After Transmigrating as a Tycoon’s Wife, My Thoughts Are Heard by the Whole Family

Chapter 410

“Ayu~” Even her tone was pitiful and full of grievance.

Wu Gu’s pupils constricted, and in the next instant, she rushed forward, grabbing Lu Yunqing’s hair at the back of her head and delivering a series of loud slaps across her face. The sound of the blows rang out as Lu Yunqing screamed in pain.

Zhao Jianghe roared in fury and tried to get up to intervene. Despite his surprising strength, he managed to break through Qin Yi and Qin Chao’s restraint, but before he could act, Qin Xian swiftly stepped forward and delivered a powerful kick, knocking him back to the ground.

“This is between my aunt and her so-called ‘best friend.’ You’d better stay out of it,” Qin Xian said coldly, towering over Zhao Jianghe. “After all, anyone who betrays others like you did is bound to face retribution.”

The room was filled with the sound of slaps, Lu Yunqing’s wretched cries, and Wu Gu’s enraged questioning.

“I treated you so well, even like a sister—how could you do something so heartless and despicable?”

“You claim you’ve suffered, that you’ve been wronged—but what about me? What am I to you? What did I ever do to deserve this?”

“Did you plan to team up and deceive me forever? To mock me behind my back, thinking I’d never find out? Did you feel happy, proud, seeing me share my worries with you while you played innocent?”

“And now you want me to forgive you two? Let me tell you—never in this lifetime!”

If her husband’s infidelity made her sad and angry, finding out the mistress was her best friend pushed her into a state of fury. This double betrayal wasn’t just additive—it was a tenfold critical hit.

Wu Gu was on the verge of losing her mind.

For her, Zhao Jianghe’s affair was betrayal enough. Regardless of who the other woman was, their relationship had already ended with slaps and divorce, and she’d ensured he left empty-handed. Wu Gu hadn’t even been interested in finding out who the mistress was.

But now, discovering that it was her best friend—someone who had been pretending to be innocent while plotting to deceive her—was far beyond what Wu Gu could endure.

“I’m sorry! It’s all my fault! I didn’t mean for this to happen—I didn’t do it on purpose! Please stop, don’t hit me anymore!”

Between the blows, Lu Yunqing continued to speak, her words fragmented and feeble.

Even at this point, she was still pretending to be the victim. Her commitment to her act was truly extraordinary.

Meanwhile, Zhao Jianghe repeatedly tried to get up to play the hero and protect her, only to be knocked back down each time.

“Enough, Qin Yu! Stop it! If you want to hit someone, hit me! This has nothing to do with her—it was me who fell for her first!” Zhao Jianghe shouted.

“Oh wow, how noble,” Ji Fei thought sarcastically. “As if it wasn’t Lu Yunqing who seduced him with her calculated glances and suggestive behavior in the first place.”

Wu Gu paused for just a moment—only to pick up a lamp from the bedside table and hurl it directly at Zhao Jianghe’s head, hitting him squarely and leaving him bloodied.

How laughable. Did he really think Wu Gu didn’t want to hit him? She simply hadn’t had the time.

Zhao Jianghe was stunned. When the affair had first been exposed, Wu Gu had only slapped him a few times—she had never resorted to such violence.

Clearly, this revelation had pushed Wu Gu completely over the edge.

Just then, there was a commotion outside the door.

It was Zhao Chengle.

He had finally returned, intending to rest, but upon hearing the noise and seeing the servants glancing nervously upstairs, he knew something was wrong and rushed up.

At the door, he was blocked by Qin Yan and Qin Jiaxi, who hadn’t been able to squeeze into the room.

Qin Yan said, “If you’re not sure who to stand with, it’s better not to go in.”

Qin Jiaxi didn’t speak, but her worried expression conveyed the same sentiment.

They feared Zhao Chengle would act impulsively and hurt his mother even more.

But Zhao Chengle had already realized the truth—his mother had discovered everything.

His face turned pale, but he still pushed his way inside.

Before he could take in the scene, Ji Fei stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

This time, Ji Fei wasn’t smiling. Her expression was stern as she said, “This is your last chance. If you make the wrong choice, there’s no going back.”

If it weren’t for Wu Gu, Ji Fei wouldn’t have bothered with him at all. To her, Zhao Chengle was someone who lacked perspective—he couldn’t feel pain unless it happened to him.

Still, since even Grandfather was willing to give him a choice, Ji Fei decided to let him make one.

But Zhao Chengle disappointed everyone yet again.

The moment he saw the scene inside, he completely ignored his relatives’ earlier advice. He rushed forward, grabbing his mother’s hand to stop her from hitting Lu Yunqing, and quickly freed Lu Yunqing from Wu Gu’s grasp.

“Mom, what are you doing?!” Zhao Chengle was shocked. His mother, always so dignified and elegant, now looked like a common shrew. Lu Yunqing’s face was swollen, with some areas even bleeding. She was crying pitifully. How could his mother bring herself to hit someone like this?

“Can’t you see? Don’t you know what’s going on?” Wu Gu pointed at Lu Yunqing’s disheveled clothes, the bed, and Zhao Jianghe lying on the ground.

Zhao Chengle wasn’t an actor—his face immediately betrayed his emotions. He stammered, unable to respond.

He hadn’t expected the two of them to be so reckless, unable to control themselves, even in the Qin family’s home. He couldn’t even process what he was seeing.

As Zhao Chengle hesitated, Wu Gu seemed to freeze in place, her expression one of disbelief as she stared at her son.

“It’s over. This is the final blow. Zhao Chengle is beyond saving. I just hope Wu Gu can hold on…” Ji Fei thought.

Wu Gu swayed slightly, her tears and the anguish on her face completely unnoticed by Zhao Chengle. He was too focused on the state of his father and Lu Yunqing.

And now, his reaction left no room for doubt.

“You knew. You knew all along and helped them deceive me!” Wu Gu’s voice was filled with agony, as if her heart was being torn apart.

Zhao Chengle panicked at the sound of her almost blood-curdling voice. “Mom, it’s not like that—it’s not what you think!”

But his heart raced with guilt, and he didn’t even know where to begin explaining. In the end, all he could say was, “Mom, they… they’ve had a hard time too.”

The Qin family collectively saw red. It was as if everything they had said to him earlier had been for nothing. Not only had he failed to reflect on his actions, but he hadn’t changed in the slightest!

Qin Xiaoyu pointed at Zhao Chengle and shouted, “You ungrateful, heartless wolf! Instead of helping your mom, you’re defending your cheating dad and his mistress? Do you even know who gave birth to you?”

Qin Jing added, “Is your moral compass completely gone? They say raising a dog would be better than raising a son like you—and they’re right!”

“I fully agree with Grandfather now,” Qin Wenqiang sneered. “You don’t deserve to be part of the Qin family!”

Zhao Chengle’s face burned red with shame. He couldn’t argue back and could only look to his mother for help.

But the look on Wu Gu’s face terrified him.

Her expression was utterly blank as she stared at him. Then, she walked up to him without a word and slapped him twice, hard.

“I have no son like you who bites the hand that feeds him!”
