Demonic Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 355: Kryssia and Strax meet again.

Xenovia remained in his arms for a moment, absorbing Strax's security and warmth, as if he were the only solid thing in a world that was falling apart. Her breathing was still heavy, but there was something comforting about the contact. As desperate as the situation was, she felt that she was finally where she was supposed to be.

"I... I didn't know if I could stand it any longer," Xenovia murmured, her voice a little hoarse, still full of emotion. "That prison... the magic, the pain... it was harder than I imagined."

Strax squeezed a little tighter, as if his words were a reminder of everything he had done to bring her back. "Now you're free, sister. And nothing will ever keep us apart again."

Tiamat and Ouroboros approached, their watchful gazes observing the scene with a mixture of respect and vigilance. The battlefield now seemed quiet, the dust still rising from the ground, but the tension in the air was palpable. The impact of the destructive blasts still echoed in the ruins of the palace, but nothing seemed capable of interrupting this moment.

"I knew the liberation would be... dramatic," Tiamat said with a subtle smile, her golden eyes shining with an unsettling softness. "But now, it's time to leave."

"Yes, staying here is an unnecessary risk. Fighting now would complicate matters even more," Ouroboros added, his deep voice filled with a cold certainty. He observed the atmosphere around them, realizing that the tense atmosphere was about to explode again.

Strax, still holding Xenovia in his arms, looked at her with a serious countenance. "Now that you're free, sister, we need to deal with what's coming. Can you fight?" He didn't need to ask, but the situation demanded a direct answer. His tone was serious, but the concern in his eyes reflected the weight of the whole scenario.

Xenovia raised her head, her eyes now more focused, the traces of exhaustion still visible, but her expression was one of pure determination. She had no more time for weakness. "Give me a few minutes. I've already started restoring my mana." Her words were charged with strength, and Strax could feel the growing energy inside her, even if it was still unstable.

He watched her in silence for a moment, his eyes assessing the situation. Despite the worry that consumed her, he knew that she had prepared for this moment. "Don't worry," he said, his voice softening but maintaining an unwavering firmness. "We'll get out of here, all of us. And then we'll face whatever comes."

But before anyone could react, the piercing sound of a scream filled the air, followed by the sound of armor clashing. The weight of heavy footsteps and military coordination approaching her made the tension grow even faster.

"STOP!!!" The voice echoed across the devastated terrain, reverberating with the authority of someone used to commanding. The army was on the move, a large formation of soldiers, armed to the teeth, surrounding the prison with military precision. There was no longer any escape from an imminent battle.

Strax's gaze hardened, and he stood up, adjusting his posture like a leader who knew what he needed to do. "Get ready," he muttered to Xenovia. "We have no choice." He turned to Tiamat and Ouroboros, giving them a silent order.

Without a warning, Ouroboros and Tiamat leapt forward, their bodies twisting in the air with the grace and ferocity of dragons about to tear the sky apart. The earth shook under the weight of what was about to happen. In an instant, the two transformed, their imposing forms covering the battlefield with overwhelming force.

Tiamat, her golden scales shining like the sun, launched herself at the soldiers with a thunderous roar. She opened her mouth, unleashing a blast of golden fire that set fire to everything in its path. The soldiers' screams of terror were drowned out by the crushing heat of the explosion, as the fire devoured the enemy lines.

Next to him, Ouroboros tore through the air with his open mouth, releasing a blast of pure energy that disintegrated everything in front of him. The explosive energy devastated the nearest soldiers, and the ground around them crumbled in a spectacle of pure destruction.

The army, seemingly immense, now found itself powerless in the face of the overwhelming might of the two dragons. The earth was covered in fire, smoke and the echoes of distant screams as Tiamat and Ouroboros danced across the battlefield, destroying any resistance that dared to approach.

The battlefield was in total chaos. Tiamat and Ouroboros advanced without mercy, their presence dominating the terrain, while the soldiers were thrown from side to side by the fury of the dragons. Tiamat moved like a golden storm, her claws tearing through the air and cutting through the enemy lines with precision. His bursts of fire scorched the soldiers, and the wave of heat emanating from his body made even the ground crack under the pressure.

Ouroboros, with his serpentine form, snaked around his enemies, unleashing devastating attacks with his tail and roaring with power. He launched bursts of black energy, devastating the ranks of the army with each blow. Its claws tore through armor like paper, and its speed meant that the soldiers barely had time to react before they were slaughtered.

However, the fight soon took an unexpected turn.

Out of the smoke and rubble, a figure quickly materialized. Kryssia, with her cold and imposing presence, appeared in the air, a spear of ice glittering in her hands. With astonishing speed, she threw the spear straight towards Ouroboros. The spear cut through the air like a bolt of lightning and, before the dragon could dodge, the sharp point pierced his body with brutal force.

Ouroboros let out a roar of pain, his large form shaking with the impact. The ice spear had penetrated deep into his flesh, causing his energy to be temporarily channeled and hampering his movements. He squirmed, but before he could react, Kryssia appeared in front of him with supernatural agility.

With one swift movement, she swung her ice sword and cut off part of Ouroboros' body. The ice crackled as it came into contact with the dragon's dark flesh, tearing off a significant chunk of its scales and causing the dragon to roar in pain. The pain was intense, but Ouroboros' resistance was not to be underestimated.

Tiamat, realizing what was happening, advanced furiously, launching a blast of fire in Kryssia's direction, but the warrior was already moving, disappearing into the shadows with impressive speed.

Kryssia smiled, her eyes shining with the cold of battle. "It won't be so easy to defeat me, dragons." Her icy presence was now more evident than ever, like a reflection of the frozen ground around her.

The battlefield was about to become even more brutal.

With an immense leap, Strax left the prison behind, his claws slicing through the air as he carried Xenovia on his back. His dragon form instantly reconfigured itself, the body writhing and expanding until it reached its impressive oriental form, with vibrant red scales and flaming eyes. The air around him seemed to shudder with the pressure of his transformation.

"Kryssia!!!" Strax roared, his voice echoing like thunder, making even the ground shake.

The ice woman immediately froze, her icy blue eyes fixed on Strax. She instantly realized what he was carrying. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw Xenovia, exhausted but alive, in the red dragon's arms.

'That... is that the boy? He's at least twenty times stronger since I saw him...' Kryssia didn't move a muscle, but her posture stiffened. Her gaze became more penetrating, assessing the situation. The army around her remained silent, as if awaiting her orders.

"We didn't come here to fight." Strax spoke, his voice deep and laden with authority. "I just want to get my sister to safety." He raised his head, challenging Kryssia's icy gaze with an air of absolute power.

The tension between the two became palpable. Kryssia, with her icy, implacable eyes, stood still for a moment, evaluating his words. The silence hung for a long second, but the internal war between reason and duty was clearly burning inside her.

"You're playing with fire, Strax," Kryssia finally replied, her voice cold but with an ironic lightness. "But I'm not a fool. If your intention was simply to leave, you would have already gone."

With a grim smile and eyes glowing like embers, Strax looked at her, his immense dragon form still hovering in the air. "Are you stupid?" The question came out with a contemptuous intensity.

Kryssia widened her eyes, hardly believing Strax's words. "Heh?! What did you call me?" she asked, incredulity visible in her expression.

"You're fucking stupid!" Strax roared with a force so powerful that it made the ground beneath them shake. His voice was a wave of pressure, so intense that Kryssia felt her body being dragged backwards, forcing her to crawl along the ground. "What the fuck would I do here by choice? I only took my time because she was FUCKED, YOU FUCKING BITCH!" He shouted, his voice like thunder resounding across the field.

Kryssia shuddered at the shout and, with rising anger, tried to pull herself together. "Why you-"

"You're nothing!" Strax cut off her speech with the force of a storm. "I'm taking my sister, who was arrested for no reason. If you were her friend as you claim to be, you should know that!" He shouted, his fury overflowing, as if he were in a childish quarrel, but with the intensity of a hurricane.

"Of course I know that!!!" Kryssia shouted back, her patience running out, flustered and full of frustration. "What do you think I was doing? Trying to get her out of there! But you, you lunatic, decided to attack the royal palace!!!"

The air around them seemed to freeze, the tension rising with every word. Strax gritted his teeth, his claws glinting as he stared directly at Kryssia with lethal intensity. "Is your loyalty to the Kingdom or the Emperor?" He questioned, his voice sharp, the threat implicit in his words.

"Of course it's the Kingdom's!" Kryssia replied fiercely, without hesitation.

"So, by letting Xenovia go," Strax retorted, his voice now a relentless fury, "you're delaying the war!"
