After Transmigrating as a Tycoon’s Wife, My Thoughts Are Heard by the Whole Family

Chapter 424

Even the others couldn’t handle it anymore—not just Duan Yi.

After all, Aunt Mao had already confessed to her crimes. How could there still be a mistake?

Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt exchanged glances, as if wondering if the other had tampered with the results.

Qin Tiantian and Aunt Mao were frozen in shock, staring blankly into space.

What’s going on? Was this a mistake? Or did Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt really…? Ji Fei was completely stunned. Her system should only reveal the truth, so why did things turn out like this?

Qin Xian broke the silence. “The testing staff are professionals, the machines are flawless, and there’s mutual oversight as well as surveillance. All samples were cross-checked, so there’s no room for error. If you still don’t believe it, you can take the samples to any organization you trust for verification.”

His words were like a final verdict, giving the entire Qin family a sense of certainty and relief.

“So, Tiantian is really our daughter?” Sixth Aunt looked at Qin Xian in shock.

Qin Xian nodded. “I guarantee it with the Qin family’s reputation.”

Sixth Aunt immediately rushed to Qin Tiantian, hugging her tightly and breaking into uncontrollable sobs. Sixth Uncle’s eyes reddened as he repeatedly wiped away his tears.

“No, this can’t be true… It can’t be!” Duan Yi still refused to believe it. “You’re all lying to me. You’ve conspired together because you don’t want me—”

“This is impossible! Absolutely impossible!” Aunt Mao’s voice suddenly rose, louder than Duan Yi’s. “I switched them myself! I did it with my own hands—how could there be a mistake?”

Something flashed through Ji Fei’s mind. The facts may not always reflect the whole truth. Aunt Mao did swap the children, but did something else happen afterward?

Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt clung protectively to Qin Tiantian, glaring at Aunt Mao like a pair of tigers shielding their cub.

But Aunt Mao struggled frantically, shouting, “No, this isn’t right! Qin Tiantian is my daughter! Duan Yi is yours! How could I have made a mistake?”

At that moment, a large vehicle pulled up, bringing in more people.

They were the medical staff who had worked at the hospital years ago. Many had already retired, but Qin Xian had managed to locate and bring them back that very morning.

Looking at Aunt Mao, who was on the verge of madness, and Duan Yi, who clearly didn’t trust them, Qin Xian said, “Let’s hear it directly from them.”

As each person was questioned, the truth from that year quickly came to light.

The head nurse who had overseen the nursery explained that the two babies did look very similar, but as an experienced professional, she could tell them apart.

One day during her rounds, she confirmed that Qin Tiantian was Baby #1, and Duan Yi was Baby #2. They were wrapped in different blankets and placed in adjacent cribs, sleeping peacefully.

However, the next day, she discovered that the two babies had switched positions—Qin Tiantian was now in Baby #2’s crib, and Duan Yi was in Baby #1’s crib, wrapped in each other’s blankets. Assuming it was a careless mistake by one of the younger nurses, she switched them back to their original positions.

At that time, both new mothers were in poor health and could only take brief looks at their babies.

So, when Aunt Mao saw the blanket on her supposed baby and, feeling guilty, avoided looking too closely, she didn’t realize her child had been switched back to her original crib.

Newborns change rapidly, and within a few days, it became impossible to distinguish them. Ultimately, Aunt Mao left with what she believed to be the Qin family’s biological daughter.

In truth, Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt had always been raising their own biological daughter.

The head nurse’s recollections, combined with the DNA test results, made everything clear.

Ji Fei confirmed through her system that the nurse’s account was accurate. It turned out that additional twists in the story had altered the ultimate truth. The realization shocked her to her core.

The Qin family breathed a collective sigh of relief, feeling as if they had narrowly escaped a catastrophe. They were just a step away from experiencing the unbearable pain of being separated from their own flesh and blood.

Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt immediately took Qin Tiantian to bow in gratitude to the head nurse. For them, the nurse’s casual act of responsibility was nothing short of a lifesaving grace.

The head nurse waved her hands, terrified, and said, “It’s enough that you’re not holding me accountable.” Learning the entire story had shaken her to the core.

“So, I really am my parents’ daughter?” Qin Tiantian still seemed dazed, only to be showered with kisses on her cheeks by her parents.

“Tiantian will always be our precious daughter.”

“Yes, always!”

Qin Tiantian burst into tears. Though she had tried to act strong, she was, after all, a pampered little princess who couldn’t endure such a massive emotional blow.

The thought of their adorable little princess—had it not been for the experienced head nurse—living under Aunt Mao’s neglect was horrifying. Looking at Duan Yi’s experiences, it was clear how much worse Tiantian’s life could have been. The mere thought was heart-wrenching.

While Duan Yi was indeed pitiful, the Qin family had no ties to her, so they saw no reason to expend their sympathy on her.

Sixth Uncle and Sixth Aunt turned their fierce gazes to Aunt Mao, who had nearly ruined their daughter’s life.

“Evil will always be punished!”

“And now the consequences fall on your own daughter—it’s exactly what you deserve!”

Aunt Mao stood frozen in shock. Hearing their words, she couldn’t handle the truth any longer. She suddenly lunged at the head nurse, screaming, “You’re lying! You’re lying!”

But the bodyguards stopped her.

The head nurse looked at her with disgust. “I remember you. Back then, the Qin family was kind enough to give you the same treatment as Madam Qin despite your position. Yet you’re so venomous as to steal someone else’s daughter? Truly… the heavens have eyes!”

Aunt Mao shook her head desperately. “No, it’s not true. You’re all lying, creating fake evidence and witnesses because you don’t want to acknowledge this!”

Now it was Aunt Mao repeating the same words Duan Yi had earlier.

One refused to accept that her dream was shattered, while the other couldn’t admit that her meticulously planned scheme had backfired.

They couldn’t face each other, let alone themselves.

Qin Xian said, “As I’ve stated, you’re free to take the samples and test them anywhere, even abroad.”

That statement left both women speechless.

Finally, Aunt Mao’s husband, who had remained silent, spoke up. “Look, they’ve already said they’re not afraid of verification. This is the truth. So, can you let me go now? Since no actual switch happened, there’s no crime. Even if you want revenge, don’t keep dragging me into this—it really has nothing to do with me.”

Aunt Mao suddenly turned to him, and in the next moment, she pounced, sinking her teeth into his neck. His screams echoed through the air.

When the bodyguards finally pried her off, his neck was covered in blood. If not for the medical personnel present, the Qin family might have witnessed a death on their premises, which would have been far too ominous.

“It’s your fault! It was you who gave me the idea to switch the children! It was you… you abused my daughter, treating her like a slave! It’s all because of you!” Aunt Mao screamed, clearly having come to terms with the truth—that Duan Yi was her biological daughter.

But the next moment, Duan Yi lunged at Aunt Mao, her hands gripping her neck with a ferocity that made it clear she intended to kill her.
