Unmade
"I see, so my plan was inherently flawed then. No matter, I'll get it right next time." Cyrus said and I couldn't help but laugh. "What's so funny?" he demanded with a sharp look. "I knew you were delusional but I never knew you were also naïve. You seem to be under the impression you'll survive to try again which is either hopelessly optimistic or naïve and you don't strike me as the sort to fall in the first category." I said frankly. "Are you going to kill me?" he asked tensing up.-
I just chuckled while shaking my head "No, the moment Giratina acted through me your life was forfeit. I do not pity you as this fate was one you brought upon yourself." I said as the mark on my right hand began to throb with increasing intensity, Giratina was coming in person for him. Cyrus didn't even get the chance to demand an explanation of what I meant when the very air grew heavy and oppressive as the light dimmed around us. A dark void rose from over the side of this piece of land in the Distortion world like the yawning maw of the abyss.-
In a way I suppose it could be considered exactly that but in this case the abyss did far more than merely stare back. "Am I here to serve witness to his fate?" I asked as the darkness withdrew to reveal the true form of Giratina. It's ghostly serpent shape and long flowing dark tendrils tipped in red bone spikes coiling far beyond my sight. Giratina's sharp golden and dark head swiveled slightly to gaze upon me with it's burning red eyes after I spoke. 'WiTnEss, ReWarD.' A deep distorted rumbling voice spoke into my mind that was an odd mix of Giratina's voice from the past and a darker more grating one.-
I wasn't quite sure what to make of this but the contents of it's speech was impossible to misunderstand in this context. I am here both to witness Cyrus's fate and to be rewarded as well. "Who are you to judge me? I, who seeks to remake the world into a perfect state!?" Cyrus demanded with an intense anger. Giratina turned to face the man who was glaring at it defiantly and roared. Oddly the roar wasn't loud at all yet the very world seemed to shake and even I coughed up blood as my body was heavily damaged by mere proximity.-
For Cyrus however it was far worse as an inhuman scream tore from his throat. Slowly his body began to vanish like dust being blown away and I felt an existential dread as I understood exactly what was happening. He was being unmade on a cosmic scale, mind, soul and body all being thoroughly erased down it the last atom. I couldn't even begin to fathom the amount of agony that such a thing would bring to be subjected to but I was to witness it none the less.-
If it was fast it might have been painless but this was a punishment for Cyrus's actions and thus went on for nearly a hour until there was no longer anything left to scream. Once done Giratina stopped roaring and I collapsed to the ground as if some invisible strings were cut that had been holding me up. My body was in shambles and pain filled me from the damage of being so close to that dreadful force that erased someone utterly. 'ReWarD.' Giratina's voice spoke into my head with what I could have sworn sounded like pride.-
A heat crept up my arm from the tattoo on my hand and filled my body as the pain ebbed away gently. At the same time a sort of energy surged into my aura and under my astonished senses the flame of my aura expanded rapidly even to the point of exceeding my body by a not inconsiderable amount. I was worried that I'd explode once Giratina's power stopped controlling the stuff until my aura hit some sort of limit. I felt my body breaking down under the pressure even with Giratina clearly controlling the energy.-
All of a sudden however my aura pulsed oddly before it rapidly began to contract like a rubber band snapping back into place. I couldn't help but gasp in a strange mix of extreme pain and pleasure as my aura condensed down into something new, something I recognized. 'DIVINITY!?' I thought in shock. I felt Giratina's influence on me retreat at the formation of this and I was unceremoniously sent out of a portal back to the peak of Mount Coronet. I had no time to spend understanding or processing everything as the peak of the mountain was in chaos.-
My pokemon were locked in fierce combat with the forces of Galactic and Cyrus's pokemon that had no doubt felt their bond to the man vanish upon his erasure. I do mean vanish too and not fade like if he was simply killed. If his soul had survived the bond would rapidly fade as it slowly passed on and couldn't remain behind but every single part of him down to the last atom had been entirely erased from existence so it was sudden and abruptly gone. I might not have liked the guy but even I had to admit he treated his pokemon well despite them being merely a means to an end that he was planning to discard.-
They despite knowing this felt an indescribable grief at his loss and took it out on my pokemon who they considered at fault. They were losing yes but the reckless way they were fighting as they disregarded pain, injury or death made them a threat to even my pokemon who had to keep those things in mind. Add on the Admins and their pokemon and my own were currently on the back foot and taking serious amounts of injury. My return however created a brief sort of pause in the fighting as everyone focused on me.-
The fact Cyrus was not the one who returned however was not lost on those fighting and what that meant was not as well. "Kill them! For Cyrus!" one of the Admins, Saturn I believe, yelled reigniting the battle. I was forced to activate an ability I rarely saw the use of as a result despite not understanding my current aura state clearly, Boost.
What do you think?
