After Transmigrating as a Tycoon’s Wife, My Thoughts Are Heard by the Whole Family

Chapter 427

Ji Fei’s sudden thoughts left everyone in Qin Lao’er’s family momentarily stunned.

Expose the secret? What does that mean? The secret of her "gossip system"?

Ji Fei couldn’t help but calculate in her mind.

Yes, that must be it. After all, back then, Dad, Mom, and Grandpa investigated everything so thoroughly. If there were truly a culprit, it would mean there was no evidence. So unless the perpetrator confessed or Qin Xian recovered his memories, the only hope would be my system.

She pumped herself up internally, resolutely thinking, If I uncover the truth, I won’t hesitate to reveal my system’s existence, no matter what, to expose the one who hurt Qin Xian.

Qin Lao’er’s family collectively froze, their breathing quickening.

Qin Xian, too, looked down at Ji Fei in his arms, who was silently cheering herself on.

Such a big secret, and she’s willing to expose it just for this? Isn’t she afraid of being treated like a monster? Isn’t she worried about the dangers she might face if people find out?

The entire family had been careful to hide this secret, fearing for Ji Fei’s safety.

And now, Ji Fei was ready to take that risk for Qin Xian.

The family fell silent, deeply moved.

Qin Lao’er’s family couldn’t help but reflect and silently vowed that if they ever learned any secrets, they would go to great lengths to verify them. They would never let Ji Fei take such a risk.

Qin Xian looked at Ji Fei, a warm current flowing through his heart, as though his soul was wrapped in the coziest blanket.

Unbeknownst to him, Ji Fei was already willing to do so much for him.

But how could he bear to let her take even the slightest risk? He felt an impulse to take Ji Fei and leave right now. To him, the truth didn’t matter all that much. He was already deeply satisfied with his current life. As long as Ji Fei was by his side, he didn’t need anything else.

As these thoughts swirled in his head, he almost acted on impulse to whisk Ji Fei away. But just then, the sound of a car arriving outside interrupted him.

Lü Meihe and her daughter Yu Lu had arrived.

The two walked in—Lü Meihe was a beautiful, elegant woman with a bright and confident demeanor. Her hair was tied up in a traditional Chinese style, adorned with a hairpin. Yu Lu, the young girl at her side, exuded youthful energy and carried herself with bold self-assurance.

Some stood to greet them, while others smiled and exchanged pleasantries.

Only Qin Lao’er’s family remained tense, as if awaiting a verdict.

Lü Meihe… searching… no problems detected! Ji Fei’s system confirmed.

The family collectively exhaled in relief.

Ji Fei felt pleasantly surprised. She truly cared for Qin Xian as a child, often tutoring him and actively helping when he fell ill…

The tension on their faces eased into smiles.

Qin Xian, however, remained indifferent. He had no recollection of her and, if anything, felt a vague sense of discomfort. Still, with Ji Fei in his arms, he quickly suppressed the feeling.

She seems like a good elder. Let’s dig a bit more… Hmm, her first love was… Wait, her first love was Dr. Yu Hongxian? Ji Fei’s eyes widened.

Qin Lao’er’s family froze.

What? We never heard that before!

Or… no one ever mentioned it?

The revelation felt oddly suspicious.

Their briefly relaxed nerves tightened once more.

Just then, Lü Meihe and her daughter approached Qin Lao’er’s family to greet them.

“Second Brother, Second Sister-in-law.” Lü Meihe’s eyes lit up as her smile grew softer.

Huh? What’s going on? Is my system glitching? How did her first love change to Qin Dad? Ji Fei blinked in confusion.

Qin Dad, about to exchange pleasantries, froze, his expression immediately becoming comically stiff.

Qin Mom’s face also changed slightly, though she quickly composed herself, shooting Qin Dad a not-so-subtle smile. It was the kind of smile that said, You never mentioned this before, huh?

Weird. Why would the information change? Ji Fei was baffled. For the first time, she doubted her system and wondered if she’d misread the details.

But with no response from her system—its voice function seemingly offline—Ji Fei had no choice but to rely on her own deductions. She decided to continue observing.

Could it be true? Did I just expose an old youthful crush? This is so awkward! So back then, aside from Qin Dad, the other three Qin men liked her too? But she only ever liked Qin Dad. And when Qin Dad and Qin Mom started seeing each other, she panicked and confessed but got rejected. Qin Dad already liked Qin Mom, and besides, there was a significant age gap. He always saw her as a little sister! After getting rejected, she turned to online dating to save face, pretending she had a boyfriend and that her feelings for Qin Dad were just a misunderstanding…

Qin Dad let out a silent sigh of relief. Thank goodness for this daughter-in-law clearing my name! Back then, I didn’t even think much of it because she said it was a misunderstanding. I didn’t dwell on it, and over time, I completely forgot. If Ji Fei hadn’t brought it up, I’d probably never remember it in this lifetime.

After all, what adult keeps memories of a teenage girl confessing her feelings to them? She’d been younger than Yu Lu is now—still a minor at the time.

Then, Qin Dad froze. Wait. So there’s been more than one instance of men in this family liking minors? That’s… disturbing!

Qin Mom also let out a breath of relief, as long as Qin Dad hadn’t intentionally hidden anything.

And judging by Lü Meihe’s current demeanor, she seemed to be living a good life, far from being a romantic rival.

Qin Lao’er’s younger generation, however, awkwardly digested this ancient gossip, making it hard to face this elder with a straight face.

The interruption from this revelation made everyone forget the earlier mysterious change in Ji Fei’s system information.

When Lü Meihe turned to Qin Xian, she paused briefly. “You must be Qin Xian. You’re completely different from when you were little—I almost didn’t recognize you.”

Qin Xian gave her a polite nod, never meeting her gaze. “Little Aunt.”

Only Ji Fei noticed how his arm tightened around her slightly.

As Ji Fei glanced up at him curiously, Lü Meihe turned to her and said, “And you must be Qin Xian’s wife, Ji Fei. You’re so beautiful!”

“Hello, Little Aunt,” Ji Fei replied with a polite smile.

Lü Meihe didn’t linger, instead prompting Yu Lu to greet everyone.

But Yu Lu didn’t move. Ji Fei raised her gaze and noticed the vibrant, confident young girl staring intently at Qin Xian, her face gradually turning red.

She looked utterly mesmerized.

Ji Fei cleared her throat loudly, trying to break the spell. Lü Meihe awkwardly nudged her daughter, but Yu Lu still didn’t react.

Instead, Qin Xian, who had been oddly tense, turned to Ji Fei at her cough, his expression softening. “What’s wrong? Does your throat hurt? Do you need water?”

Only when Qin Xian spoke did Yu Lu snap out of her trance. She turned to Ji Fei, but her gaze was far from friendly. Instead, it was serious and full of wary scrutiny as she sized Ji Fei up from head to toe.
