Chapter 132: Mr. Sang's Brazen and Shameless Act

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Mr. Sang’s Brazen and Shameless Act

“I’m not going,” Sang Qiao declined without a moment’s hesitation. She had no interest in whom the Sang Family intended to form marriage alliances with.

Her answer clearly dissatisfied Mr. Sang, with his tone seething with anger on the other side of the line, “Sang Qiao, your company is growing more and more substantial, but it’s still not something to boast about in high society. Don’t be too arrogant, with an attitude like you don’t want to make friends with anyone. Sooner or later you will…”

Sang Qiao didn’t even listen to the end, straightforwardly cutting off the call and casually adding Mr. Sang to the blacklist.

She didn’t take Mr. Sang’s words to heart.

Not long after, another call from an unknown number came in. Sang Qiao raised an eyebrow and hung up again, adding the number to the blacklist.

Mr. Sang was persistently stubborn, not giving up and continuing to call with different numbers. Sang Qiao simply set up automatic rejection for unknown calls, and the world finally became peaceful.

But this left Mr. Sang half-dead with rage. That Sang Qiao had always been unruly, and now she wouldn’t even listen to him!

Seeing him in a furious state, the assistant timidly remarked, “President Sang, President Liang has already arrived at the old mansion with his daughter. Would you like to go back now?”

“President Liang is already there? I’ll head back right away,” Mr. Sang said, his face alight with happiness.

He held few shares in the Sang Family’s company, which made it extremely challenging for him within the company. Now, the Sang Family also needed partnerships with other companies, and the Liang Family was undoubtedly a good choice.

President Liang had also been very positive towards him, and a cooperation between the two families was definitely a win-win.

“Only… Second Young Master Sang refuses to comply. He won’t even come home,” the assistant said with some difficulty.

In his opinion, the only person happy about this marriage arrangement was Mr. Sang. Mr. Sang Senior was completely hands-off, letting the children be. Sang Shen was adamantly opposed.

“Nonsense! He’s reached the age to marry, it’s not up to him. Today, even if I have to tie them up, I will bring all those reckless children back!”

President Sang, fuming with anger and puffing his whiskers, marched down the stairs. If his children didn’t attend, he had to go and make apologies to President Liang’s family first.

He couldn’t let them feel disrespected by his family.

“Yes,” the assistant could only agree reluctantly, although there was no way he could actually bring the Sang siblings back.

Sang Mansion

Only Mr. Liang, Liang Mengyun, and President Sang sat at the large table, making the atmosphere awkward.

“The old man got held up with something unforeseen and is on his way back. Shen’er and the other kids too, they’ve all been busy with work recently. Let me give them a call to hurry them along.”

President Sang steeled himself and rose to walk outside, planning to make some calls.

“No, no, it’s fine. We understand,” President Liang, though discontent, still decided to wait. After all, his daughter had eyes and heart only for that brat Sang Shen!

Moreover, the Sang children were indeed impressive, especially Sang Qiao, a lady who had grown her company so large.

He looked at his own daughter Mengyun, who had accomplished nothing, not making a name for herself in the entertainment industry nor knowing how to manage a company.

Liang Qiran arrived to see the empty living room and immediately scowled, “Dad, you’re really waiting? They clearly don’t take us seriously! It’s one thing for the Sang family to be absent, but Sang Shen not showing up, what does that mean?”

“They’re busy and on their way. Don’t make a scene. Sit down and be good,” Mr. Liang chided.

Liang Mengyun remained silent, her heart heavy with indescribable disappointment. Did Sang Shen really loathe her that much? Not even giving her a bit of face?

He could care so much for Sang Qiao, why couldn’t he share some of that attention with her?

The moment two figures appeared at the villa’s gate eased Mr. Sang’s anxiety.

Yet, the arriving Sang Nanfeng and Sang Siyang had been deceived into coming, thinking that Sang Qiao would be there. Who knew upon arrival there would be no sight of her.

Sang Nanfeng couldn’t tolerate this indignity and stood up, ready to leave.

“Nanfeng, sit down,” President Sang said, his face cold as he stared him down, clearly threatening.

“And where’s Sang Qiao? Didn’t you say she was here too? If she’s not here, why did you ask me to come? What does my younger brother’s blind date have to do with me?” Sang Nanfeng wasn’t afraid of his father’s demeanor.

His words were utterly unforgiving; he loathed the posture his father assumed, coercing them for the sake of benefits.

As soon as Sang Nanfeng spoke, the faces of the three members of the Liang family turned sour.

Liang Qiran slammed his hand on the table and stood up abruptly, “What do you mean by that? Do you really think our Liang family is desperate for an alliance with you?”

“If you’re not desperate, then what are you doing here? Even my younger brother isn’t as repulsed. Is your sister unwanted that she has to chase after and throw herself at someone?” Sang Nanfeng laughed mockingly.

Looking down at this brat who was half a head shorter than himself.

“Dad, sister, look at their attitude. Do you think she would be happy marrying into this?”

“Nanfeng, shut your mouth!” Mr. Sang was livid, his face turning an iron shade of blue. His sons were all so worrying, never considering the family’s interest.

He turned to Mr. Liang with a forced smile, “President Liang, my eldest son is not sensible, and his words are unpleasant. Please, don’t take it to heart. Shen’er and the others are really on their way back.”

Mr. Liang, who was accustomed to respect wherever he went, could not tolerate such humiliation.

“There’s no need. It seems this marriage alliance need not continue. Meng Yun, Qiran, let’s go home.”

“Nanfeng, hurry up and apologize to President Liang!” Mr. Sang was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.

Sang Nanfeng looked on coldly, without moving a muscle; he would be thrilled to see this whole thing fall apart.

Just as Mr. Liang was about to leave with his daughter, Liang Mengyun suddenly pulled away from her father’s grasp, “Dad, let’s wait a bit more, please. I believe in Sang Shen, his older brother’s attitude doesn’t matter.”

“You!” President Liang was both angry and realized that his daughter had set her heart on something.

Apparently, she was determined to get engaged to Sang Shen!

“Sister, there are so many good men in the world, why must it be Sang Shen?” Liang Qiran was also quite upset.

“Yes, he’s the only one I like,” Liang Mengyun declared resolutely.

Liang Qiran left, furious, muttering, “Spineless.”

Seeing a chance to salvage the situation, Mr. Sang put on a smile again, “President Liang, please have a seat. I will ensure Shen’er gives Miss Liang a proper apology later.”

“Hmph.” President Liang, left without options, reluctantly took his seat once more.

Mr. Sang Senior was just coming downstairs, having heard the entire exchange. He didn’t know whether to call the girl foolish or just too persistent.

Just then, Sang Shen and Sang Qingran were brought in, bound.

Several burly men pushed the two into the room and then excused themselves.

“Dad, are you sick or what?” Sang Qingran burst out, his normally good temper flaring.
