words were immediately stopped as she heard their Mistress’ melodious voice seemingly filled with interest.

"Hoh~? Lyra, tell me more about it~" now finally revealing an interested smile far brighter than when she was listening to the previous reports, the cold beauty asked, and the innocent youngest just decided to go on and start telling everything in her mind.

"Well, he brutally killed another group following him from a distance, and the way he killed them is just, well, gruesome, even sister Hailey, who clearly saw a lot of things already, is shaking in fear while watching him deal with that group."

The youngest pointed out, her words were something that all the other four could agree with, but was too scared to speak about in fear of their Mistress, the very same mistress becoming more interested in the young lady’s report, particularly when she heard about another group eyeing her target.

"This other group... did you find out anything about their identity?" already having an inkling of who it could possibly be, the cold beauty still asked, still feeling disappointed despite already knowing that her subordinates would shake their heads.

"The only thing that we confirmed is that whoever it is that is behind those group, they call their superior as Leader, Mistress" the leader of this group, the lady named Hailey said, this little piece of information already more than enough for the cold beauty to figure out who is it that is behind that other spying group, making the smile leave on her face as she starts feeling angered and frustrated.

"I see... that’s more than enough, Hailey, you can all return to do your own business now, I expect all of you to reach stat limits before the next attempt on the Temple of Despair starts" the cold beauty replied earning nod of acknowledgement from the five, nodding at them as well before she raises one of her hands waving it as if shooing them, making the five of them smile as they left the room.

"Azrael... are you still avoiding me?" looking at the wine glass as she swirls its content, the cold beauty mutters to herself before she takes another sip of the liquid, looking at the skies through the window in the room before she releases a soft, melancholic sigh.
