Volume 15 Chapter 7: Meeting The Prince And The Queen 

While Keith passed the time with Eri, Scarlet headed down the hallway. Two maids stood before a door. They bowed as she entered the room. It was a quiet and serene bedroom. Yet, a heavy shadow loomed inside. Only one person resided, sleeping in bed.

The morning light shone down on her skin, illuminating it. Her appearance was calm and serene, showing no smile, yet she exuded an alluring attractiveness. Even as Scarlet entered, there was no motion from her. Scarlet kneeled and held her arms, “Selk, I’m back. I'm sorry it took so long to return home.”

“...”

“There's a lot of things I want to tell you; there are also many people I want you to meet.” Only Scarlet's voice vibrated in the room, and she also accepted this. She continued, knowing she wouldn't respond to her. 

"And I brought a friend over. Well, he isn't a friend, but he's someone I cherish a lot. Also, I have a kid." A soft chuckle escaped her mouth, "I guess I'm a mother?" 

“...” Lilith stood outside the door as she heard everything happening. Her hands slowly gripped her forearms as she couldn't stand it. 

Later in the day, Keith waved his hand, “Good job Eri! You finally remembered all of the plates.”

“Mmhmm!” The fox girl raised her chin into the air. She was proud. Mir and Lei also jumped up and down, content with the girl's accomplishments. 

“Why are you clapping? Did something good happen?” Scarlet entered the room but noticed the loud sounds coming from there. 

“Eri remembered all the plates. She's a smart girl.” Keith smiled. Scarlet clapped her hands, “Eri! Good job!” 

"Mmhmm!" Eri's smile became even brighter.

“Have you been crying?” Keith then noticed her eyes were slightly red. But she shook her head, “That was nothing. I had something to do.”

“...I see.”

“Let's go and have dinner. I want you to meet my family.” Scarlet smiled as she held his hand; Eri held the other as they walked to the dining room. When they arrived, Lilith was already there. She was not alone either, as there was a woman and a male there. 

“Greetings, my name is Keith.” Keith did a light bow. Elyndra also did a light bow, “My name is Elyndra; it’s a pleasure to meet with you.” 

“Tharaziel.” The demon kin next to her didn’t even hide his bloodlust as he stared at Keith evilly. It was full of hostility. Even Eri hid behind Keith’s legs even further when she saw that.

That was when Scarlet’s eyes narrowed, “Thar…” It was such a cold and dark tone that the demon prince quickly looked away, not wanting to make eye contact with her. 

Scarlet sighed as the three of them sat down. That was when the food was brought to the table. The group slowly ate. But that was when Eri muttered, “Not delicious.”

“Hmm?”

“Eri.” Keith quickly waved his hand, “My apologies.”

“It’s fine.” Lilith chuckled, “When you compare it to the food at your island, it isn’t that delicious.” Lilith chuckled, “You love your dad’s cooking a lot?”

“Mmhmm!” Eri nodded, “It’s delicious.”

Scarlet chuckled, “Indeed it is.” She was going to say this as well. 

“...” Keith was embarrassed when he heard all of this. But while they were eating, Scarlet asked, “Tharaziel, are you going to be enrolling in our academy?”

“Mmhmm!” The demon prince nodded, “Next year, I will be your junior, Big Sister.” Tharaziel nodded with a proud smile on his face. But that was when Scarlet chuckled, “Are you going to be in S-class.”

“Mmhmm!” 

“That’s amazing.” Keith smiled when he heard that. Being S-class would be quite difficult. But when he heard Keith’s compliment, the demon prince’s expression turned dark, “What rank are you?” 

“Oh, it’s nothing.” 

“Tch,” Scarlet pouted, “Trying to act so nonchalant when you’re first.” Keith had placed first in everything. But that was when Scarlet muttered, “How are you able to do things like that when you’re running a cart and also get to the top?” That was something she still couldn’t fathom; his ability to be consistently at the top was frightening. 

“...” Tharaziel didn’t say anything, but he continued to stare at him. Keith sweat as he couldn’t believe that he was showing off this much bloodlust.
