Seeing Lan Xuanyu so confident and composed, the others couldn’t help but feel more assured. Although they still didn’t understand exactly what Lan Xuanyu was planning, none of them felt the need to ask. Overthinking was just too exhausting—better to leave all that to him.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Everyone instinctively turned to look.

“It’s Yuge,” Lan Xuanyu reassured them. He stepped forward and opened the door.

Tang Yuge, cloaked and without the help of the Treasure Seeking Beast, entered the room looking completely human. She had emerged directly from underground, but since the room was sealed, she had to knock.

“What’s the situation?” Lan Xuanyu asked after closing the door.

“There’s more than one treasure vault, and they’re massive. But we can’t get in. All the vault walls are rigged with extremely sensitive defense systems—any kind of contact sets off alarms. It’s a bit tricky,” Tang Yuge replied.

Lan Xuanyu pulled up an electronic map and said, “No rush. Just record the locations of the vaults you found today, and we’ll take our time planning.”

While Lan Xuanyu and the others attended the auction, Tang Yuge had used her elemental tunneling technique to search for the mineral trading center’s warehouses.

Those warehouses were bound to contain a huge amount of minerals—real treasure troves!

However, after meeting Huang Yuanlang, Lan Xuanyu realized that the top-tier treasures wouldn’t be stored there. So, he adjusted his plans accordingly and decided not to act rashly.

Plans must always adapt to changing circumstances, shifting toward the most favorable outcomes.

“Alright, let’s all get some rest. Tomorrow is still important for us. Liangpu should be back by then—he’s already found a buyer.”

Thanks to the trace of Divine Sense left by the Treasure Seeking Beast, Lan Xuanyu could always sense Liangpu’s status. Of course, he wouldn’t just hand over the metals forged by humans to anyone. He chose Liangpu because he could control him.

After taking turns freshening up, everyone found a spot to sit and meditate. Lan Xuanyu, meanwhile, sat on the sofa and closed his eyes to rest.

Constantly adjusting and executing plans was mentally exhausting. Fortunately, his spiritual power was now incredibly strong.

In fact, ever since they left the Seventh Fleet and entered the Dragon-Horse Galaxy, Lan Xuanyu had been acting with utmost caution. While the military might have seen his actions as daring, he himself considered them extremely careful.

Only once had things slipped from his control—when they believed the Thirty-Three Sky Wings warship had been destroyed by the Spaceborne Clan. Otherwise, Lan Xuanyu would never have destroyed the Spaceborne Clan’s Space Origin Crystal storage facility, causing a massive explosion on Dragon-Horse Planet Seventy-Six.

After the explosion, he didn’t regret it—regret had no meaning. What was done could not be undone.

So he changed his plans and decided to come to Celestial Dragon Planet. This decision was directly tied to the explosion; otherwise, he would’ve tried to return to their fleet first.

Coming to Celestial Dragon Planet wasn’t just about gathering resources and seeking opportunities. He had a more important, fundamental goal for this trip—one that he absolutely had to achieve.

But once on Celestial Dragon Planet, the local situation prompted him to adjust his plans again. The presence of the dragon race made infiltration surprisingly easy and even offered them a chance to rise to power.

What attracted Lan Xuanyu most about Celestial Dragon Planet were its abundant resources. These weren’t just valuable for them—they would be immensely important to the entire Douluo Federation.

All his efforts were aimed at acquiring these resources. He knew full well that once their year-long fleet mission ended and they returned to Shrek Academy’s Inner Court, they’d be competing for spots among the next generation of Shrek’s Seven Monsters.

He could easily imagine how powerful the current Inner Court seniors were. While they were among the most outstanding students in the Outer Court in centuries, that only applied while they were in the Outer Court. They didn’t even know who their competitors in the Inner Court would be, or how long they’d been there. But one thing was certain—they were the weakest team. Their candidacy was granted due to their potential.

Lan Xuanyu had once told Admiral Yu Muchen: he would become one of the Shrek Seven Monsters.

As more of his background came to light, this belief only grew stronger. But how would he achieve that? By relying on Tang Le’s legacy? That wasn’t what Lan Xuanyu wanted.

He wanted to earn it with his own strength—not just for himself, but for his teammates too. They were a team, and they would become the Seven Monsters together.

No doubt, this was incredibly difficult—even Lan Xuanyu wasn’t confident. But he had to try.

And what was the quickest way to grow stronger? From the moment he entered Shrek Academy, he knew the answer: resources.

Everyone’s cultivation required resources—the more, the faster. That was an unchanging truth.

Without the life energy from Sea God Lake, the Rebirth Fruit, the wealth of resources from the School of Life, or the Ice-Fire Yin-Yang Well on Senluo Planet, would he have broken through to five-ring and reached a level comparable to an eight-ring Soul Douluo? Of course not!

So Lan Xuanyu always understood: in today’s cultivation world, strength depended on resources. With enough, cultivation was merely a matter of digestion.

And their ability to digest resources was very fast—what mattered was having enough of them.

This was a huge issue, both for their group of seven and for the rest of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings. Though they’d all entered the Inner Court, teachers like Ying Luohong and Wang Tianyu had already subtly expressed the Inner Court’s resource strain. Having so many newcomers had sparked complaints from other Outer Court faculty. The Inner Court only honored the agreement due to their great merits.

Their deployment to the military, in a way, was also to ease tensions within the academy.

Originally, even Lan Xuanyu himself thought he might not be able to support all his teammates in the future—his capabilities and the academy’s resources were limited.

But after leaving the Federation and seeing the wider universe, his perspective changed. He realized that in the cosmos, resources were never truly scarce—they were boundless. The real challenge was how to obtain them.

When he saw all that Magic Silver and Space Origin Crystal on Dragon-Horse Planet Seventy-Six, and the riches of Celestial Dragon Planet, a new thought took root: If Shrek Academy can’t support the Thirty-Three Sky Wings, I will.

As long as he could obtain enough resources, he could turn them into power. That was his goal now.

The Space Worm had already laid the foundation—what he needed now was an identity on Celestial Dragon Planet, one that could continuously grant them access to resources.

Stockpile resources, convert them into strength. Next time, things would go much more smoothly.

As they grew stronger, and neared god-level cultivation, everything would change. With enough resources, they would have a real shot at becoming the next Shrek Seven Monsters.
