Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse

Chapter 421 29 - Schooling with kids

Skyy slumped in the passenger seat, his arms crossed tightly over his chest as he poutingly gazed at Chen.

The other man, focused on the road ahead, remained silent, the tension palpable in the car.

"I swear, Chen, I didn't write any of that stuff about you in the diary," Skyy protested, his voice tinged with frustration. "It just appeared out of nowhere."

Chen scoffed softly, his expression unreadable as he continued driving.

Skyy's frustration grew, but he knew Chen well enough to understand that pressing further would likely be futile.

As the car rolled to a stop in front of a small, dilapidated building emitting bustling sounds, Skyy's curiosity piqued despite his lingering frustration. He peered out the window, trying to catch a glimpse of their surroundings.

"What is this place?" Skyy asked, his tone a mixture of apprehension and intrigue.

Chen finally spoke, his voice calm but tinged with a hint of mystery. "This is where we'll find some answers."

"answers? Answers to what?" Skyy's curiosity only intensified as they stepped out of the car and approached the building. The worn exterior gave little indication of what lay inside, but Skyy's heart raced with anticipation.

As they entered, Skyy's senses were assaulted by a cacophony of sounds and smells. People moved about, their voices overlapping in a symphony of conversation. Skyy glanced at Chen, but the older man remained stoic, his gaze fixed ahead.

Inside the dilapidated building, Skyy's eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. The spacious room was filled with children, seated obediently in rows. The younger ones occupied the front rows, while the older children sat towards the back. Skyy estimated the oldest to be around ten years old, and they all turned their curious gazes towards him as he entered with Chen.

Feeling a mix of uncertainty and fascination, Skyy instinctively moved closer to Chen, seeking comfort and guidance. He whispered behind Chen's back, his voice barely audible over the murmur of the other children, "What is this place?"

Chen chuckled softly, his gaze warm as he glanced down at Skyy. "It's a school. You mentioned before that you couldn't read, right? Well, here you can learn everything you want."

Skyy's eyes widened with excitement and disbelief. "Really? I can learn here?"

Chen nodded, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Yes, really. You can learn to read, write, and as MUCH AS YOU WANT."

Skyy couldn't shake the feeling that Chen's comment was tinged with sarcasm, especially as he looked around at the child-sized furniture and the colorful decorations adorning the walls. As Chen nudged him further into the room, Skyy couldn't help but voice his doubt in a hushed whisper.

"But there's no one my size here," Skyy muttered, his brows furrowed in uncertainty.

Chen simply shrugged, his tone casual as he whispered back, "You'll have to adjust then."

Reluctantly, Skyy followed Chen's lead, stepping further into the room. A middle-aged man, who appeared to be the teacher, approached them with a kind smile.

"I heard you're the new addition to our base. Welcome," the teacher greeted warmly.

Skyy managed a small nod in response, feeling a mixture of nerves and curiosity coursing through him.

"He's here to learn to read. Teach him from the ABC's," Chen instructed the teacher.

The teacher's expression shifted to one of surprise. "He doesn't know the ABC's?"

Skyy bristled at the implication that he was ignorant, shooting a glare up at Chen. "Hey! I know how to read, just not how to write!"

Chen fought to suppress a smile, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "No, he 'apparently' doesn't know how to write. Start with the ABC's and make him write everything."

"No, he 'apparently' doesn't know how to write. Start with the ABC's and make him write everything," Chen said with a smirk, pulling out a small child-sized chair and gesturing for Skyy to sit.

Skyy's eyes widened in disbelief as he gazed at the tiny chairs. There was no way his backside would fit in one of those. He could already imagine getting stuck if he attempted to sit down. While he wanted to learn to write, the idea of trying to read and write in a classroom filled with delicate children seemed daunting.

Subtly nudging Chen's shirt, Skyy whispered, "Can we go back home, please? I don't need writing skills. I can live without it." his voice tinged with pleading.

Chen simply shook his head, his expression firm. "No, YOU wanted to learn, so you must. Plus, I don't want any lazy bums in my base. You have to put in the effort to learn," he replied, gently but firmly pushing Skyy into the chair.

Skyy gazed up at him, cheeks flushing with embarrassment as he struggled to fit comfortably into the tiny chair. "At least get me a big chair, huh?"

"Sorry, buddy, but you'll have to make do with what you've got. No special treatment here," Chen said with a wide grin on his face, his eyes sparkling mischievously.

Skyy realized instantly that this was Chen's way of getting back at him for that diary entry. "You're so mean," he muttered under his breath, resigning himself to the discomfort of the small chair with a huge pout.

Chen burst into laughter, clutching his stomach as he watched Skyy's reaction. "I'll pick you up by evening. Make new friends, okay?" he said, giving Skyy a playful pat on the top of his head before walking out with a happy bounce in his step.

Skyy glared at Chen's retreating figure, feeling a mix of annoyance and amusement. "He is so petty," he muttered to himself, shaking his head in disbelief.

The teacher laughed out loud. "Here, take this chair," he kindly offered, gesturing towards his own chair.

Skyy looked up at him gratefully, 'god I don't have to sit in this small chair.'

"Thank you," he said, standing up and preparing to change chairs. But as he stood, the chair clung stubbornly to his backside, rising along with him.

Eyes widening in panic, Skyy tried to pry the chair away, but it remained firmly stuck to his butt.

The entire classroom instantly erupted into laughter, the kids pointing and giggling as they teased him about having a "fat ass" and various other jokes.

Skyy's face burned with shame as he struggled to free himself from the embarrassing predicament. 'Zou Chen!!! I hate you so much,' he shouted silently in his mind.
