Chapter 754: 259. Father and Son Love and Hatred
Chapter 754: 259. Father and Son Love and Hatred
Impeaching a State Assembly Speaker is not an easy task, and the most critical first step is to find a suitable reason.
“I need to know everything about the Louis family, and I mean everyone. Bring out our elite operatives; leave this matter to them!”
After Robert arrived in Trenton, Donnie spoke to him in private about this.
Donnie’s private forces could essentially be divided into four parts, the first being the regular bodyguards, which were a part of the United States Logistics company.
The second part was for doing the dirty work. In the current United States, not all business competition could be conducted through standard commercial methods, hence the existence of this group.
For instance, previously in Atlantic City, as the Surf Hotel’s business flourished, some people started playing dirty, luring gamblers to the city. Once Donnie learned about this, those in charge of the underhanded dealings disappeared completely.
Though this group was also a part of United States Logistics, they belonged to the maritime security personnel.
The third part consisted of undercover operatives within the Bureau of Investigation, IRS, and various other authoritative U.S. agencies.
The fourth part was what Donnie referred to as the elite, responsible for assassinations, investigations, protection, and other tasks. When these people were called upon, it signified that the matter was of grave importance to Donnie!
Robert first nodded, showing he understood what Donnie meant, but then he expressed his concerns.
“Donnie, although it’s not a difficult task to impeach a State Assembly Speaker, the chain of events it triggers could be very severe, even causing adverse reactions in other states!”
A State Assembly Speaker, simply because of Donnie’s dissatisfaction with his behavior, could be removed from office through various means.
Once the matter spread, although many would be intimidated by Donnie’s power, it would also make them feel as if their rights were being infringed upon.
These people would inevitably become wary of Donnie, negatively affecting his future ventures in other states.
Donnie nodded, being well aware of such consequences.
Donnie could lie to others, but with Robert, he felt he had to share his true thoughts.
“Do you know why I want Damai James to handle this matter soon, and not Sambu?”
Sambu Kalasa, State Senator of New Jersey, was not known to outsiders that his son was now one of the senior members of ABC!
After some thought, Robert said, “I understand now!”
“All right, go on and take care of it!”
Robert nodded and left to do the work.
The next day, early in the morning!
Aman Louis got up, and being older, always rose early. After a simple wash-up, Aman Louis went downstairs to the living room, planning to read the newspaper first, then have breakfast!
At this moment, George Louis, dressed in a suit, arrived at Aman Louis’s residence.
The father and son were not living together at the time.
“Dad, I’ve already taken care of everything at the company; there won’t be any problems!”
Upon seeing Aman Louis, George Louis took a seat opposite him and continued, “Donnie’s influence in New Jersey is indeed significant, but isn’t it an exaggeration to say he could handle you?”
Aman Louis put down his still-unfolded newspaper and said discontentedly, “Hmph, if that’s what you think, then I might as well call Donnie right now and concede our shortcomings, giving up the competition with him!”
George Louis bowed his head slightly, realizing his words had displeased Aman Louis.
“Riel is his staunch ally. In the Assembly, although I don’t know how many people stand with Donnie, I can be sure that this number is no less than one-third, and the other two-thirds are not entirely our allies. Do you understand what this means?”
Following the reprimand, George Louis didn’t dare answer rashly. After a moment, he said,
“Does it mean that if we can’t overcome Donnie in this matter, you won’t be able to secure the Speaker’s position again this time?”
George Louis replied softly but was still astounded by Aman Louis’s words. Was Donnie’s influence that extensive?
“At least you’re not so foolish. Think about it, do you really believe that those in the White House value Donnie so highly just for ABC and Donnie’s political donations?”
After scolding him, Aman Louis said gravely, “I think Donnie must already be contacting his allies by now, and I will surely come under attack in the upcoming State Assembly. Therefore, there absolutely must be no problems on your end, or else it will become a means for them to attack me!”
Aman Louis believed he was impeccable, so his concerns were directed at his son.
The nature of political struggle, whether in the East or the West, is not much different.
If your opponents can’t find a weakness in you, they will target your family members.
Isn’t the old man who wet himself on another timeline frequently criticized for his son making a fortune from wars?
What do you think?
