Ancestral Wealth Inheritance System

Chapter 503: 503

Chapter 503: 503

“Brother Fang’s financial resources are truly astonishing!” Natu roughly estimated that the price of this spaceship must be calculated in trillions of Cosmic Credits. No wonder shelling out ten billion Cosmic Credits seemed as casual as spending ten.

“It’s not a big deal, just some small business my elders handle. It doesn’t have much to do with me.”

“That’s impressive enough,” Natu said. “Although my father controls a third-level civilization, he probably wouldn’t even splurge on a spaceship like this. Regardless of whose money it is, being able to use it is your capability.”

Natu soon completed his spaceship’s registration. His third-level civilization was a vassal of the Morall Civilization, so he had a long-term parking membership here.

Following the track elevator, the two headed towards the city below. Meanwhile, Natu’s four bodyguards remained closely behind him. Their attitude towards Fang Jueyu had shifted from indifference to caution, knowing their young master wanted to associate with him, they dared not take him lightly.

As expected of the home planet of a fourth-level civilization, Morall Planet was endlessly bustling. Its buildings, transportation, and everything else were beyond what Earth could achieve even after millions of years of development.

“By the way, Brother Fang, did you come to Morall Planet alone?” Natu asked casually.

“Oh, and this dog,” Fang Jueyu said, grabbing Er Gouzi’s front legs and lifting it up.

“Brother Fang, your pet doesn’t seem simple.”

Even when beating a dog, people consider its owner. Previously, Natu thought Fang Jueyu was just a human from a minor civilization, so he assumed Er Gouzi was merely a lowly pet.

But now he had reasons to believe this black creature, ugly as it was, must have extraordinary lineage. After all, the universe was vast and contained all sorts of beings.

“Hahaha, this guy is indeed something,” Fang Jueyu said. “This pet is a gift from my father, and apart from being good at fighting, it has no other skills unless stirring up trouble counts, of course.”

If he knew that Er Gouzi’s true identity was that of a fearsome Soul-devouring Beast, he might have been scared enough to jump off the track elevator, right?

“But I don’t quite understand, Brother Fang. Your background must be extraordinary, so why did you come to the Morall System with just your pet?” Natu asked. Though his Silver Winged Demon was pretty safe, hardly encountering any danger while traveling in space.

But here, it was different. In bright places, darkness lurked. If someone discovered Fang Jueyu’s wealth, he could easily encounter danger without protection.

“Oh, some of my elders stayed on Morall Planet for a while and made some connections, so I just came alone,” Fang Jueyu replied.

“I see,” Natu nodded, thinking Fang Jueyu must know some impressive figures on Morall Planet.

Even Natu’s bodyguards were Divine Ability Users, so the people Fang Jueyu knew were likely not below that level. It was rumored that Morall Planet’s martial schools had some Controller-level teachers; who knows if he knew anyone like that?

“Brother Fang, are you also here for the Cosmic Slave Fair?”

“Yes, it seems Brother Natu is here for it too.” Fang Jueyu laughed. “But we seem to have arrived a bit early; there’s over a month until the fair!”

“Early? No, no, not early at all!” Natu shook his head. “Brother Fang, this must be your first time attending such an event, right?”

Fang Jueyu nodded.

“Hahaha, so you must not know that the Cosmic Slave Fair is an official event hosted by Morall Planet. However, before the fair, black market traders begin to stir, selling some unsavory slaves.”

“What do you mean by unsavory slaves?” Fang Jueyu asked, puzzled.

“Cosmic Federation fugitives,” Natu explained. “Some terrifying fugitives get captured by slave traders during their escape and are sold. If it’s brought to light, it would be seized by the Cosmic Federation Prison for sure, and that would be a huge loss!”

“Why, is controlling slaves that costly?”

“Of course! Whether through technology or magic runes, controlling a slave costs nearly 30% of the slave’s selling price. Imagine if it’s seized before sale, who would you complain to?” Natu added. “Oh, the Cosmic Federation might grant you an outstanding citizen medal.”

“Ugh, how come this style resembles Earth’s so much?” Fang Jueyu showed a peculiar expression.

“And some slaves belong to powerful cosmic races. If they find out their kin were captured and sold as slaves, in their anger, even the Morall Civilization might not withstand it!” Natu said seriously.

“Don’t underestimate some seemingly irrelevant civilizations with small populations; their potential is immense, with each individual possessing strong martial artist potential. Once a race called the Blade Civilization sent two Transcenders that destroyed a fourth-level civilization outright!”

“Whoa~” Both the power of a fourth-level civilization and the strength of Transcenders amazed Fang Jueyu.

“Do you know why? It was because a Blade Clan member was captured and controlled by slave traders. The information leaked, and finally, those two Blade Clan Transcenders killed everyone involved before stopping. Not even the Cosmic Federation could stop them.”

“So powerful!” Fang Jueyu’s eyes twinkled with fiery admiration. In this universe, strength reigned supreme. He wondered if any of his ancestors had reached the Transcender level.

“I came here under my father’s orders to purchase a batch of slaves,” Natu leaned closer to Fang Jueyu’s ear. “Generally, black market slaves are cheaper than those sold through official channels, yet the quality is just as good. I plan to make some middleman profit!”

“Hahaha!” Fang Jueyu laughed. Natu was quite amusing.

“Brother Fang, meeting you is fate. Interested in checking out the black market? I’ll show you the ropes. I imagine someone like you, who’s never been short of money, hasn’t been to such places.”

“Sure!” Fang Jueyu was quite curious.

“But first, we need to hit the bank—I need to convert my planet’s currency to Morall currency! A 1:20 exchange rate, that’s the civilization gap, sigh…”

“I need to exchange some too,” Fang Jueyu said.

“Of course, only Morall Currency can be used for exchange here,” Natu added. “But Brother Fang, if you’re from a civilization outside Morall’s, you’ll lose quite a bit at the exchange, as not all civilizations interact with each other.”

“I understand,” Fang Jueyu nodded. Just like two Earth countries with no trade relations, their currency would be negligible to each other, as it’s rarely used.

Fang Jueyu showed a bit of unease, “But I only have a Cosmic Bank account, and all I have are Cosmic Credits, with no other civilization’s currency. Can I exchange them directly?”

“All Cosmic Credits?” Natu gasped, “Your planet doesn’t use Cosmic Credits as circulating currency, does it?”

“Sort… sort of…”

“Whoa! There are barely any cosmic civilizations that use Cosmic Credits as circulating currency.” Natu exclaimed, “Brother Fang, I’m in awe. Today, I’ve witnessed what true Cosmic Level family prowess is like…”
