Chapter 133: 080 Ways to Make Money
Chapter 133: 080 Ways to Make Money
The intense drumbeat and Yang Ming’s punches and kicks were almost in sync.
Miss Windsor couldn’t believe what she was seeing; she had moved from initial panic and urgency to a single emotion now—
Shock.
Pure shock.
Dozens of figures lay inside and outside the dance floor.
The fight had shifted from the dark corridor to the dance floor.
From a few minutes ago, this group of fierce men wielding electric batons and metal rods surrounded Yang Ming, unleashing this chaotic battle.
But even with seven or eight people attacking at once, Yang Ming managed to avoid vital points, using his back and arms to withstand some non-serious hits.
Miraculously, Yang Ming didn’t know how many blows he had taken, but his movements were entirely unaffected.
Yet, whenever Yang Ming’s fists and feet swung, one or two people would go down.
More and more thugs lay on the ground.
Windsor saw someone raise a pistol to shoot, and she was about to shout a warning.
Yang Ming had already lowered himself, using the crowd to dodge, casually snatching a metal rod and flinging it toward the pistol’s location.
Pow!
The gun was smashed to pieces!
Yang Ming kicked the two people in front of him, using the rebound force to plunge into the crowd, seizing a laser pistol from another person’s hand expressionlessly, aiming at the opponent’s foot.
Zing!
The opponent immediately started hopping on one foot, clutching his toe and screaming.
He had seized the gun!
The surrounding group of thugs was again thrown into chaos.
Yang Ming calmly broke the laser pistol’s barrel in half, tossing it behind him like trash, tidied his torn suit, and said with a smile,
“Is this all the strength you have to offer? Keep coming, don’t be shy, I haven’t even finished warming up.”
“You son of a bitch!”
A middle-aged man with a fierce face charged forward with an electric baton.
The surrounding crowd surged forward again!
Yang Ming rushed toward the densest part of the crowd, arms shielding his head, knees flying up to crash!
In this situation, it seemed like it wasn’t the crowd attacking Yang Ming.
But Yang Ming attacking this ragtag group.
On the outskirts, many ordinary guests tried to fiddle with their internet terminals, but watches, glasses, and tablet-like devices couldn’t connect to the internet at this moment.
Even those who tried to simply record a video found their devices seemingly struck by a virus, taking forever to open the camera function.
Suddenly, the sound of synchronized footsteps came from outside.
Yang Ming stopped his actions and withdrew.
The remaining twenty or thirty thugs finally snapped out of their inexplicable emotions, staring in astonishment at the several entrances of the nightclub.
Both DJs simultaneously stopped their actions, raised their hands, and the music abruptly ceased.
Several passages suddenly filled with fully armed soldiers!
“Don’t move!”
“Stop fighting!”
“Protect Captain Yang Ming and Miss Windsor!”
Several commanding officers shouted at the top of their lungs, and a group of Guard Army soldiers rushed to the dance floor, forcefully subduing those still standing.
Yang Ming calmly wiped the corner of his mouth.
There was a bit of blood splattered there.
“Commander!”
Several officers saluted when they rushed to Yang Ming.
Yang Ming nodded; he had seen these officers outside the Second Prince’s palace, and to arrive so quickly, only Edwan’s trusted troops could have managed that.
The Second Prince was indeed reliable.
026 had called the police before, yet not even a shadow had appeared.
“I was just enjoying normal entertainment here,” Yang Ming said slowly, “when suddenly a group of people rushed out to assassinate me. This should be a political incident directed at the Second Prince. Subdue them all and wait for the police to arrive; this isn’t supposed to be your job.”
“Yes, sir!”
Yang Ming glanced at the stunned guests on the outskirts, rubbing his arm that had taken so many attacks, and walked towards Windsor.
Windsor broke free from the grasp of two female bodyguards, ran barefoot to Yang Ming, and hugged him tightly, shrieking with excitement:
“You’re okay! You’re actually okay! My God, what did I just witness!”
Yang Ming embraced her slender waist, dipped his head, kissed her lips gently, and said warmly,
“You just witnessed an officer of the Imperial Guard Army teaching a local petty gang a lesson.”
“Mr. Ming!”
026 came over with several female attendants, carrying a first-aid kit.
“Are you hurt?”
“Heal their wounds,” Yang Ming said, “I don’t want to cause any major cases.”
“Okay, sir, although they are bad people, it wouldn’t be right for their injuries to be too severe…”
026 looked at Yang Ming with concern and, after ensuring there were no obvious wounds on him, went with others to provide emergency bandages for the severely injured gangsters.
Windsor finally calmed from the previous excitement, worriedly asking Yang Ming, “Are you really okay? How about we go to the hospital now?”
Yang Ming slightly pursed his lips, “Really okay, once the police come, we’ll head back to the car, and I can let you check thoroughly.”
Windsor didn’t catch the tease in Yang Ming’s words and continued to feel and search worriedly up and down Yang Ming’s body.
So, the next morning.
…
A ray of sunlight broke through the light-blocking layer, spilling onto the big bed in the top floor suite of the Ilando Interstellar Hotel.
Yang Ming looked down at his right-hand side, at the beautiful woman clinging to his large hand like a cat.
Miss Windsor’s long hair was scattered, her flawless skin, clavicle resembling an angel’s nascent wings, and the beautiful side profile on her slender neck made her look so alluring.
Like a sleeping nature goddess.
Yang Ming couldn’t help but twitch his finger, gently gliding over her smooth skin.
The feedback on his fingertips was incredibly real, reminding Yang Ming that this was a real world.
Passion flared up in Yang Ming’s heart.
But Windsor’s sleepy murmurs made Yang Ming a bit hesitant to disturb her further.
Yang Ming covered her smooth back with a thin quilt, got out of bed, and picked up his watch, and several information pop-ups immediately appeared in front of him.
Last night was great.
In every aspect.
Yang Ming tiptoed to the outer room of the suite, rubbing his brow to get his brain active, scenes from last night’s events flashing before his eyes.
The chaotic brawl at the nightclub lasted more than ten minutes before Edwan’s guard team quickly arrived, and those fully armed guards controlled the situation effortlessly.
Dozens of thugs, part of a criminal gang, were taken down by Yang Ming in and around the dance floor.
Looking back on the whole battle process, the most memorable details for Yang Ming were the high-heeled shoe that flew past his ear and the designer bag that struck him on the head.
It took over ten more minutes after the security team controlled the field for the police to finally show up.
When the police wanted to drag Yang Ming and the group of gangsters to the station, Yang Ming threw his Royal Guard Army officer’s ID right in their deputy chief’s face.
Yang Ming, of course, showed no courtesy to these officers.
With police hovercars able to ignore lanes and travel omnidirectionally, it took them half an hour to get there. Yang Ming didn’t believe for a second that these officers weren’t in bed with the local gangs, even if it killed the Third Prince.
Afterward, Yang Ming and Windsor slipped away, leaving the mess for Edwan’s men to handle.
They went for a coastal drive, kissed in the car, then Yang Ming drove them to the interstellar hotel, where they spent a wonderful night.
Now, with fun done and dusted,
Yang Ming began seriously reading the information Lyu had gathered.
This was a political incident, someone attacked a trusted aide of the Second Prince.
Edwan reacted fiercely, directly pressuring the police department and guard regiment to thoroughly investigate the matter, but the police response remained slow.
Yang Ming quickly realized just how outrageous the Third Prince’s plot to get him was from start to finish.
Lyu conducted a reverse investigation based on the gang the thugs belonged to and confirmed the entire process of the plan’s implementation.
The Third Prince issued the order, his aide withdrew six million Wind Coins from his private finance office as operating expenses for the plot. Then, the aide contacted a retired old spokesman from a local gang, offered four million Wind Coins as a reward. That old spokesman made a phone call, bought a leg of Yang Ming’s for two million Wind Coins, and subcontracted the job to a newly rising gang named Orange Coffee Candy.
Any tiny error in each link would have made last night’s mob-like absurd assassination impossible.
Yang Ming: …
“I want to know what expression the Third Prince has now.”
A video pop-up appeared in front of him, showing the Third Prince throwing things.
Lyu reminded, “Boss, the Third Prince doesn’t know about the subcontracting; he thinks his aide controlled the local gang.”
Yang Ming’s expression turned indescribable.
“Lyu, now I understand why Edwan can easily crush his younger brother.”
“Our estimates on the Third Prince’s lower limits were rather conservative,” Lyu commented with a hint of disbelief.
Yet Yang Ming said, “We still can’t be careless; after all, this is a Prince, keep a close watch on them.”
“Boss, Karmi is waiting in the hotel lobby,” Lyu said softly, “I got Gudun Mah involved in this issue in your name last night, exerting some pressure on Karmi.”
Yang Ming glanced inside the room, “Let her wait, organize the information on all people related to this matter, and we’ll go and retaliate one by one, starting with this Coffee Gang.”
“Okay, boss.”
Lyu reminded him, “Although bullying these ordinary humans might give you a sense of satisfaction, our current priority is to secure a substantial fund.”
“This matter can’t be rushed,” Yang Ming smiled wryly, “We can’t just rob a bank.”
“Robbing banks in other countries might actually be a good idea,” Lyu laughed, “But boss, after you were attacked last night, I accidentally discovered some wealth more suitable for us to directly seize.”
“Oh?”
Yang Ming’s interest was piqued, “What wealth?”
“Dirty money,” Lyu explained concisely, “For example, the Orange Coffee Candy gang with the girlish name engages in security, extortion, loan-sharking, and some gray market businesses, with annual earnings of over twenty million New Federation Coins.”
“That much?!”
Yang Ming was genuinely shocked.
“Yes, but most of it is in Wind Coins, and they usually need help from offshore banks to launder these funds, which incurs exorbitant fees.”
Lyu chuckled, “Most of this wealth is in the hands of gang management.”
Yang Ming thought for a few minutes and asked seriously, “You mean… going rogue?”
“It’s taking from the corrupt, boss,” Lyu reminded, “This could be a lucrative way to make money since it’s all ill-gotten gains anyway.”
Yang Ming said, “I’ll think about it.”
Lyu suddenly pointed to the bedroom door, then vanished with a whoosh.
Yang Ming immediately got up and headed to the interconnecting bathroom, quickly gargled and brushed his teeth, then returned to the bedroom.
Windsor shyly watched Yang Ming, lightly biting her lip, revealing a languid smile. Her fluffy long hair didn’t seem messy, her gentle eyes rippling with springtime warmth, as she nestled into Yang Ming’s embrace.
“Good morning…”
Yang Ming’s fingers traced a strand of her hair, “Do you want something to eat?”
“You have to go to work, Ming,” Windsor said softly, “His Majesty said you should chat while on duty; don’t miss this opportunity.”
Yang Ming smiled, his hand lightly gliding over her smooth back, whispering,
“We have each other now, Windsor.”
She looked up at Yang Ming, her sapphire-like eyes gently shimmering, and she wrapped her arms around Yang Ming’s neck.
In the hotel lobby, Karmi waited for two more hours because of this.
What do you think?
