Chapter 755: 259. Father and Son Love and Hatred_2

In addition, Donnie was subject to this kind of attack as well!

George Louis nodded and said, “Understood. Please rest assured, after receiving your call yesterday, I have already taken care of these matters.”

Aman Louis nodded, then glanced at his watch and frowned, “Why hasn’t Sophia arrived yet?”

Sophia Thomson is the daughter of Aman Louis and is married to the famous real estate businessman Russell Thomson from New Jersey.

As the words fell, a richly-dressed middle-aged woman walked in with a swaying gait.

Without any courtesy, she sat down on the sofa and said with a voice too coquettish for her age, “Daddy, why did you ask me to come so early? I haven’t even woken up yet!”

...

“Hmph!” Confronted with Sophia Thomson’s attitude, Arman Louis snorted and said, “If you weren’t my daughter, do you think you could have the life you have now? Not woken up yet? By this time, you should already be preparing breakfast for your family!”

Sophia Thomson’s face showed a slight change. She hadn’t expected her father to be so stern, but she was used to speaking casually with him.

She turned to George Louis and asked, “What’s wrong with Daddy? Who made him angry?”

George Louis did not answer her question.

“So, you forgot about the matter I entrusted to you yesterday?”

Aman Louis asked loudly.

“No, no!” Sophia Thomson quickly answered, “I haven’t forgotten. Isn’t it just to be careful? Daddy, you know I never cause trouble!”

Aman Louis snorted coldly. He knew his daughter well. She claimed she hadn’t caused trouble over the years—probably only she believed that. Over the years, he had used his wealth and power to smooth out countless issues for his daughter, too many for him to count.

If there was anything that truly worried Aman Louis, it was Sophia Thomson. His daughter had too many scandals associated with her!

Fortunately, with his understanding of his daughter, Aman Louis had already dealt with the most critical scandals yesterday.

“Alright, let’s have breakfast!”

Aman Louis got up from the sofa, casually picking up the “Atlantic City Post” from the table.

Although “Atlantic City Post” currently did not have the nationwide influence of publications like “Wall Street Journal,” “The Washington Post,” or “The New York Times,” in New Jersey, it was already the most influential newspaper!

George Louis and Sophia Thomson also got up, with Sophia Thomson thinking of getting a thorough massage after breakfast.

The two siblings had taken only a few steps when they realized that Aman Louis was not following them.

George Louis turned around and saw his father standing there, looking at “The Washington Post” in his hands.

“Daddy?”

George Louis called out.

Aman Louis looked up, his piercing gaze making George Louis feel a shiver in his heart.

“What’s happened?”

George Louis asked cautiously.

Aman Louis pointed at George Louis with one hand and said, “Didn’t I tell you to behave yourself these days? Can you not control your own legs?”

After speaking, Aman Louis forcefully tossed the newspaper at George Louis. The paper didn’t reach George Louis’s hands, it merely flew briefly before landing on the carpet.

George Louis hurriedly picked up the newspaper, only to see that the headline on the supplement of the “Atlantic City Post” was a photo of a twenty-something girl latching onto his arm as they entered a hotel.

George Louis was already married, had even had his own son, and his son was about the same age as the girl in the photo. This girl was not the woman he married after his divorce; thus, she was one of his mistresses!

“Tsk, I thought it was something serious. What’s the big deal with a bit of tabloid gossip? Even if people find out, so what?”

Sophia Thomson also leaned in to glance at the newspaper’s content and then said dismissively.

“What do you know!”

Aman Louis scolded loudly, “Do you think I’m not aware that such things can’t shake us? Or do you think that Donnie doesn’t know?”

“Donnie is using this kind of report to tell us he can easily investigate our affairs and, if he wishes, you all think about it—on your own, who is clean?”

George Louis knew that any excuse he might offer at this time would be useless, so he sincerely said, “Daddy, I know I was wrong. I won’t make such a mistake again!”

Aman Louis snorted and said, “Fine, let’s eat!”

The three of them headed to the dining room, where they saw Aman Louis’s wife, the mother of the two, already waiting there.

After breakfast, George Louis went to the shipyard, Sophia Thomson went for a massage, and Aman Louis returned to his office.

Throughout the morning, Aman Louis met with quite a few people. Some he sought out proactively, needing to consolidate his votes at this time.

Others sought him out, hoping Aman Louis would give up competing with Donnie to avoid internal strife in New Jersey and providing other states with fodder for ridicule.

Overall, Aman Louis was in a foul mood all morning. Some who he thought would be his staunch allies did not show full cooperation with the decision he had made.
