19: Chapter 19 He Only Found Out That Emily Parker Went on a Blind Date 19: Chapter 19 He Only Found Out That Emily Parker Went on a Blind Date Sophie Parker really had no knack for business, resulting in continuous losses at the clinic once she took over.
At its worst, she was losing hundreds of thousands a year.
“Mom!
My sister actually has it tough too; I was wrong before.
Since that clinic was Mom’s, let’s just give it back to her, so others won’t say we’re treating her harshly.”
Sophie Parker immediately changed her tune, and even started advising Mrs.
Parker.
Mrs.
Parker wanted to say something.
Father Parker also nodded.
“That clinic was founded by your mother.
I initially had you learn medicine, hoping you’d inherit your mother’s talent.
But you never applied yourself, only earning a diploma.”
Father Parker had owned the clinic for many years, aware that it wasn’t profitable, so he simply decided to return it to his eldest daughter.
The two agreed to transfer the legal and ownership rights next week.
Emily Parker bowed deeply to Father Parker, who didn’t stop her.
He knew she had suffered in this family over the years.
Being a traditional man, he wouldn’t intervene in household matters unless absolutely necessary.
When Emily Parker walked out with her suitcase, Adam Willow wanted to say something, but Sophie Parker quickly interjected, “Brother Adam, stay and chat with my parents.
I’m worried sister is still angry, I’ll go see her off.”
As Emily Parker left the Parker Family home, the look of grievance vanished from her face.
“Sophie Parker, I owe you thanks again.”
Emily Parker’s mouth curled into a smile; thankfully, those slaps made her departure from the Parker Family seem logical.
Her mother had asked her to keep a low profile before passing away; she had always been a good daughter, even covertly helping Father Parker multiple times to repay his kindness.
By now, she had fully repaid her debt to Father Parker.
As for Adam Willow, he owed her more than he could ever repay in a lifetime.
On the asphalt road, a luxurious Rolls-Royce had already stopped there.
Oliver Ross was puzzled when he saw Emily Parker with just a suitcase and a reusable bag; it was his first time seeing a girl move with so little.
Oliver Ross didn’t ask any questions and took Emily’s luggage.
When he tried to take the reusable bag, Emily waved him off.
“The boss is waiting for you at the villa, this car belongs to the company.”
Oliver Ross opened the car door for Emily to enter.
As Emily got in the car, Sophie Parker caught up just in time to see Emily stepping into the Rolls-Royce.
Watching the Rolls-Royce drive away, Sophie Parker felt like she had made a new discovery, as footsteps approached from behind.
Adam Willow eventually couldn’t sit still, chasing after her, but alas, Emily was already gone.
Adam Willow felt an emptiness inside, feeling as though he had lost something.
“Brother Adam, all our worries were for nothing.
Guess what I just saw?
My sister got into a rich man’s luxury car, a Rolls-Royce.
No wonder she wanted to move out, she must have been kept by a rich man.”
Sophie Parker said disparagingly.
She was certain that the Rolls-Royce didn’t belong to Carlos.
“Don’t spout nonsense, Emily is not that type of person.”
Adam Willow didn’t believe it; Emily was always frugal with her money, much of her salary went to buying things for her mother and sister.
She must have been driven to slap herself today out of sheer anger.
Sophie Parker scoffed.
“Emily is exactly that type of person, her usual demeanor is all an act.
You probably don’t know, but a few days ago, Emily went on a blind date with Young Master of Carter Clan, the famous Crown Prince of Capital Circle, Carlos!”
What do you think?
