"What the hell?" Max almost shouted with an incredulous expression on his face.

He rubbed his eyes over and over and swallowed hard with his heart beating very fast: Holy shit! That IS a damn System?"

While Max was unbelieving, very loud knocking sounds echoed outside his apartment. He quickly got out of bed and realized that there was no power. Although he was perplexed, Max didn't think much of it and looked outside through the peephole in the door.

"Hmm? Who the hell is this idiot? Why is he knocking on Mrs. Luna's door so hard?" Max asked with a frown on his face and opened the door.

Mrs. Luna is his beautiful neighbor, she is a very beautiful and hot widow with a daughter who are only 3 years old! Every now and then, Max plays a little with the little girl in the park near the building.

He has a very good impression of this mother and daughter pair, seeing the two being bullied made him very angry..

"Hey idiot..." Max said angrily as soon as he opened the door, but his pupils shrank fiercely the next moment..

The Man turned his head towards Max, who was very shocked to see the numbers and the words above his head and the dried blood staining his clothes. Just like the ones in the movies and series, the Zombie in front of Max has pieces of flesh from his body missing.

The Zombie roared furiously with his blood red eyes shining. He then charged at Max in a very frightening speed.

"Fuck!" Max cursed and delivered a spinning kick to the Zombie's chest with all his strength.

The Zombie crashed with great force against the wall, getting stuck in it and its HP went from 500 to 0 instantly..

Max was speechless and in the next moment he felt a gentle wave of Energy enter his body and disappear somewhere..

He quickly opened his Status screen and saw that the percentage bar next to the Level increased to 12%. Max looked at the Zombie stuck in the wall and muttered in a low voice: Shit! What the hell is going on?"

"I guess I better ask Mrs. Luna." He shook his head after thinking a little more and knocked on the door in front of him softly.

"Mrs. Luna, it's me, Max.."

On the other side of the door.

A beautiful middle-aged woman with long blonde hair and a very pretty, but also very pale face, could be seen huddled in a corner of the room hugging a beautiful, extremely pale and skinny little girl.

The beautiful woman and the little girl both flinched when they heard the loud noises outside and were very surprised when everything went back to silence.

"Mrs. Luna, it's me, Max.."

"Is that the big brother?" The little girl's beautiful blue eyes shone with joy and hope.

Luna was also very surprised e looked at her daughter: Stay here.."

She then stood up and looked outside through the peephole in the door and saw Max's ordinary face. Luna let out a small sigh of relief and opened the door door..

"Why are you so skinny?" Max was shocked to see Luna's current state.

From an extremely graceful woman to a very thin woman with skin pale and sickly. Luna looked around and paled when saw the Zombie stuck to the wall: "Was.. you the one who did this?"

"Yes?" Max scratched his head and nodded with a somewhat strange expression.

Luna swallowed hard and looked at Max meaningfully: Come in quickly, It's not safe outside..."

Max nodded and was about to enter, but he stopped after seeing a bright red Box on the ground below the place where the Zombie's corpse was stuck..

"That's it..." Max's mouth fell open and in the next moment, he found himself back outside Luna's apartment.

"What happened?" Luna was very surprised to see his distracted gaze.

"Nothing..." Max shook his head and entered her apartment.

He was a little sad when he saw the super cute little girl who called him big brother in a situation almost the same as Luna.

"Big brother!" The little girl screamed loudly with teary eyes shining with happiness and jumped on him.

Max picked her up with precision and care and hugged her: My little Li~"

"Big brother! I'm so scared!" The little girl started crying on Max's chest, who patted the head her and comforted her gently.

Luna watched from the side with a soft gaze, Max could be considered a good friend of hers. She looked at the tall and strong Max with shining eyes and felt an unprecedented sense of security! Luna was shocked when she saw the corpse of a Zombie stuck to the wall and knew that it was Max who did it.

"What happened? How could there be a Zombie outside?" After comforting little Lina, Max looked at Luna and asked with a frown on his face.

"You don't know?" Luna asked back with a strange expression.

"What?" Max questioned.

"What were you doing in the last month?" Luna couldn't help but ask with a frown on her face.

Max widened her eyes: Last month? I just woke up.."

"What? You slept for a whole month? How the hell is that possible!" Luna almost screamed out loud.

Little Lina listened to the two's conversation in silence with a confused expression. Max scratched his head with a confused look: I guess so? I don't know what happened in the last month.."

'Did I really sleep for a whole month because of my Awakening?'

If that was really the case, Max assumed that all the Awakened also had to sleep for a while to obtain their System... but isn't sleeping for a month a bit too much?

"Explain everything you know to me..." Max looked at Luna with a solemn expression.

"Yes..." Luna nodded and sat down on the couch with little Lina on her lap.
