Demonic Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 354: Freedom

Chapter 354: Freedom

Kallamos looked at Xenovia and Xyn, her eyes slightly glowing, ready to act. After all, she would gain a lot from this too—she needed a body! Her goal was to free Xenovia and end this. The faster, the sooner she would have a body.

"I'll call Strax. He's already with Tiamat and Ouroboros nearby, we should be back in a few minutes," she said, the tension in the air intensifying as she spoke those names. "If they're powerful enough to break this prison and end it all at once, stay here and be careful. Don't try to leave on your own."

Xenovia looked at Kallamos with a mix of distrust and hope but accepted the order without questioning. She knew that if anyone could save this situation, it was Strax... She trusted him more than her other brothers… well, part of that was because she was in love with him.

Xyn, however, kept his calculating gaze on Kallamos, looking at her with a bit more skepticism. "Don't forget that sealing magic is not easy to break. Even with all those powers, it'll take more than a simple blow. Tell them to use fire to melt this place."

Kallamos nodded, her expression unshaken. "I know. Just stay here and prepare. Try to stay in one of the corners so the attack won't hit you... Stay here and wait. It won't be long until he gets here." Kallamos spoke, and both nodded.

With those words, Kallamos turned and started moving away, her form dissolving into the shadows around her.

She advanced through the darkness, moving with the speed and precision of a shadow. Time was of the essence, so she focused on her magic, making each step purposeful. The palace felt denser as she moved away from the depths where Xenovia and Xyn were, and the shadows around her seemed to tighten as she approached the spot where Strax, Tiamat, and Ouroboros were.

The air was charged with power as Kallamos advanced, and soon, she saw the group. Strax was in the center, his red eyes glowing like a beacon of power, and around him, Tiamat and Ouroboros clung to his arm as though they depended on him... Well, nothing was out of place here. They were outside the palace in an alley between buildings.

"You're back faster than we expected," Strax said, his voice deep and filled with authority. "What happened?"

Kallamos didn't hesitate and approached Strax, her eyes fixed on him as she quickly explained the situation. "Xenovia is trapped in a magical cell in the palace's underground. The barrier around her is an ancient sealing magic, very powerful. I tried to break it, but I couldn't. I need you. Only you can destroy this magic, that's what that Black Phoenix said."

Strax furrowed his brow, his eyes glowing with intensity. "I see... Not even Xyn was able to break it? What's enveloping this prison?"

Kallamos looked at the ground for a moment, trying to organize her words. "Xyn believes the only way to break the prison is with Strax's swords. But... the swords no longer exist after you became alive. The spell is very complex, we don't know who cast it, but since it's ancient, a destructive attack might be able to break it."

Tiamat and Ouroboros exchanged a glance, the weight of the situation clear on their faces. Tiamat, with her imposing presence, spoke with a calm tension. "She wants us to use our combined fire, doesn't she? It must be that. She wants to burn through the resistance with high heat..."

Kallamos nodded and, with a determined expression, responded: "The only way I see to break the barrier now is by using your powers directly. If you can release the full potential of your forces, the sealing magic will be destroyed."

Strax looked at Kallamos for a moment, evaluating her. The tension between them was palpable, but he knew she wasn't asking for something trivial. "I understand. Then let's go. Prepare yourselves," Strax said, turning to Kallamos, "Thank you." He said, giving a light tap on the little dragon's head, "Go back to the spiritual realm, it will be dangerous," he commented, and she blushed.

Kallamos nodded, her heart racing, and vanished, returning to Strax's spiritual realm.

"Let's go," Strax said, his voice deep and resolute, his golden eyes burning with unrelenting intensity. He looked at Tiamat and Ouroboros, both ready to embark on a journey with no turning back.

"This will be seen as a declaration of war," Tiamat said, her voice calm but heavy with the wisdom and strength of a thousand years. She knew every move they made would have unimaginable consequences, but her loyalty to Strax and her determination to free Xenovia were stronger than any fear of retaliation.

"If it's for my sister, I'll burn this entire continent," Strax's words echoed with immense ferocity, and the air around him seemed to warp. He wasn't just a dragon; he was a being of pure destruction, ready to crush any obstacle that stood between him and Xenovia's freedom.

Without another word, Strax made the first move, his body contorting and growing in size, as if the very essence of the dragon was expanding beyond the limits of reality. His red scales shone brightly as the energy around him vibrated, the power becoming almost tangible.

Suddenly, Strax's body twisted, like a serpent about to strike. His limbs vanished, and his body elongated, stretching out into a massive serpentine form, his dragon head now imposing, with golden horns and eyes glowing like miniature suns. Strax's red scales, which had once gleamed with the intensity of primordial fire, now reflected an aura of immeasurable power, as though the very fire of the world burned in his veins. His wings, which hadn't existed before, formed as iridescent membranes, more like extensions of his own body—something more ethereal than the wings of an ordinary dragon.

"Let's go," Strax's voice echoed, more powerful than ever, reverberating through the earth like thunder heralding a storm of fire and chaos. He was ready to destroy anything in his path, to free his sister and obliterate everything that dared challenge his mission.

Tiamat, watching Strax's transformation, didn't hesitate. She raised her head, her own energy intensifying as she prepared to follow her leader. With an agile and graceful movement, she leapt into the air, her body beginning to shine with radiant gold. Her golden scales gleamed even more brightly, as if forged in the very sun. But unlike Strax, Tiamat retained the form of a classic dragon—her wings spread majestically, her powerful legs and tail coiling behind her. She didn't have Strax's fluidity, but her presence was equally formidable. With a deep, proud roar, Tiamat rose, more imposing than ever, her wings slicing through the air with deadly precision.

Beside her, Ouroboros began his transformation. His body, already possessing a threatening elegance, began to twist and grow. Unlike Tiamat, Ouroboros wasn't a conventional dragon. His form was more fluid, resembling that of a giant serpent, but with a touch of ancient power. His black scales spread like a cloak of shadows, reflecting the darkness around him. His claws, sharper than any dragon's, gleamed with a sinister light. He was a fusion of everything that feared both light and darkness, a being capable of distorting reality to his will.

With a spiraling movement, Ouroboros transformed completely. His wings, nearly nonexistent, were made of pure magical energy, as if his presence were an extension of the void. His body was serpentine, elongated and fluid, able to twist in any direction like a gigantic shadow snake. His eyes gleamed with a purple light, a flame of controlled destruction, and his tail slithered through the air with immortal grace. He was not just a black dragon but a creature of pure annihilation, existing between the boundaries of the real and the fantastical.

With a deafening roar, Strax, Tiamat, and Ouroboros emerged into the sky above the palace, their colossal forms casting immense shadows over the ground. Kallamos had marked the location with her spiritual energy, and now they hovered over their target, like a storm about to descend.

Without hesitation, Strax was the first to attack. He opened his massive mouth and, with a roar of pure destruction, shot a blast of infernal fire. The red flame hurled toward the palace, tearing through the air with its intensity, consuming everything in its path.

Tiamat followed closely behind, releasing a golden blast that cut through the sky. Her energy was purer, but equally devastating, with the force of ancestral power capable of melting any magical barrier.

Ouroboros, with his threatening presence, focused his energy into a beam of pure darkness. He fired it from his mouth, a black, murky blast that seemed to consume the light around it, destroying everything in its wake.

The three blasts collided against the palace at the same time, creating a colossal explosion. The impact reverberated through the city, toppling walls, destroying towers, and cracking the foundations. The palace shook, its foundations torn apart by the waves of destructive energy.

The underground prison, located beneath the castle's foundations, was obliterated by the explosion. Rocks and debris flew in all directions, while a scorching heat rose from the ruins, contrasting with the ice that enveloped parts of the structure.

In the center of the chaos, three figures emerged from the dust and destruction: Strax, Tiamat, and Ouroboros, now in their human forms but still exuding an overwhelming presence.

Amid the rubble stood Xenovia.

Her purple hair was covered in dirt and blood, her clothes torn, but her eyes... her eyes burned with an indescribable fury. The magic around her pulsed uncontrollably, like a hurricane about to devastate everything in its path.

"How long has it been, sister?" Strax said, smiling.

"Hello, little one," Xyn said, taking flight and landing on Strax's shoulder. "Looks like our plan worked. She'll be free soon."

"Everything's in order," Strax said, looking at his sister. "What's wrong? You're not going to say anything?" He smiled.

Without wasting any time, she simply leaped into his arms. "I've missed you so much…" she murmured, her voice trembling as the first tears began to fall.

"So sweet," he whispered, pulling her into a tight embrace.
